I have a few questions for everyone.....

1. Does anybody know if I buy alcohol in Key West if it'd be any issue bringing this back onto the boat?

2. Are we getting back our fuel surcharges? Pretty Please?

Fuel surcharges should be an OBC for everyone who paid it!

Quick FE question...I am wondering when we want to finalize details (who delivers when, etc); as some people may be traveling a few days before the cruise (I know we are) and I want to finalize my stuff...Any thoughts? Would about 10 days before be ok??? What do other threads do???

I'm game for whatever. We leave the windy city (Buffalo- we presently have 50 mph gusts as a cold front moves in) Janu 21 for florida. But we can check email from my inlaws up until jan 23. But I think 10 days sounds perfect. Sophie, do you think you'll have your cabin # by then?

one can only hope!!! From what the good people on the Dis are telling me, tomorrow would be a safe bet to get a number. As soon as I have it I will post it here. I am guessing latest will be 2 weeks prior.

Pls keep praying to the upgrade fairy for us!!!

Not sure what other DIS groups do, but I think we could finalize details 10 days out, that sounds reasonable. Are we all thinking we would like to assign days that each family would deliver FE gifts? That sounds like a good plan that way all the gifts are not delivered on the same day.

I think assigning a day for delivery to each participating family 10 days out from the cruise is a great idea!

someone, somewhere back had suggested handing out the FE loot in the first 3 days of the cruise (assign a few families each day) and then the last few days could be for anyone who wants to do anything extra. I'll bet there are lots of "gifts" that people will want to use while on the boat. EXAMPLE- someone makes something for pirate's night, and then they get friday as their day. Also, things might get crazy on the last day or two of the cruise.
Just a thought. I'll do whatever everyone else wants to do. I would just hate for someone to put a lot of work into something, and then it wont be used as intended. thoughts????

My wife (no age -- she'd kill me for posting it), my 7 & 1/2 yr old son, and my 11 month old son will also be on this cruise! BTW: I called dcl today, and they told me that my GTY cabin won't be assigned until I get to port! Major bummer (and major worries about no upgrade).

I was kind of thinking the same thing that someone might have something for a specific day/night and might need to get it passed out sooner rather than later in the cruise. I don't know a good way around this unless people would like to request a specific day to pass out their "gifts" or like you said Cyndi just pass out the first 3 days of the cruise. I will also do what ever everyone else wants to do.

What if people just do it whenever they want to do it? We could find out who has mulitple items to see how many people will be making more than one round. Then, we know for sure that we can look forward to surprises mulitple days.

that line confused me. Did you mean let people hand stuff out whenever? and if they have lots of stuff spread it out over a couple of days?
The only thing that worries me about the "whatever" schedule, is that the FEs could get really full, then stuff could fall out and go missing, or stepped on. Again, back to my original thought- i would hate for people to put a lot of work into something and then it goes missing or stepped on and ruined. What do we have 12 families? Maybe 4 per night? Not sure how to do this. is there an instruction book to follow? anyone else done the FE thing before? what were other's experiences?

I would prefer a schedule...that way the FE`s do not get overloaded with stuff, and it is so much fun to receive on a staggered schedule...Kind of like Christmas everyday!

Just my 2 cents...I am easy, will do whatever!
