1/17/09 Magic anyone???

I know! 60 days!!!! We are leaving on the 16th too...happens to also be our 10th anniversary. I can not believe it is so close and we still have to get through Thanksgiving and Christmas. :cool1: The holidays will make it FLY by. I hope I don't forget to pack! :lmao: yeah, like thats gonna happen.

I got my pairate costumes at Target at 80% off for only $3 Each!!! Gotta love sales!! Now we need to get to the dollar store for glow sticks and necklaces.:woohoo:

Now I just need to figure out how to lose 20 pounds in 60 days!:scared1:

Wow, what a great way to celebrate 10 years. Congrats! :cheer2: We just celebrated 12 years 2 weeks ago. I hate to wish time away but I too think that the holidays will make the time fly by. Although, I'm hoping for time to go as slow as possible once we board the ship.

Great deal on the costumes :thumbsup2 I bought my daughter the Elizabeth Swann pirate costume for Halloween and she's planning on packing it for the pirate party. I doubt the rest of us will dress up but who knows.

I'm going to try to lose 10 pounds before the trip because I know I'll gain 10 while we're on the ship. All that great food...it's hard not to gain anything. Just a hint incase you need it since it's worked for me in the past. My nutritionist told me to start drinking 2 glasses or green tea and increase my fiber intake by 5 grams per day. That will jump start your metabolism. Last time I tried it, I lost 5 pounds by the end of the first week. I'm starting again this week.

WOW! I guess I will be purchasing green tea today! Thanks for the tip.:cool1:

Oh thank you thank you!! Actually, if I lose 10 I will be thrilled. I may be able to fit into my summer clothes again and hopefully not gain too much while cruisin! Just have to keep moving.

I have green tea and am going to make myself a cup right now!!!!

Oh, and another good tip is: do not eat at least 3 hours prior to your bed time. That helps alot too. :thumbsup2 Good Luck !

Hi all!!! I am getting on-line right now and cancelling our Palo High Tea reservation on Thursday at 3pm - thought I would share since I heard all ressies are taken right now.

Did anyone see that the Magic is getting a super upgrade in the ability to show 3-D movies? Apparently they will being showing Bolt this week and going full boat (no pun intended) in early 2009. I wonder if it will be going when we will be there? In order to read more check out this site: http://land.allears.net/blogs/dnews/2008/11/

Just scroll down to the blog entry for 11/18/08 to read what's up with it. It does sound very cool and I hope its there.

That will be great ... my youngest is DYING to see that movie ... of course we will have seen it by January, but he'll love seeing it again!

:surfweb:

It just dawned on me (actually, it just dawned on my DW) that we're going to be at St. Maarten on the day of Barack Obama's inauguration, which happens at 12 noon E.S.T. on January 20th, or 1 p.m. in St. Maarten.

Didn't think about it until just now. I wonder if the Magic will have it televised on the screen over the Goofy pool? This might put a damper on some people's excursions. Maybe we can ask them to tape it, and show it on one of the entertainment channels, or in the Buena Vista Theatre later in the day.

Anybody else interested? :confused3

Richard

Well I'm not so interested in the inauguration, but I'm wondering if they'll show the first episode of Lost??? LOL! I know, I'm so cultured! I love some shows and that's one of them ... I'm only kidding if they'll show it on board ... I'll have it on my DVR when I get home!

We're leaving on the 13th of January (few days in WDW before), and that's our 8th wedding anniversary!! Happy 10th! We'll be on the Big Island of Hawaii on our 10th!

It's funny that some just realized inauguration was during this cruise. I've been planning to cruise this week, no matter where it was, since the last inauguration. I live in the DC area so we are always off on Inauguration Day, which frequently coincides with MLK day (same week) so that means for 3 days of leave I get the whole week off!

And while part of me would love to go (I think 1993 was the last time I went) some predict 3 million visitors and hotels and campgrounds are booked out 150 miles. I have NOOOO desire to be around all those people. That's like going to a museum in the summer. No way!

I can record it on the DVR... :)

They are my babies...who are very cold right now. It's too cold! And it's only November!

We have an English Bulldog who is NEVER cold, but our little Boston Terrier is FREEZING always ... poor girl ... but she won't cuddle up to the Bulldog because she's still mad at us for getting him! I guess it's her loss! I'll try to get a picture of them!

And I couldn't help but post this one!

Add premiere episodes for 24 and Lost to my DVR list and American Idol to my wife's. But believe me, we probably won't even be thinking about it too much as we are cruisin' along those blue Caribbean waters.

Happy 8th to you!!! Funny how everyone thought we were CRAZY to get married in January :scared1: but I had always wanted a winter wedding - I am so glad to hear so many others also had the same idea!!

I wanted to go without kids to Hawaii - DH said no, that while the kids were still young we would take them with us to enjoy...and while we were enjoying, might as well go on another Disney cruise - man, I love him!!:lovestruc

rcostello - after we figured out that the inauguration was during the week, we actually decided the same thing - that we THRILLED to be going away. We grew up in Arlington and now live in MD, but still want to be away from all the hoopla!! I would have liked to have been there, but it is going to be a mad house - glad we'll be sailin'!! :woohoo:

I'm with you there!!! I'm so stinking cold :cold: I hate the winter months. I'll be so glad to have a week of Caribbean weather.
