Kelli, I just looked at the highway cameras, and just saw an amazing sunset! Looks like the weather turned better for you today!

Just in time for me to go back to work...but that's still good...since I work outside!! :guilty: Glad you got to see the sunset, I was finishing up paperwork at the garage before I left....

We're packing tonight, and another 8 hours of work and we're off to Denver for the night before a fairly early flight!

I hope you feel better soon. Cuddle time is a great healer!!!

I hope you feel better too Karin! :sunny: The weather here was better today. Well, atleast the snow/sleet stopped. We actually had more rain than snow as the ground was so warm here it took awhile to change over but it is cold now....Tonight it is supposed to be 12 degrees. YIKES from 70 to 12 in a week's time. :cold:

Hope everyone is doing well.

I forgot to mention that I haven't played regularly for about 9 yrs now but I did play at my Dad's suprise b-day party last year so luckily you guys will not have to hear me!! :rotfl:

I am game for anything as far as a get together. Somebody speak up......please. :rolleyes1

I've been banned from the thread for almost a week (KELLI... you didn't have anything to do with it.. did you? :rolleyes1 )

Count me in for any meets... w/kids - w/o kids - w/spouse - w/o spouse... The wine tasting thing sounds good... any other ideas from more experienced (Panama Canal) cruisers?

I know Kelli said she would handle linking for late diners... is that offer still open Kelli? I'm up for it!

Anyway, those are some ideas. I only have experience with the first day Mickey Pool meet, so not the expert. I do know that 3:00 on the first day seems to be pretty convenient, wherever we meet.

So, if you made through that loooong post...what do you all think?

Wao! that was long Melissa... but I like the idea of that first meet by the pool at 3pm. By that time most should be already settled down in our cabins and ready for activities.

On the dinning, I know Kelli set up for us (4) to share the same table with them (2) for late dinning. I'm sure we can add up more people.

We can have many other meets... I know we have a FOUR DAYS MEET with a certain girl from Cheyenne and her cool hubby!!!

I am up for any drink tasting. Actually I do not think i have actually even had a martini. Just the usual mixed or frozen drinks, beer, wine......you know the norm.

:teeth:

DH want to do beer tasting if the have it. He travelled Europe extensively in his 20's and prefers the dark or stout to American beer. I just think it tastes like burnt coffee. YUCK :rotfl2:

I'll do the beer tasting too... :earseek: ... I'd just do it to "socializzzze"... :teeth:

Keep up the martini talk....I might be up for a taste or two....guessing they'll have an apple one and hopefully more sweet ones......

I know for sure that Marisel would love a chocolate martini. She had one last year at Narcoosees.... or was it 2 that she had?... :love2:

Yes, I'm sure Alvaro was "tired" of hearing me tell him what an awesome job he had.....all day! :confused3

Well, you must have said that to me like a 1,000 times already... but keep saying it... feels good! :rotfl: ... I'll have to remember that next time I'm on a 30 years old Chinesse freighter with no A/C at 2pm (how would you like to be surrounded by steel under the Sun)... with no wind.... and only green tea to drink (they usually offer their soft drink al tempo...sp....) Still it's a great job!

Maybe they are afraid they'd lose money on us if we'd go to all the tasting events rather than buy drinks at the bar??????? :confused3

It would be lots of fun though. Maybe set up like a mexican fiesta with a strolling mariachi band and margarita tasting. Now that would be COOL :cool1:

I might even pay a few extra bucks for that margarita tasting ambiance! Palo charges $10 a person. I'd pay $5 or so extra for margarita tasting, mariachi, and a some yummy nachos! (Boy, I guess I'm finally better after not eating for two days! Now I want margaritas and nachos!)

Hey, when did I go from "earning my ears" to being a "mouseketeer"? :confused3
