Good morning everyone! Up a little earlier this morning as we are headed over to Ft. Wilderness to do the Segway tour there.

Yesterday we slept in just a little and then headed out to Spoodles for breakfast. After that we grabbed a bus to the Magic Kingdom. Crowds weren't too bad. We did the new Monsters Inc. laught factory (well new to us) :lmao: Very cute.

Then we did Buzz and the WedWay People Mover. After that we headed over and did Pirates. Some shopping on Main Street followed that and then we decided it was time to leave the park. We took the express monorail over to T&T and then boarded the Epcot monorail. Once at Epcot we did a little more shopping and then grabbed a locker over by the International Gateway.

We were doing Candlelight Processional and since we had booked the first one (5 pm) it meant we were doing a lunch instead of dinner. Our lunch was at 2 pm in LeCellier. This is one of our favorites in Epcot and we weren't disappointed this time. Very nice meal. After lunch we went and saw the new version of O Canada! It had been a couple of years since we had seen the old movie and it was nice to see the update.

We then headed over to the Candlelight Processional and saw the line was already forming so we got in it and just people watched until seating time.

I really love this show. It truly gets me in the spirit of the season. I think Monique Coleman, the young lady from High School Musical who was the narrator did a very good job. She wasn't the best we've ever seen (that would have been when we saw David Hartman) but still very very nice.

After that we headed back to the room for a while, then walked back over to Epcot about 8:30 to see Illuminations up close. Wonderful as always. One of our absolute favorites! Last night was extra magic hours at Epcot but we opted to head on back as we did have the early wake up this morning. On the way back we ran into a few more DISers and had a nice conversation as we were walking back.

All in all another great day here at WDW.

Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has a great day!

Sounds like you are having a great time. I love the Candlelight Processinal. If you ever get a chance, the one at Disneyland is even more incredible. This year Jane Seymour was the narrator. DL only does it for three nights. The first Fri. Sat and sun of December. They have the guys at the top of the train station with those long horns and the sound echos down from the train station through main street. It brings shivers everytime I hear them and the choir. The DL one is in such a small area in front of the train station, but it really gives an intimate feeling. Anyway, this was the first year we haven't gone in a couple of years. Just couldn't swing it with Jamie's schedule.

Snowing here. Have a great weekend everyone.

Wow! Lot's going on I see with my fellow DVC Member Cruise buddies!

I have just returned from 11 days in Southern California! I recently started a new position and they sent me for training there - will be working in our Chicago office, however.

The weather was gorgeous! Typically a high of 78 each day, and just one day of rain. There were thrilled to have the rain there, though, so I cannot complain.

Flew into John Wayne airport and found this very convenient. If you are planning a Disneyland trip, consider flying into there. Much easier than LAX.

My husband John flew out for 4 days to visit and we took advantage of my Saturday and Sunday off to head over to the Disneyland parks. Those were the two coolest day, temps in high 60's but very pleasant park touring weather.

We were unable to get into our favorite Blue Bayou Restaurant but did enjoy a nice dinner at Ralph Brennan's at Downtown Disney! Since I needed an ECV we had a nice behind the scenes look at the Haunted Mansion. DL has it all decked out in its holiday splendor!! First time we saw this and we were thrilled with the Christmas themeing - the Nightmare Before Christmas is the basis for it. We were able to ride the pre show elevator backwards and saw the stretching pictures on the wall reset. Very interesting to be able to see this.

Well, now back to Christmas planning here at home. I plan to do the Christmas Cards today and need to reorganize my purchases to see exactly what I still need to buy.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

Checking in once again from the Boardwalk with very tired feet. :)

Got an early start today as we were at the bus stop at 6:30 am. We had to catch the Magic Kingdom early bus and tell them we needed to go over to Ft. Wilderness for breakfast. We thought they were going to drop us at the front of Ft. Wilderness and we'd have to catch the internal bus but he actually took us to the bus stop right by Pioneer Hall which is also right where Trails End is. Needless to say we got there a little too early and it wasn't open yet so we went and walked around. We got to walk by all the ponies that were out in their pens and also found out where we needed to check in for the Segway Tour which is why we were at Ft. Wilderness in the first place. Soon it was time for breakfast. The buffet here is one of the most reasonable and also very very good.

Breakfast over we headed over to Mickey's Backyard BBQ which is where you start the Segway tour. If any of you have done the one at Epcot this one is a bit different as these Segways are designed for off roading so have bigger nubbier tires. They are also newer Segways than the ones we were on back in 2004 when we did the one in Epcot. We had 1/2 hour of instruction and then 1 1/2 hours of fun! We went all over Ft. Wilderness. Into one of the loops so we got to see the cabins and also got to see some of the wonderful decorations people do. Then along the water line where we had a stop for pictures. We then headed over to Circle D ranch and got to see some of the horses housed there. Back on our Segways we went down the exercise trail all the way over Wilderness Lodge and then headed back along a path by the water. This was a fantastic excursion and I highly recommend it.

After that we took the boat from Ft. Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge to check out the holiday decorations, then the boat to the Contemporary to do the same. Next stop was the Poly where we stopped to have lunch at Kona Cafe which is a favorite of ours. We then walked over to the Grand Floridian to see their decorations. On the way over we stopped and found my Mom's brick which is on the walkway by the Laua Cove. After the Grand Floridian we hopped the monorail over to Magic Kingdom then grabbed a bus to the Beach Club. We checked out their decorations, then walked to the Yacht Club and finally the boat back here to Boardwalk! My pedometer tells me we walked 5.21 miles today.

Now we are back in the room and going to chill. We might head over to MGM to see Osborne lights if we are up for it. If not we'll just enjoy a night in the room and watching Illuminations from the balcony.

Tomorrow we head down to Vero.

Linda I would love to see it out there. I actually thought they only did it one night and tickets were nearly impossible to get. Maybe some day. I know we really enjoyed our visit during December of '05.

Next year you wont have to worry about internet time. At the Association meeting they said we would have free high speed internet for DVC members only. If your on rented or gifted points you have to pay for it.

Amanda

Cool beans on the free internet!!! I'm sure we'll pay for it in our dues.

Have a great week everyone.

Good afternoon everyone. Checking in from Vero Beach. We have free internet here - only problem is you have to be in the lobby to use it. :) Or use dial up from the room.

Nice resort and very relaxing. Only problem is they are having a bit of red tide down here so we are coughing a bit. Not too bad but don't think we'll be doing much walking on the beach unless it clears up. Beautiful view from our room in the inn.

I asked if the Disney ships can be seen passing and the person at the front desk said they didn't think so. So I guess we'll miss Kay passing by.

Enjoy Vero Mary and Mark - I hope to get back down there again someday - in the meantime, I'll enjoy my time here at OKW! The family leaves tomorrow and I get some "me" time to enjoy my last trip to WDW in 2007!

Well I am home early. Both Todd and I were exhausted so we checked out tinight instead of in the morning.

Sorry couldn't make the member mixer but maybe I should have since the hidden mickeys pirates meet go stuck on pirates for 30 min on Thu.

CarolAnnC's spending the night in the hospital due to a bad fall this morning. :( Hoping her back is better and pain free by cruise time. Poor woman heals so slowly.

Good morning everyone! Checking in from our last day of vacation (well not counting tomorrow which is a travel day).

John - sorry to hear about Carol's fall. Hope she is better soon.

Cheryl - we were wondering why you weren't at the mixer. Hope you had fun at the mousefest events.

Our plan for today is we have no plan. :) Maybe go to a movie later and hang around the resort. Loved looking at the stars last night. It is so dark out that they are easy to see - even easier than on the cruise.

Off to breakfast.

Carol-
Hope you feel better soon!!

As for me - it's finals week AAAACK!!!
So aside from my brief break right now, my nose will be stuck in books until my last final on Thursday.

Hey Everyone,

Carol- I hope you are feeling better
Mandy-Good luck on you finals
Mark & Mary- Have a safe drive home

We finally got our confirmation for the cruise today. Yippee!

Hope everyone has a great night.

Not driving this time but wish us luck getting out of here tomorrow. Weather in Chicago looks like it is going to be challenging and we are hoping our flight home doesn't get delayed.

Had a nice quiet day here and we are looking forward to getting home.

Hello :wave2:

Hope everyone is well and ready for the Holidays. :santa:

We got our confirmation on the cruise today....:woohoo:

Take care and have a good night......Monika :tinker:

Haven't been on the past few days. Between going to Grandsons hockey games getting our tree up and clearing up the snow Nanc and I have been non stop. Thank god for retirement HA HA.
Well yesterday we received our 2008 Members Cruise confermation papers. Now all we have do do is finish filing out our passport app and get that going.
I thought we would have to have them for the 2007 but we didn't.
Everybody have a Magical Day. Only 14 days until Christmas. Everybody think 9/21/2008

Mary -
Hope you have luck getting home today. It's a mess here in W. Michigan. School is closed for my boys, but not for me. I am fine with that because I have a final tonight. It should make for some challenging studying though.

I had one yesterday and my teacher already posted the grades. My semester grade for the class is an A-. I am happy with that.

Have a final tonight, one tomorrow and one on Thursday, I will be soooo happy when Friday is here!!

Hope everyone has a good week and survives the weather.
