I am sorry that everyone's trips are over, but I am glad everyone got home safely.

Now we all just have to gear up for Christmas.

Not gearing up for Christmas, since I do not celebrate it.

Hanukkah ended yesterday, next year Hanukkah will be during Christmas.

I started my Holiday cards today - I am sworn to finish them by Sunday

GOOD MORNING everyone - I understand the weather for some of you is pretty bad - I hope it clears up quickly.

today is quiet - went to breakfast and read the paper, which I missed while I was away. Cleaning the house and washing clothes and cleaning the pool and backyard. I swear I am going to empty my pool and make a garden out of it. To me it is a waste. The g/children use it, so I guess I can't complain.

For everyone that is traveling, stay safe and stay well.

Hope everyone has safe travels today. We have a winter weather warning for most of the day here. It is snowing very larger flakes right now.

How is you holiday shopping going? We aren't exchanging gifts this year except for our nieces and nephews and they are really easy. Gift Cards!!!

We drove straight thru to avoid the storms that are brewing out there - last thing we wanted is to get stuck in that white stuff - it isn't Disney snow and I only enjoy Disney snow!
It was not a great drive home - we got hit in Atlanta by a big SUV and a van in the carpool lane - Atlanta is crazy with traffic! I thought we had sustained some real damage cuz my body is really feeling it today but then the weather makes me hurt so much I'm a big mess. The car is not too bad but I did get showered by my diet pepsi when the crash happened. We didn't hit anyone - only got slammed into from the rear. BIG OUCH!!!
Pulled into the driveway around 4:30 am and headed to my pillow but now have to unload the car and bring it back to my DD's house - it's their car.
Will take it slow and easy since there is white stuff coming down outside.
Will also post pics when I get them downloaded onto my computer.

Mary - glad to hear you are home but sorry to hear about the accident. Hope you aren't hurting for too long and that the van didn't get too much damage.

Went out to lunch with some high school friends today (we try and get together a couple of times a year). The snow was really coming down on my way home and it was slick out there. Those of you in the path of the snow stay safe.

We are under a Winter Storm Warning now too. It wasn't supposed to hit us, just brush us and hit mostly south of the I-94 corridor if even that far north. Well it moved more north of that and we are now included. A good day to stay at home, look at the pretty Christmas tree and burn some candles.

The boys are loving it though, we have a nice steep grade hill in our backyard and they love sledding down.

Thanks to all my friends for the get well wishes! As John posted, I fell last Sunday on some black ice in our driveway. I landed full force on my mid back and broke a vertebrae. (lumbar #1)

Just got out of the hospital last night. I am very restricted in movement and do have a body back brace I am to stay in. Forget about finishing my Christmas shopping this year. I will be lucky to be home for the holiday. I rejected a surgical procedure they wanted to do to help the pain. It would have meant another two weeks in the hospital and I really wanted to be home with John and my girls.

Watch out even if it looks safe outside. You just can't tell sometimes..
