We are planning to meet up on boarding day and would like to know who to expect!

When/where is the boarding day meet up? I'm not participating in the FE, but I'd be interested in the meet&greet gathering.

I was going to post that this morning, but i had a race to attend.



Meet Up Info::

Meet in Promenade Lounge @ 3.

That should give everyone time to get on the ship and check out their cabin, etc.
There is usually a ship tour around 2 or 2:30, if people want to do that, they should still be able too.
They will call for lifeboat drill at 4, so we'll have up to an hour to meet, if we choose to do so.

All ages are welcome, but I realize that could be nap time for some of the young ones, mine included.

DH gently reminds me I have a lot on my plate already this week and FE for this cruise is probably not a very good idea given all I have to complete. He is probably right. So sorry, but I think we will not play this time!

Update on the meetup.

Futurist heard back from concierge and they say they can't confirm that Diversions won't be used for other activities.

We will change the meet up to the Promenade Lounge @ 3 to be safe. It is on Deck 3 and is between Triton's and Parrot Cay Dining Rooms.

D__ in general refers to 'Dear Family Member or other significant person
it can be used on most any forum or online posting.

Hello Jan 28 cruisers

I am not on your cruise but we are taking the same cruise about a month later (March 11) and would REALLY appreciate if one of you would be willing to post the Navigator or email it to me. I am just interested in the page(s) that show the grid of activities. I am really curious to see what activities are being planned and when!

I look forward to hearing how you liked this cruise because I beleive you are the first to sail on this itinerary...

Me too! I'm also attending the AEP and will be "semi solo" as well. I have a roommate from another agency; here's hoping we're compatible. I did another AEP a few years ago and loved it.

Let's try to keep an eye out for each other on board. Is there a secret DIS handshake we could use?

Disney Wonder 5 Night Miami/Cozumel/Grand Cayman

I was on that sailing. Lots of fun. My 9-year-old son highly recommends Gaga Ball for any children on board.

We hit a cold front after Cozumel which caused our Pirates in the Caribbean deck party to be a bit rainy and had some rough seas (12-foot waves) that night. But I loved the rough water and spent some time in the Quiet Cove pool the next morning, enjoying my own personal "wave pool." Here's hoping for smoother sailing this time -- or at least more people willing to party it up in the wave pool if it's rough!

To those that have already signed up, please give us your cabin number! If that is unknown at this time, please let us know as soon as you get it OR PLEASE show up to the cruise meet! IF these options don't work out, then we may be able to figure something out using a white board on my stateroom door.

If you showed previous interest (long long ago before we had a list going), make sure you on are the list please! I don't want to leave anyone out, but I don't want to assume either and have people make or buy things for someone who isn't reciprocating.

Due to the last minute planning of this cruise our FE will consist of some sort of Disney gift bag with our names on it
We do have our magnets prepared though.

The FE is officially closed now. Only 5 days before the cruise,
Good news is it is a short list and most of us are on the same deck!


Reminder: The meet up will be at 3PM in the PROMENADE LOUNGE.
It can be a brief 'hello' or as long as an hour! It will be a good place for the kiddos to meet, so they'll have a familiar face or two in the kid clubs. Hopefully, we can get a good group photo!



Other noteworthy stuff:

I saw, our fellow cruiser, MattyIce spotted that the 'semi formal' day that we heard of from the other 5 night cruise (the one with CC) was switched back to 'Optional Dress Up' on the 1/14/13 sailing of our itinerary. Good catch! And way to go DCL for confusing us more on dress code. I think futurist also heard that we will be having a 'semi formal' night from the concierge group. So who knows!

It looks like there will be quite a few Tasting Seminars, if you are interested in any of them (you can find them in the navigators that were posted this week), go to guest services as soon as you board to book it. With all these crazy party solo Travel Agents on board , they are likely to fill up.

We only have 2 days left to book activities online ourselves (spa, adult dining, excursions) . They close out reservations 3 days prior to cruising.


I can't believe we're only 5 days away!

Anyone done packing? I started 2 weeks ago, but now I can't remember what still needs to be packed. ACK!

May one ask what the AEP is? I presume this is for travel agents. Are there are some activities specifically for TAs?

Meanwhile, please join us at the Disboards meet, at the Promenade Lounge on deck 3. At least that way all the TAs have a place to meet and compare notes!
