1/3/09 Magic - First Time To St. Croix

Hi all, we are planning on booking this cruise but I am still working out the details about if we should use our DVC points in combo with cash. Our cast is:
Myself: Theresa, DH-Chris, DS-Andy(14), Brian(12), Matthew(3), DD-Maddy(5). The maybe's are my parents or aunt and cousin. I hope this will work out for us.
We've been on three disney cruises before and this will be our 4th. We also booked a December 2008 cruise last year on the Member cruise but I will have to bump that ressie, does anyone know who that works? I will be transfering an existing ressie and using DVC points and I want to take advantage of the best deal I can. Can I do that?

Hopefully we'll see you all later.

Ok, I just got off the phone with DVC and it looks like most of the quad rooms are booked so the ship will be pretty full. I still have not made my ressies because I will have to discuss it with DH about a cat 9 on the 1st floor. I don't think he likes that.

I'm baaaaack! I was...if you can believe this...completely without computer for a little over a week! :scared: I went to Madison Wisconsin for a DCI tournament and then a TKD tournament...both were excellent! I had a great time, and it was really good to get home to my family.
Think of me tonight...I have 6 giggly 8 year olds spending the night at my house for Katharin's birthday party. :scared1: If you don't hear from me for a couple of days, it's b/c I'm recovering! (hee hee!)

Annette is doing good. She had a "little" surgery on her right hand for some carpal tunnel and trigger finger in her thumb. She is doing good.

I think Dennis & Angie's eminent retirement, selling the home, moving and the "big" cruise all were factors. I'm really going to miss them. :sad2:

I hope Annette is healing nicely. How's JoJo?
I was looking forward to spending some time with Dennis & Angie. I hope their retirement plans go well. Do they have a date set yet? Has the house sold?
Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

I remember those days. I miss them sometimes, but not often.

Ok guys, my aunt is on board with going on this cruise so I called Costco and I think I have worked it out on my end between DVC points and using Costco so I'll let you all know tomorrow after I get off the phone with Costco again.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :yay: :cheer2:

oh no, I just read the reviews for room 5500 and it does not bode well. This happens to be the room I booked for my aunt's family. Do you all think I should try to change it or have Costco try and get a discounted rate for it. Apparently it's right above the Walt Disney Theatre so you can hear the music and base from rehearsals and shows. I am afraid they will not like that with this being their first disney cruise.

UOTE=brack;26041728]Welcome Aboard! :thumbsup2

We live in MD too  Our current home is in Nottingham (NE Baltimore County near White Marsh Mall)

You will love cruising. :lovestruc My DW thought she would have a problem with being seasick but in 7 cruises she never got sick.

Thanks.... we live in Havre de Grace... (not too far from you ) DH was born and raised here.. we moved here 10 years ago.. I grew up in Fallston Md. almost my whole life, prior to that we lived in Baltimore... :)

We too are booked on this cruise, just found out about this site, hope to get alot of use out of it.

Jeff & Jacquie

Thanks Tinytink.

This will be our 7th cruise, and second with Disney, enjoy it last time, so only expect the same this time.

That sounds good, we have been on 4 cruises and three were Disney. We actually were finally able to talk other family members into it this time otherwise we would have just waited to sail in 09 or 2010.

Anyone like that idea?:confused3

We could do... "Double the Saints" on the top... mickey head... or DCL logo if we could do that... and "Double the Fun!" then different color and font "January 2009".:cheer2:

I am excited to see new folks on here and sounds like everyone's excitement is building.....:yay:

My brother, sis and law and their 3 kids have NO IDEA how much fun they will have! Their kids are 6, 4, and 1. We have lots of family to babysit the 1 year olde and I really selfishly invited them so I could watch the 4 and 6 year old on their first Disney cruise.:rotfl: :rotfl:

They lived in Orlando and have the Mickey hats and have had Disney season passes... but never the cruise... so what a great time! My brother is chained to his Blackberry thanks to his WONDERFUL company... and he is sooo excited that he can turn it off and check online once a day and feel at ease that all is well with the world...

I can't wait for the excursions to get posted...

We are about to buy a house... and will be settled in by then... we even have our dog sitters lined up!:thumbsup2

So who is doing tshirts and when is the deadline for picking a theme and shirt color and type and making them/paying for them???? will we get them on the cruise or will the price include shipping so we have them to wear onto the cruise?

Okay... Ready to hear from you guys!:surfweb:
