1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

Lisa, my husband would be right there with John just bobbing his head (Mark is without a doubt the WORSE dancer--unless it's a Polka--in the world).

You guys did great making it 18 hours. I am very impressed.

Whoa, 18 hours! Glad Hunter enjoyed his birthday! We were sound asleep at our resort while you were boogieing.

Yay!!! All caught up again so you can add another one now! :rolleyes1 18 hours in the MK just sounds amazing. Of course, it would be so much more amazing if it didn't have to be shared with 25,000 others! :thumbsup2

I guess the germs don't bother me so much. I'd have laid on that blue carpet! :confused3 Working in a hospital, I guess I come across much worse than what may be on someone's shoe! :scared:

Fun updates! Loved the dance videos, too!!

Wow 18 hours. I'd say you did very good:cool1: I bet you slept in that morning, right? It amazes me just how many people were still there at that hour.

I was amazed at home people were still there too.

18 hours is a LONG time ! Good job on making it that long. :thumbsup2

We did take a break to change and eat dinner but that was it.

I like to dance but I'm horrible at it. John, on the other hand, he won't even try.

I was impressed that we stuck it out for 18 hours. We were pooped.

Great updates Lisa!!

Would you believe me if I told you I'd never done the Laugh Floor? I know!! I know!! Crazy!! I'm def doing it this time!

I cannot miss the nighttime parade!! It is one of my favorites!

If you get a min, check your messages. Sent you one yesterday, just have a quick question about CBR. Thanks! :)

Seriously? You have to go to the Laugh Floor. It's great for kids and adults.

I didn't get any notification of a message. I'll go check now.

Hunter had a fantastic birthday!

Actually, I'm already starting on another one so keep your eyes peeled.

Yeah, I can see how a dirty carpet wouldn't even compare to what you see every day at the hospital. I don't even wanna think about it.

I was getting my mam a jam on! :cool1:

My guess with the slumber part/ showing the movie is because this time the 24 hour event was to promote Monsters University. So they did like all university/ college students do and had an all nighter,

And I'm pretty sure that your guess is correct given the cool presentation that Sulley made on the Epcot ball. :thumbsup2

A boat ride through the Living Laboratory. I have a craving for lemons!

As I’ve told you before, it can sometimes be hard to get my bunch up and running in the mornings and I figured that it would be especially so the morning after we had stayed in the Magic Kingdom for...get this...18 hours! I don’t know if Tinkerbell flew into the room and sprinkled wake-up dust on us or what....oh wait a minute....I remember, I had previously scheduled a wake up call. Thaaaaaat’s why we woke up.

Once we were all awake, we ate some of the breakfast foods that I had ordered from Garden Grocer and took turns in the bathroom doing our morning routine. I had also called Mama when we woke so she’d know that we were up and getting ready to hit the second park of the vacation. Amazingly, we were walking out the door a little after 9:00 a.m. Also amazing, we weren’t walking around like zombies. We were all nice and alert and ready for our day. :hyper:

The Martinique bus stop was a little full that morning but we were still able to get on a bus and find Mama a seat. We don’t mind standing and often give up our seat for someone who is older than us, women with children, children, or men juggling backpacks and strollers. This day would be one of them. Both John and Hunter gave up their seats to a lady with two children. They didn’t mind. After all, it’s just a ten minute ride to the park from our resort.

So where exactly were we headed? To Epcot:

As usual, I was the Fastpasses Getter for us all so I gathered everybody’s tickets after we went through the turnstiles and I left the group in the dust. You see, I’m a fast walker. A lot of people complain about walking fast because it makes them sore and tired. I am just the opposite, walking slowly has that effect on me. Go figure? :confused3 Anyway, I set off to get Soarin’ Fastpasses while Mama, Hunter and John walked at a leisurely pace and said that they’d meet me at The Land pavilion.

Just as I was putting the last ticket in the Fastpass machine, my phone rang. It was Hunter telling me that they had arrived and were looking for me. I reminded him where the elevator was and told him where I would be standing. Mama, her bifocals and escalators do not mix well so if there’s a choice of elevator or escalator, she’s going to choose the elevator. :thumbsup2 While I waited, I took a picture of the balloons high above me:

They found me easily and even though Living With The Land said there was a 20 minute wait, we figured why not:

Are ya’ll ready for a ride through the living laboratory?

Let me just go ahead and say it: I always take a hundred million grazillion pictures in this attraction. My family were farmers and John and I enjoy working in our garden and being outdoors so Living With The Land is perfect for our family. And, yes, I do know that you’ve probably seen all of these pictures before but I’m posting them anyway because I want to relive the moment so humor me people.:rotfl: Humor me.:rotfl:

If I had thought that I could get away with it, I’d have jumped out and picked a few of the pomegranates, I love them.

Entering the aquaculture section of the attraction:

Back outside which is not really outside since you’re in a building so I guess I’ll say back in the sunshine: :sunny:

I have a craving for lemonade!

**Continued in next post

I would love to sit underneath this tree, a salt shaker in hand, and veg out:

Its the blueberry boy:

Helping Mama out of the boat was a bit more challenging than getting her into the boat. When getting in, she can step on the seat and then step down. When getting out, she has to step up and still try to hang onto something or someone. Stepping up aint the easiest thing for her any more. Thankfully, we were able to get her out without it looking like the scene from the movie Big. Remember the scene where Josh talks Susan into getting on the trampoline and he pulls her onto it? No, well, take a look at this video when you get a minute and itll refresh your memory.

Mama safely out of the boat and we had time to kill before we could use our Soarin fastpasses. What should we do?

**Up next: Why does it have to be so loud and smell so gross?

Living with the land is such a nice ride. I'm with Mama having trouble getting out of the boats need someone on each end of me...give me a hand and a push and I'm ok...glad we are a close family:rotfl2:

Did you go see the circle of life film? I love that too and the village we live in is it..it is the New England village with the white church.

I also love a fresh tomato..eat like an apple or sliced with some Hellman's mayonnaise...now I'm hungry!

So there is no way I can go back and catch up so I'm just going to join in right here. :) Love all the Living with the Land pictures! That ride just makes me smile. I feel for Mama getting out of the boat. I remember after I did the marathon getting out of some of those rides was a bit dicey! She is one tough cookie for still being out there and giving it a go!

I haven't rode the land is a lot of years. I think next trip I need to put that back on my list.

You are just an updating machine, my friend.

Mark loves The Land ride (I could skip it once in awhile but I'd rather do The Land every trip than do It's A Small Boat to China so I give in to him).

You got some great pictures and you caught a couple of those hidden Mickey's too.

I'm glad you got momma out safely from the boat.

Looking at your Living with the Land pics I was amazed at how different the Mickey ears looked while I was there. I went to WDW right after your trip and was in Epcot on June 4. Here's my pic of the ears from that day!

Glad Hunter enjoyed his birthday!! Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip!

Your story reminded me of when my Mama hurt herself while sledding down a hill with two neighborhood girls. We had to pull her up the hill and then push her into the 4 wheel drive truck. My brother in law (at the time) said "Maw, I'm sorry but I've got no choice and hoisted her into the truck by putting his hand on her butt and pushing. Like you, good thing we are close.

We haven't seen the film in several years but now it's on my list cause I can say Judy lives there.

We had a lot of tomatoes this year from the garden and I had so many tomatoes and mayonnaises sandwiches. They were so good!

So there is no way I can go back and catch up so I'm just going to join in right here. :) Love all the Living with the Land pictures! That ride just makes me smile. Hey! Glad to see you again! We love Living with the Land and go on it every trip. Mama is a pretty tough old gal and I hope that when I am her age, I can still do all the things that she does.

I haven't rode the land is a lot of years. I think next trip I need to put that back on my list.

You really should since you have farming in your family.
