09/28/2002 Cruise

Not to keep harping on this, but we were able to book just the three of us for the dolphin watch. We are going out at 2 and it is about four hours. It sounds really fantastic. If anyone else is interested I have posted the web site and there is still space for three more. Really nice people. Thanks Elaine

"[We did not get the Amer Express white glove letter, though, so I called Disney and made reservations for Paolos for Brunch at 10:30 on Monday.
That was the earliest for Brunch."

Hi!
I didn't get the White Glove letter either! But when I called the Dining Coordinator she told me Sunday 10:30 for brunch. I had asked about Monday and she said that since I was scheduled for High Tea at 3:30 - it might be too much Palo in one day to have Brunch then also.
Well, guess either I heard wrong or she misspoke!! Guess I can either call back or wait til the cruise and be surprised!

" line forum! They would not let us make reservations for any other party unless they had this white glove package. "

Debbie, the Dining Coordinator, also told me that I could not make any reservations other than those for people in my room (meaning myself and Mom). I even asked about my dining mates and was told no, not even with the White Glove package since their reservation was not linked with ours.

I tried to call American Express for clarification on if we get a letter or something to prove we paid for the Caribbean Magic White Glove Treatment, but they said they didn't have anything, Disney took care of it.

Again, this only shows us all how different CM's will give out different stories! Maybe that is my only complaint about the entire program!

William - you are amazing!!!! I bow to your trivia knowledge and skill! Take them on again!!!

Thanks for the headsup about the brunch time Donna. Ave we need to change the brunch time to 10:30am on Monday the 30th of September.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Have our fingers crossed for documents today for those who are still waiting. Mike

What was the deal with Delta? We are flying with them.....

Is there anything I can get you from the Hudson Valley? Too bad those of us that still live here take it for granted. I usually get my eye-opener every fall!

Lauren

I picked up my travel docs and my travel agent spoke to a supervisor who changed us from the Dolphin to the Swan--there are three of us--Chloe 5 and John and I and we wanted two queens - at the Dolphin we got 2 doubles. It only cost $99 plus tax and with our Starwood Points we want to upgrade to the Club Level. Our agent will have to call 5 days before to see if there is availability. It is great to have a good travel agent. We can not call 5 days before, since we are on board ship and you know how they put people on hold and on a cruise it costs a lot.
Anyone have the post cruise night at Swan or Dolphin for $99 plus tax; does not include passes at Disney, of course.
The Dolphin thing sounds great for Key West; my only reservation is that I love Key West and hate to tie up so much time with the Dolphins. I could do it another time at Key West. I definitely think Key West or Nassau would be a better place to partake in this than Mexico. Mexico is Mexico. I could be very wrong, though.
Anyone doing the jeep tour in Cozumel? I am torn between the beaches or the national park there if we do not do it.
I guess on the white glove pkg that if we do not get it I will just complain to customer service.
I am going to find out at port what it costs to upgrade to category 3. What the heck--I can always say No.
It will not be long until we all meet.

Good for you Rellingtwin! Can't wait to do the doc dance myself!
eShannon, the dolphin thing should be fun, but it is not for us. I hate (read love) to brag, but here in PCB the dophin are everywhere. They swim right up to your boat, and hang around even if you jump in the water and swim with them. We used to be able to feed them, until the some fellow from South FL made a fuss about how it was harmful, and would make them dependent on humans for survival. The County then passed a law stating that feeding wild dolphin was punishable to a fine, up to a $3000. The fine for shooting a dolpin is $500. Go figure. And enforced this with undercover Marine Patrol Officers. Guess what, they still swim up to the boat. We saw a bunch this weekend. Such amazing creatures!:smooth: I know you and your family will love it.
DonnaMD, Do you want me to take you off the Brunch list since you already have reservations? Or maybe there is a way to still have you seated with us.
Great news about Shirley at The Perfect Gift! :bounce: :bounce:
Later, Ave'

We can still be linked for Brunch; just add your reservation to mine; It is under my name--Donna Anderson--it just could not be done now. When you do it on the ship you can ask to be linked to our reservation and sit with us. I think you have our reservation #--right?
I wish they would have let us link now, but they wouldn't.
Panama City area beaches are gorgeous and I wish I could see dolphins all the time! Some people get all the luck!

No documents yet. . . Should I be worried?

And, to show how truly clueless I am. . .

What ARE the documents?

Jelly

Jelly, No you should NOT worry. The documents are your cruise tickets/contracts that you need to board the ship. They are typically Fed Ex'ed to you 2-4 weeks before your sail date. If you booked with a Travel Agent, they will be sent to him/her. If you have Flight reservations with Disney the docs will be sent closer to the 2 week mark.

Jelly - I am in Alaska & my wife is somewhere in Germany. Have absolutely NO idea if we have received our documents. Do I appeared worried?:sunny: Disney is pretty good at this stuff!!!

Just so you know, I worry about EVERYTHING - So you can rest assured that if I am not worrying there is porbably nothing to worry about ..........

Besides R~Twin would not steer you astray - Unless of course you got in the way of her choclate croissants ......:p

LOL!!! I too am a big worrier!!! I'm already worried about packing. I've started a pile of "cruise things." The pile is growing!!!

Chocolate croissants? Yum! What jellroll could resist! LOL

RE: Delta deal

Delta will issue a voucher to you if the price has dropped from what you initially paid for your airfare. Their advertised website has internet only fares but it will give you an idea if the price has dropped since you bought your tickets. Even now I check it...just in case! You just call them up and ask them if the price has gone down and without any question they will reissue your ticket and send you it plus the voucher for the difference. There have been THREE price reductions since we bought out tickets in April. BUT not one reduction for our December tickets.

I really think that fine for feeding vs killing the dolphins is ridiculous - guess there are times you just about can get away with murder.

On a different note - I highly recommend the movie "Dinotopia" - yes, it's FOUR hours long but very good entertainment for the entire family. We didn't make it thought the entire four hours at one sitting though - got the dead butt syndrome! But it was/IS a really great movie.

Having grilled salmon tonight and thinking of our Alaskan friend! Can only imagine what the fresh stuff tastes like!

Well, it's time to mow the lawn - so best wishes to all in getting through the next few weeks -

Rae
