We fly to Korea tomorrow, and will be at Tokyo Disney the week after next - just in time for their 25th Anniversary celebration!

I can't wait to see Tokyo DisneySea, I've heard it's amazing!

Congrats to Jamie - I remember her singing at the talent show on the 10 day. She certainly is turning into a beautiful young lady. The Disneyland trip sounds like fun. Is Eden still in Wicked? I'd love to see it.

Thanks! I saw Eden in Wicked in November. She was incredible. She left the show on 12/31/07. There is now a new Elphaba. She was good, but not anywhere near as great as Eden was. Eden just has such an incredible voice and emotion when she sings. Wish I could have seen Eden from front orchestra, row J, center! Loved it the second time though too. Jamie loved it. She will be 16 in 12 days. She is counting day for her driver's license

I'll expect a full report upon yourr return--we're heading west for July 4 and would love some tips...good (and reasonably) priced restaurants and not-to-miss rides, parades and fireworks. We are also staying at the Disneyland Hotel, let me know how it is. There will be four adults shacked up in one room. We are taking my friend and his wife for 3 days/2 nights; I love them, but there are not enough points left in the account for two rooms.

I'm more excited than she is-it's her very first time at the house of mouse!!!

Thank for your recommendations for Goofy's, I'll make that reservation. Do we get to see Mickey at this breakfast, I can't go home without a phot with Mickey, nor can my friend not see Mickey during her first visit to DL!

We are actually stopping in California for a few days on our way back from Hawaii (gotta love DVC). My official reason is to help with the time change. My real reason, I gotta go to Disneyland. We are going to stay at the DLH on points. Stayed at the Grand Californian on our last trip on points - absolutely loved it. This time we wanted to try the DLH.

Dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom will be September 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 28, 30;
October 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, and 31.

Tickets go on sale May 1.

Were the fireworks good? Were there anything special done for the 4th?

Get to the Disneyland park early, It does fill up! Last year we went on the 4th of July and It was a sea of people from the castle all the way to the train station standing room only for the fireworks.

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is doing well! I had a crazy week at work. I thought it would be harder the week before when my boss was gone but this last week was a lot worse. We had someone quite a week ago Friday which meant most of the week was spent trying to juggle accounts. In addition we intereviewed a new person (this was set up before the person quit). So I'm very happy to see the weekend here.

I know Dan has a busy weekend - how about everyone else? We're having my in-laws over for dinner as today is my MIL's birthday. Other than that we are planning on a quiet weekend.

Were the fireworks good? Were there anything special done for the 4th?

The fireworks were the best I have ever seen bar none...

The cast members had special pins and there were special 4th decorations everywhere.

It was beautiful !!!

I've only been to Blue Bayou twice for lunch. Both times food was just OK and service seemed very rushed.

Just goes to show that everyone enjoys different things! It is a New Orleans/Cajun themed dining experience so is not for everyone.

My first time eating there was in 2002. I met up with some other DIS Mods and friends including former WebmasterMichelle, Mary Jo, LesleyB, John of course, and I hope I am not forgetting any one else! We had a nice mini DIS meet there and very much enjoyed the meal!

We try to get in each time we return to DL but did not have success on our last trip in December. It was just totally full with advance ressies.

I would recommend trying it if it is your first DL trip to see if you do enjoy it. There are many nice restaurants at Downtown Disney too!

We had Carol's family over the night before for a party. It was a nice small one. We enjoyed pizza for dinner and Angel food cake and boston cream pie for birthday cake. Went out today and bought Carol a new patio set for my birthday. Somehow, I still don't believe that's how it's supposed to work, but Carol insists it is.

Have been working very long hours but loving my new job. Good thing I reserved those vacation weeks I have planned as a condition of employment - it is much tougher than I expected to jockey into position for time off there.

I assume you mean the Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party? If so, it's awesome, so much fun. We honeymooned at Disney, and we went as a bride & groom, it was so fun! Disney brings out all the villans, who roam the park, which is cool, and the parade is great. all the characters are dressed up also. We are going to get tickets for the 26th.
