No docs here either. Now that we can check in on line, is there really anything we need in the packet that comes? Mickey Mail is way better than any other kind of mail (esp bills that come after a trip to WDW!)

Also, I've been trying to figure out how many staterooms are doing the FE (not people). I've got 19, is that right?

Thanks
Annette :)

Just our luggage tags.

Hey Annette,
No Docs here either. :confused3

As for the FE rooms, I counted 20 rooms, 36 Adults, 14 Children and 1 Toddler for the Final Count. Maybe someone can check my numbers.
The only person we don't have a stateroom number for is seaulater. Any update on that one???

Carol

No documents here either but since we normally don't get them until about 2 weeks before I'm not worried. As others have said all we really need from them are our luggage tags. Everything else was done online.:thumbsup2

I just got the stuff for the 2nd cruise... nothing for the first cruise yet

No Docs here either..... It always seems sooooo real after you get that. I can't wait..... Please let it hurry up and get here.

I went to Micheals last night and was going to buy stuff to make my fish extender, but I couldn't decide if I would mess it all up. So now I am not sure what to do. Would it be way silly to have a decorated bag with pics and stickers hanging out there on the fish???

I just don't get any better than this!

No get out of our way Gustav, Hannah, Ike and Josephine... And tell your friends to stay away too !!!

I gave up my blue beetle last September for a Mini van. :sad2: It was the first time I really did not want to get a new car but it was the practical thing to do. You will not have any trouble selling it. I actually got more for mine than I paid for it. Have you tried Craig's List.com?

Actually, I have listed it on Craig's List. No bites yet, but I am not too worried.

As for docs, I got mine for the Sept 25th cruise last week.

Once everyone gets thier docs, please check your room number and let me know if I need to change it on the FE game sheet.

Good Evening,
Since I have only been on one cruise, I am curious what kind of things you put on the door or bring as extras for the cruise? I should start getting organized as it is amazing how fast time goes, especially in September with school and programs starting now. I am unsure of what the whole fish extender is all about, again I am earning my ears so I am learning still. Thank you all and have a great Wednesday!:yay:

Good morning everyone - Happy Wednesday!

Holly - many DISers put up door signs on their doors. Three main reasons: 1) it is fun, 2) it makes it easier to find your room, and 3) it makes it easier for other DISers to find your room. You will find that most other cruisers don't put anything out on their doors. In 2005 DVC put special magnets on every door (the same welcome home lifesaver ones that you now get on a regular cruise) and in 2006 one of our gifts were DVC white boards (well more like a magnet you could write on).

In addition in 2005 on the first panama canal cruise one of the DISers bought gifts for her fellow DISers of a 5 pocket organizer decorated with Mickey. It was deemed a Fish Extender as it hung from the message fish outside the room. Other DIS groups started using them as well and we first used one for the 2005 Member Cruise. The groups then give each other little gifts in the fish extender overnight. Here's a picture of what ours looked like one morning on last years Member Cruise:

Robin is the one organizing the exchange on our cruise. The original exchange is closed but a few people have signed up after and for those that have extra gifts they'll be included.

Hope this helps.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

We're all going to have fun in the sun right? So don't forget the sunscreen! The sun is stronger down in the Keys and the Bahamas than it is where most of us live. On sea days it can be even stronger if you are out by the pool The cool breeze from the ship moving and the water makes you forget how strong the sun is.

Here's the tip - try the spray on sunscreens. Especially for the ladies and girls who get their hair braided. Put sunscreen in those rows or you'll be in for a very red, very painful experience! Remember that part of the scalp doesn't see the sun too often.

Don't forget other often over-looked places like your ears and the top of your feet. Protect yourself and you can have fun at play and not be in pain the next day!

Our guest room is now officially the Staging Area for our cruise! Our cats hate to see that. My cat, Rolo, sleeps in the duffel bags. :faint:

I'm feelin' you, Beastly!!! These storms have me a little nervous. I wonder if the Wonder (Pun intended) :rolleyes1 will be diverted again tomorrow.

I always forget to put sunscreen on my bald spot!:headache:

Me too. One shows day by day, our reservation numbers and what we are wearing, the second tab is our packing list including where it gets packed (since we have some pieces going on the cruise and some staying in the car) and the last is a to do list.

LOL! I have 1 tab with all our reservation info (hotel, cruise, transportation and dining), 1 with our packing list and the FE list, and 1 with our daily schedule (more for my mom while she's in WDW without us). 15 more days...15 more days...

Mickey HERE WE COME!
