1/3/09 Magic - First Time To St. Croix

I will have to wait on the price of the shirts before I can decide, we will have to purchase for 9 of us traveling so that can get pretty expensive.

Do we have a number on FE participation yet?

Hi Jan 3 people,

I have a favor to ask, since those of you who are repeat cruisers now have on-line access to details regarding the excursions.

We are cruising on the St Croix itinerary on Jan 31, and I am hoping to have everything organized for our 90-day booking mark on Nov 1 at midnight.

Can someone take a peek at the Disney website, and let me know the start time for the following excursions:

St Croix - Daydreamer Half Day Sail
St Croix - Sail, Snorkel, Beach Adventure

St J - Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel
St J - Barefoot Sail & Snorkel

Thanks SO SO much in advance!!!!!!

Elizabeth from the Jan 31 cruise meet!!!!

I was just on the website and they really don't tell you the time, I tired tobook it but there is a problem with the reservation system. If I remember correctly you will know what time and where to meet your particular excursion group once you get onboard. You will get your tickets in your room for your excursion or you can try to book onboard.

Good Luck.

I too think this is how it happens :thumbsup2

Hi fellow cruisers!

I was wondering if anyone would like to share a small (6-person max) charter boat on St. Croix? I would love the opportunity to explore more secluded snorkel spots, but chartering a boat for just DH and me seems silly (and expensive ).

Anyone interested?

I'm sure someone will. We are going with our friends on one of the sight seeing tours there. :teacher:

I understand about the price...but, I can't give a quote until I know how many shirts to order b/c the "set up fee" will be split among the people who order...make sense? :goodvibes

Our youth pastor and his wife are in Pakistan on a short term missionary trip. We got word this afternoon that they were several hundred miles away from the epicenter of the earthquake, are fine, but would like pixie dust for their safe return home. Their 6 children are here with friends and relatives.
Knowing Nathan and Heather, they are very happy to be able to be somewhere and of assistance.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

pd to your youth pastor and his wife.

I am sorry to be such a pain about the shirts so I guess I will just pass on the shirts but we're in for the FE.

Booked our excursions tonight :woohoo: No Palo brunch available though :sad2:

Brack, what excursions did you book?
I am so excited, we are going to Disneyland next week. We haven't been there in 10 years.

Yeah, we are on the january 3rd cruise too. Anybody know where to find the fish extender list for this cruise?

We were supposed to go to the World next week but had to cancel due to son 15 fracturing his hip, pelvis and ribs in an auto accident. We we would be devestated to cancel if we didn't have the cruise to look foward to.:cool1:

I just sent Khakismum an email about FE's...she should chime in the next day or 2 with a tally.:upsidedow

This is my first time ever on one of these web-sites. My daughter told me about it. We took the whole family on the 2007 Christmas cruise. My hubby and I are going to St. Croix alone. We booked the Northern European (alone again), and most of the family will be on the 2010 10-day Christmas cruise.
We are hooked.

I hope that you will join in on the fun with this crowd. :dance3:

WELCOME!! We're not that chatty now but I am sure the conversation will pick up as we get closer to our sail date.

okay, I am back from the land of the recovering...:cool2:

1 major surgery
2 schools + lesson plans
1 homeschool plus lesson plans
:teacher:

I think I have everything under control now. I sent in my 2 sets of lesson plans to my 2 schools. I have about 3 months of lessons plans lined up and almost all entered for DD for upcoming school year...this year is going to be tough for her! The work has stepped up a notch and her load will get incrementally bigger. She is in a fine arts school one day a week plus another afternoon in drama rehearsal, leaving 4 days to get 5 days of academic work done. We are starting her off slow with just Geometry, Biology, Western Civ. 1 history, and a British lit course, after the first month or so we will add in a logic 1 course, then a government course, then a sociology course with an eye for her to take the sociology CLEP test and get a jump on college credits while she can. She's gonna NEED a cruise come January!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

As far as the TAG game goes, I only have these numbers:
9 cabins
18 total participants
11 out of the 18 are children (children = 18 and under)

We have room for a lot more participants!

Since I have been out of the loop so long, I may have missed a request. Here are the names of families I have participating so far:
May
Hardy
Goulart
Patterson
Moore
clower5luvzdiz
shelvis

If you want to participate and don't see your name on the list - PM me with the pertinent info
cabin #(s)
name(s)
# in party
#of kids with ages at sailing
kids names
any celebrations
any allergies

Ok, now back to your regularly scheduled mayhem.:dance3:

Been off the boards for a while and getting excited now that we are T minus 2 months and counting! Got a cool pirate hat when Halloween decorations were out ... and getting WAY excited.

As far as our FE count we are going to be 3 in our cabin... me, DS 14, and DD 10.

Can you give examples of what we do in the FE and how often? or just refer me to the post number so I can refresh.

Sorry the last 5 1/2 months have been a blur... I had even forgotten some of my posts as I was playing... and continue to play catch up!

Who is doing T-shirts? We will need 8 total... I will send sizes... I have been losing weight like crazy over the last few months and have now started a pretty busy exercise schedule to keep it falling off and not get sooo flabby before cruise time.

We just paid our final bill last week so we are SET and EXCITED! It was totally God that allowed it... I am looking forward to meeting all the disboard friends who have been there during this time for us. And whose lives I have shared experiences with as well...

Any news on changes to the Magic after dry dock? I haven't studied that yet

Thanks!

One of the activities I have been getting into is hiking and geocaching... there are caches in St. Croix and St. Thomas.... can't find Castaway Cay... but I might leave one there if I can...:cool1:

Any Geocachers in our disboard group?:wizard:

Hey ya'll, I just plugged in some reservation request on the disneycruiseline website to try and see how full our cruise would be and it looks like there are still lots of rooms to chose from so I wonder if we will have a full ship or not. I am hoping for not so it won't be as crowded.

Do we have a status on the FE's? I want to start putting our goodie bags together. Let me know.

Thanks

My TA said that with the current economic issues many have not made final payment and pulled back to reset their deposits to future cruise time instead of this on... she said there were even Cat 12 cabins still available!

They may discount the rates at the last minute to fill it up but I also hope it isn't full... I love January cruises :):goodvibes
