Re grandchildren - the 12 yr old hockey player decided he wanted to come & just hang out with us - no special reason, just because. He stayed over night & has gone with Grampa to the garage to get oil change in truck. Then they're going to do some yard work. So what you said Mimi was right on.

Joanne, How's the promotion going or haven't you started yet? Are you over your cold?

Amanda & Annette, So glad you're joining us in Oct. Can this gang get any bigger?!!!

Hi all! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Dan: It is wonderful for both you and your grandson to spend time together. Some of my happiest memories are spending time with my grandparents with out any of the other grandkids around. Of course I was the favorite regardless of what the other ones believe.

Joanne - I hope you are feeling better and enjoy the promotion.

Good morning everyone!

Bruce - not sure if you are asking about Mass or the BOB cruise so I'll answer both.

Mass - Fr. Frank said Mass for a small number of us right after the Saturday DIS meet. Since we were all in pirate mode we kept joking about saying the Arrrrrgh Father.

As for the BOB cruise. This is the 10/24/09 7 day that the DISers named the Bash On the Boat or BOB for short. Joanne and Roger were booking it and have since convinced a number of other SSMC08 DISers to join them. Looks like a fun group. Mark and I are passing and doing SSMC09 instead.

Postcard check!

I mailed 8 postcards from CC the 1st day (9/22) and so far, only 3 have arrived. 1 in CA, 1 in ND and 1 in NJ. But the one I mailed to FL still hasn't arrived! How did everyone else make out?

I see the BOB group is getting larger! Congrats to all going...I wish we could justify another cruise, but with our 7 night in April, 2 weeks at AKV in July and the 2009 Member cruise...Tim's outta vacation!

We have been having quite a few issues with DVC and adding on our points! 1st, they sent the documents to my mothers house, but the had my address on them inside. 2nd they were for BLT not AKV. 3rd they were on the wrong master contract, and 4th they only had my name on them, not Tims. I dont think they could have messed this up any more at all! I have called my guide 2 times and received no response. So I spoke with someone else over a weeke ago and he was supposed to get all this corrected and mail us new documents. We still havent received them, and if I go online the points are still in the wrong contract...and the correct one doesnt have any points added on yet. We hope that they get this fixed in time to book our cabin on the member cruise, or we may just forget adding the points and dial in on Nov. 2. Has anyone else had this issue before?

I am sorry you are having trouble. Our documents were correct and updated correctly on the DVC website. We have always worked with Dave and he has not let up down. Have you had a call from quality control yet. They called us to see if we were happy with the process. I did not keep any information on them or I would send it to you. Good luck!

We mailed 4 postcards on the 2nd CC day - so far NONE have arrived. We sent 1 to N.C. and 3 to Georgia.

We had a minor problem when booking 2008 members cruise. We had 100 developer points to use from our SSR add on in 2007. When we booked they didn't use them first & had it all mixed up but it was resolved fairly quickly once I talked to the right person.

About the grandkids - I am glad you got to have that time together. I know you two are amazing grandparents!!!! You really do inspire me! I beleive people are put in our lives for different reasons, and I learned very quickly one of the things I was supposed to learn from you was about grandparenting.

Use 4 or 5 pound Shoulder, Boston Pork Butt. Can use small size depends the number people you are feeding. I used a 3+ lb and we got two good meals plus I have enough for tomorrow for lunch.Also makes sure it has some fat on it but not alot or it will not fall apart while cooking.
Turn on Crock Pot on low put in the pork then mix the following. 1 12oz bottle of beer then mix in 3/4 cup of BBQ sauce. I prefer sweet baby rays. Mix them together then pour over the pork add salt pepper for taste cover and let it cook for 7 to 8 hours and then it should be done.
As I said add ingredients to pork have crock pot on low and let it cook and don't touch.

I am so thankful he has healed enough to know he will be back next year! That accident certainly could have been much worse. I think he had a guardian angel! Looks like you had fun last weekend!
