Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your thoughts and prayers! From the minute we heard the news on Friday morning, we have experienced a wide range of emotion.
Please know that I was not trying to keep you all in the dark but I wasn't sure what I could or should post. Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook have probably seen a post that I shared from my first cousin's Facebook page. For those who aren't, I'll simply post what I shared (and asked by my cousin to share) For obvious reasons, I am deleting their names.
Until we know what we can and can not say, this is all that I feel comfortable in writing and, in honoring my cousin's wishes, I won't answer any questions or post any other specifics besides the fact that my cousin is a loving Godly woman and would never do anything like this unless it was absolutely necessary and she believed , in fact, that it was absolutely necessary. I did feel that I needed to share so that you will know who you are praying for and to reiterate that we all desperately need your thoughts and prayers.
My cousin's post:
PLEASE READ AND REPOST:
As many have already heard, My sister, ********* shot and killed her husband, **********, yesterday. My purpose in writing this post is
(1) to ask that you PRAY diligently for her and our family as well as ******s family. As tragic as this is for my sister and her son and grandchildren, HIS mother has lost her son and desperately needs our prayers.
(2) I DO NOT believe in airing dirty laundry or spreading rumors to your face or on facebook. We all know that facebook has been abused in doing so. On behalf of my sister and family, I ask EVERYONE to NOT post anything about her on here or on any other media that is not constructive or uplifting. I know facts are just that, facts, but until you know the truth and the whole story, please do not say anything. My sister's life and future is at stake. It isn't about me, you or anyone else right now. It is about her.
(3) PRAY PRAY PRAY CONTINUOSLY FOR **********. We all know that with God you can make it thru anything, but it doesn't mean the road will not be bumpy along the way. Situations like this is the DEVIL'S specialty to take and blow it way out of proportion. I ask that you not be part of his game.
Love,
**********
