We have booked our excursions, Key West we are doing on our own, I am not sure how long we will spend there. Anyone who has been there know how the old torlley tour really is? Just would like some feedback from "real people!"
Grand Cayman we are doing the Stingray city excursion- my son LOVES animals and will really enjoy this I think.
We are doing the beach break in Cozumel this is what my kids chose. We spent some time at the beach in ST. MArtin on our last cruise and they love the beach. They don't need the beach toys, but my son says they look "really cool"! :confused3 My husband will be the one out int he water with them, I rarely if ever get in! I will be the one in a lounge chair with a drink- anyone else on the beach at that time- come find me I am always up for a chat!! I'll probably have my fave in a book, but company is always welcome!
Castaway Cay my husband and son are parasailing in the morning, again I will be on the beach with a book and a drink!
Here's hoping for GREAT weather! We leave Germany in 30 days!

Eriecruiser08- I am originally from Rochester NY and I know about the cold- Being here in Germany is actually not too different unfortunately!:rotfl:

Can't wait to see everyone!

I'm from the Rochester area! East of Rocheter in Wayne county! It's a balmy 28 outside with light snow.....I hope the snow is here in 13 days...it's totally like us to have snow now, have it all melt and then have a depressing gray christmas........boo!

Merry Christmas everyone if I don't talk with you guys sooner! :santa:

Hi Marsha,

we are trying to get early seating and if we don't we unfortunately won't eat in the dining room...there is just no way with my kid.

As an aside, and being a vet cruiser you must have noticed, they always tend to out you with people you just fit in. Sometimes it's weird. Last cruise we were with another couple and their 4 year old, and there were so many things in common that the cruiseline had no way of knowing (hobbies, etc)...

good luck with trying to get early seating. when i booked just resently late was all there left. But continue trying and even once boarded go straight to Guest Services and try again.

But yes it's amazing how they put table mates together. Each time I have had something in common with at least one person at the table.

Marsha

Marsha, I just checked our dining and it now says main. We have been showing as late up until now, so I guess we got switched. I really didn't care either way. You are more than welcome to sit at our table if you get changed to main. Of course, after one meal with us, you may want to switch back!!!

I feel like I was more mentally prepared for this cruise back in the fall. My fish extender is pathetic. I have 7 Mickey heads cut out with names on them, but nothing to put them on! I know I will get it all figured out in time...could be interesting.

I am really excited for the cruise, but there is so much to do before Christmas. My plan is to be super organized in January. Nice plan, huh? My biggest challenge will be getting my husband to understand we can't start packing the night before! Well, if I packed like he does, I guess I could.

Looking forward to some warm weather!!!

Thanks but I prefer late anyway. But I do appreciate the offer if I get switched to main.

I don't have anything to prepare for Christmas so all my attention is on the cruise like how to load up my power chair with extra oxygen tanks, breathing machiine, carry on etc............ My chair iknow is going to look like a house is on it LOL.

I will assume this has been covered but who is going to dress up for Pirates Night?

No idea here. I was trying to find some cheap pirate: Pirate t-shirts for DH and I. DD will not touch anything piratey with a 10-foot pole. So she will be a princess (that night and every other night, :rotfl: )

Perhaps boxing day will bring soem Disney T's on sale!

My pirate outfit is something i put together. I bought red pants on clearance and cut the legs to be jagged. or i have a skirt again on clearance its' black with little sequins that are shaped like a mickey icon

then i found again clearance a silkish blouse, red/white stripped tank top.

and I have goofy pirate ears/hat. so it's nothing special. buts it's fun to dress up for the pirate party.

BUt i can see where the DD will want to be a princess everynight.

Is anyone else purposely avoiding the Disney movies in the theater and waiting to see them on the ship? We haven't seen Bolt and we don't plan on seeing Bedtime Stories with the hope that we can see them "pre-paid" on the cruise. Yes, I'm that "frugal"...it costs a good $50-$60 for our family at the movies!

And I realize I might spend the whole vacation watching movies. Well...you'll know where to find us! popcorn::

I am with you we still have not seen HS Musical 3. I hope they will be showing it on the cruise my kids would love that. I also think they would like to see Bolt I know I want to.

Good point! We actually did see Bolt, and I loved it. I asked DH a Bolt plush for xmas. I am THAT pathetic. ;) . I love movies and DD refuses to see most of them, so when she agreed to see bolt, we were off. But I will definitely keep that tip in mind! :thumbsup2

Our cruise docs should be here soon! Any guesses when? Is it 2 weeks out or 4 weeks?

Marsha

We dressed up last time, but it ended up being SO much extra luggage that I don't think we will this time. We will likely bring DS's outfit, but DH and I will likely just go with an eyepatch or something ;)

I'm just waiting for my cabin assignment and hoping for an upgrade!!!

Nice snowstorm here last night - driving into work this morning was a pain. Looking forward to Christmas and of course can't wait for the Sunny Seas in January!!!!

We are booked to go on the Disney Magic January 24, 2009 Western Caribbean. This will be our 9th time on the Disney Magic.

In addition to the two of us, we bring our three kids, Daughter 12, Son 8, and Daughter 5.

In the past we have also sailed on Carnival several times and HAL twice, but for the last 8th cruises it’s been only on the Disney Magic.

Sadly, we are nearing the end of our Disney Cruise Line vacations. As the kids age, other vacations will become more suited for us.

The cruise breaks up the long Wisconsin winter. Our primary hobby is cruising aboard our own boat, a Sea Ray 280 Sundancer. So the Disney cruise, to us, is our secondary vacation. Then we sprinkle in other mini-vacations like heading to a hotel Water park resort in Wisconsin Dells called the Kalahari.
