We haven't received confirmation for the cruise yet.

We are going to WDW before and after the cruise. Probably staying at SSR or BCV.

Hello everyone.

We haven't received confirmation to the cruise yet either.

We will be arriving the day before the cruise. We will be staying at BCV. Not sure yet on how we're getting to Port Canaveral....either Cruise Line bus or use a town car.
This will be our first members cruise. Looking forward to it!!!!

We haven't received or confirmation yet. I'm with you on the trip insurance.
Where is everybody going after the cruise? We're thinking about Vero Beach. I'm sure others will be heading for WDW.

We have to go home right after the cruise, due to my work schedule. But we're staying at AKV for 7 nights prior. I think we will probably rent a car one day, either at the beginning or end of the week so we can do some shopping in town, and go to Universal. If we rent it at the end, we'll probably drive down the Space Center and stay by the port the night before the cruise.

We had great weather at Disneyland Paris last week. We did get some "snow" on Main St, but my DD had to point out to me that it was "fake". They definitely fooled me for a minute though.

This weekend we'll be packing up as we leave on Wednesday for 3 nights at SSR (our 1st stay!!) followed by 7 days on the Magic, and then 2 more nights at SSR so we can go to MVMCP and the CP at EPCOT.

I've already signed up for my Owner's Locker, so we'll be able to travel lighter next September!

Good morning everyone! Sounds like everyone has some great plans for both before and after the cruise.

JsMom2 - If I'm reading your post right you'll be at WDW on the 6th. If you don't already have plans come on over to the Merry Member Mixer that day. It is held right outside of the International Gateway at Epcot from 3-5 pm. It is free for DVC members and I know a few of us will be there. There is a listing on the DVC board and it looks like a number of DISers will be there that day. If you do come the DIS group usually ends up in the back corner where there is more room. Hope to see you there.

We don't leave until the 5th so packing is our plan for this weekend as well.

Right now we're planning on driving down. We might take a half day on Friday so we can be in the area by Saturday night and make the meet and greet on Sunday.

I am so jealous, Wendy! I hope Christian is still the Cruise Director on the Magic. He is so entertaining.

Are you planning on visiting the Kennedy Space Center? If you are a fan of the space program, past or present, it's a great place to visit.

Well I think my head cold I got over the weekend is on it's way out. got to stay out of those hockey rinks. HA HA.

I am so jealous, Wendy! I hope Christian is still the Cruise Director on the Magic. He is so entertaining.

Since we just got off the Magic last Saturday-Brent is cruise director; Peter is assistant. Christian was not on. Rachel comes back sometime next month (I think Brent said somewhere about the 9th), then if Brent stays on he becomes assistant cruise director. Can't remember for sure when he told me he is getting off the ship though.

We get in late morning on the 5th and leave WDW on the 9th. We head back to Chicago on the 11th.

Thanks Mary! We are meeting our guide at 1pm and then taking a tour of the AKV models, and BCV and BWV and then should be at the Mixer around 3pm! We'll definitely look for the DIS group!

I did the Space Center years ago, and loved it. I think we'll plan for it next September before the Member cruise. There's a launch next week, but there's just too much going on with this trip!

Hi Mary and All:

I am home now. Sad to get off the ship this morning, but I'll be back next week.

Unpack suitcases and just pack them back up again.

I had a great time.

CC was beautiful this week. Water was as smooth as glass.

So many CM's are leaving for their allotted time off. New people coming on. They are training lots of new people and this is in the works for the new ships so that everyone will be able to go to their assigned places/ships when the new ones come out in a couple of years. It takes that long to do it.

Ian has one more cruise. The one that starts today and then he goes to another shipline. He'll be back on Disney when the new ones come out.

I'll catch up on the thread in a couple of hours.

Have to go get my Shelby and bring her home.


CHRISTIAAN was our cruise director. He'll be on for a while now. He is very funny

I'm not Kay, but last month Ian and I talked in length about it and for the life of me I can't remember! But, it is a smaller cruise ship and he will be the cruise director and will be able to be very creative and do all the planning for everything on board. He was really excited to get this opportunity because when he returns to DCL he will have some great experience under his belt since he will have been able to expand his skills and be more creative with his new position. I agreed with him. A great opportunity and some new skills to add when he returns to DCL so he can continue to climb up the ladder and eventually be a cruise director with DCL!

Sounds like a fun little game. We used to celebrate milestone (1000th post and reply) posts back on the blabbermouth thread and would call someone a pirate who came in an snatched it. It is fun seeing what other groups do to have fun.
