Day 2,Key West: This AM was our character breakfast which was alot of fun.
Then went to the character meet and greet at 11. Lines for princesses were long. TIP: wait until later in the week, the lines are nearly nonexistent by the. The Friday night Till We Meet Again is a good time to see the Princesses and others.
Got off the ship about 12:30,had lunch at Margaritaville, walked around a little and bought some blue opals. By then it was hot andwe were feeling it so we got some waters and sodas to keep in our cabin for the week and were back on the ship by 3. Played at the Mickey pool with the girls until it was time to go to dinner.
Dinner was at Parrot Cay. Enjoyed the crab newburg appetizer and the grouper, which were excellent. Servers were a little better, but we missed that "above and beyond" attitude we've seen previously. After dinner, visited Hopeton at Sessions, who did know what a Manhattan was, listened to piano music, then again went to bed relatively early.
Girls at this point were loving the kids club and couldn't wait to go there after dinner every night. BTW DD4 is nearly 5 and they allowed us to switch her to the 5-7 group with her sister which she found more interesting. On the other hand, every night I saw kids being dropped off in tears obviously not wanting to be there, and this was upsetting to me. I must say the counselors were all excellent, and deserve alot of credit as there were alot of kids on this sailing and they were busy. But always they were smiling.
