It didn't even hit me that you'll be there then! We ( a few DISers from the Resort Changers thread) will be there the 9th to the 13th...although I am considering adding on the ngt of the 13th at POP because the flights are better coming home on Monday.

Of course, that means paying for an extra resort night...changing resorts and not even having a tkt for the extra day and probably being alone that one ngt...but I'd rather spend the money on Disney for a ngt than give it to the airline!

What are your plans? We will be in HS on the 11th , AK on the 12th and MK that evening, then a full day at MK on the 13th, flying home on 14th

An extra day with out tickets isn't so bad, do some DTD shopping or relaxing. I always need some relaxing after Disney "vacations"!

I don't mind a day without a tkt - although it turns out one of our RCers will be staying for another week, so will not be alone. Wil go to DTD, maybe visit some of my favorite resorts - one day will fly by all too quickly! All the years we traveled to WDW for a week, we never went to the parks every day - maybe 4/5 out of a 7 ngts.

Think our plans are Jan 10th MK, 11th EPCOT, 12th maybe AK morning, MGM afternoon, MK evening...not sure. With just 3 days left on my non-expiring hopper, would be happy to skip AK, but it is the favorite of one in our group. I'd like to get to MK twice, EPCOT and half day at MGM.


It is Marathon weekend, so resorts will be full and parks might have some later open times...although Disney gets things going very early, so regular guests can get into the parks. Traffic is horrible until everything is cleared out after the races - Friday is Family 5K at EPCOT so that will not cause any disruption, but the Half is Saturday and Full on Sunday - Disney provides extra buses for the runners and those cheering...but it is a traffic mess for a few hours.

My brain is on overload today....M&M went to the beach with the munchkin for a couple of days...so I am here with the two pups...Jackie will be 17 on Saturday and has some medical issues I must keep an eye. Rosie, who is only 4, maybe 5, a few months out of the mill who I adopted but both are devoted to Mia and will take days to relax without her here...even taking valium! Maybe I should take it instead of them!!!

We don't get paid for these Free Trips so how much WORK it is depends on how skilled you are at acting like you know what you are doing and convincing them to listen to everything you say !!!

Been busy busy busy with school and work and life! Wish I was in Disney NOW!!! How has everyone been? I got some new trip issues. As I mentioned before my parents want to meet us for the WDW portion of our trip but they are up in the air so that put a kink in making ADRs so I don;t know if I need tables for 4 or 6. I did book CRT for 6 but I'm afriad if they don;t come I either won't be able to get a ADR for 4. Then on top of that Cathleen's best friend just moved to FL and says she may come join us a couple days in the parks! Not that I don't think that would be great but no one understands the importance of ADRs!

Oh my....ADR complications! Well, Cathleen's friend will understand if she knows Disney and knows about ADR's - if not, since she is new to FL, could you do CS while she is there?

CRT is tricky - is it safe to assume you've tried to explain the dilemma to your folks? If so, but they just don't understand, then I'd suggest trying to get an ADR for 4 and make it a meal for the four of you. If they are there for that meal, just explain in advance that you won't be able to add them to that reservation.

Honestly, I would just explain the ADR situation to everyone and then make easily changed ADRs for when they might be there. Some will allow guests to show up with less and still seat you, but I know of a couple of places that make you wait as if you're a walk-up (Mama Melrose is one).
