1/3/09 Magic - First Time To St. Croix

We are hoping to fly down on New Years Day and stay at All Star Movies for two nights. (We already have the room reserved but not our flight yet.)

We all know about that Chicago weather........our flight was to return Dec. 1 last sailing.....remember the ice storm???

Yes, I do remember THAT ice storm. It was a bad one. But, this weekend we were able to spend time in our backyard!:cool1:
We were on the Dec 8 cruise last year, and flew in a day early and stayed at the Airport Hyatt, that was fun, we spent the day at the pool, ate in the food court and did not have to get up at 3:00AM to catch a flight to cruise. This time we are going down two days early (we hope), we will have a car and can do some Disney World shopping before the cruise.

Well, I guess I have been asleep, because a lot has happened since I last logged on! Diane, count us in for the FE. Let me know what info I need to get to you. Whoever is doing the shirts (Kelley, I presume that this is you) count us in for that too. More soon, kids are calling.

Hi everyone! Today is our 43rd anniversary. Where does time go? I feel like the last 20 years went by in a week.

Congratulations Judy! I feel like such an amateur at only 13 1/2!!!
I hope you get to do something together today.

Thanks, it doesn't seem possible, I even took the calculator out to check my math.
We are going on vacation Saturday, we usually go away for anniversary week, but this year my co-worker took "my" week.

how dare she take your week!!! ;) I hate it when somebody takes the vacation time I want! Where are you going?

On the upside, I just booked our hotel for the night before the cruise!!!!!!!! Staying at the LaQuinta Airport West...$85 + free hot breakfast. With 5 of us, and my kids can pack away the food, this is great! Just 1 more thing to really make the cruise seem real! :yay: :woohoo:

We are taking a road trip. We are in the third year of our RTE 66 saga. (It took us four weekends to do Illinois in 2006) We are doing part of Missouri (we did most of MO and KS last year) and some of Oklahoma. We are also spending a few days in Branson. We enjoy Branson entertainment & food & fun and usually weather is warmer there than here in Chicagoland.

We are staying at All Star Movie for two nights before the cruise.

Enjoy your trip! DH and I are originally from Missouri, although we met here in Georgia. His mom's family lives in Sullivan, MO which is right on RT66.
My cousin dances in 1 of the theatres in Branson, although I've never been. It would be neat to do sometime.

Beth -
I've got you and Chris down for the tag game. I just need your cabin # and which anniversary # y'all are celebrating -10 right? You two don't have any allergies we need to worry about do you?

Good to see you on the list again! ;) And yes, we do need to have a logistics/planning party...besides Kelley needs it baaaad!:rolleyes1

I have been checking this thing dang near everyday. Our Cabin number is 7618 and we are celebrating our 10 year ann. Of course by then it will be 10.75 years, but that is OK.

The party is a must.

DH got a job! I know a lot can still happen between now and January, but he's really excited. It is with another church. He actually interviewed with them the day after he found out he would be losing his other job. :yay: :cheer2: He starts tomorrow, and is very excited about the posibilities with this church, and the people he will be working with. God is good!

Heck Yeah!!! Congrats you guys. I am so glad to hear things worked out. Sorry we weren't there yesterday, but we were in Blue Ridge, laying back and enjoying the hot tub.

 :yay: Congrats to Patrick. Hope everything with the new job is great:woohoo: Just make sure you both conserve your energy for Oct and Jan. YOU'LL NEED IT.:cool1: :cool1:  :yay: party:

OK, so I know I'm anal retentive, and I'm OK with that ;)
Did we decide that I was taking care of shirts (which is fine) or that somebody else was (which is also fine). I just can't remember. I know we've got time, but it's that anal retentive thing!

What color do we want? Plain boring white? DisBoard green??? :thumbsup2
Did we want just a lapel design? People's names? "Cruise title" and/or theme? Somebody help me out here...I'm too impatient to wade back through all the pages of posts :upsidedow

As mentioned previously, my friend who has the embroidery shop did order the DCL patterns off of Ebay, so we could have something fairly custom.

OK...gotta toddle off to work now...time to take out some aggression on a poor defenseless punching bag!!! :yay:
