What a long day! I am just finishing packing for us to head to Vero tomorrow. And it looks like Hanna might give us some trouble....cross your fingers for us!

Good news for me, I was able to switch my work shifts and get the Saturday before the cruise off work!!!! Looks like Steve and I should make the meet at BCV!!!!!

I will post more when I return from Vero!!!

I am counting down the days till we go, the weather is starting to get cold here in Cold Lake so I am looking forward to some warmer short weather again. My two girls are starting school tomorrow so I have been busy getting things ready for that. Time is going to go by really fast as we have kid activities starting and yard work to do and before we know it packing for the trip! I hope the weather is okay so that everything will go smoothly! I am looking forward to meeting new people and having a blast!

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday! Back to work for me!

Okay, I finished our door signs today. They are pretty basic, but they came out OK. I've also printed some castmember thank you cards (I found the templates for these somewhere on the DISboards, was it here?). I even have my pirate costume ready to go.

Ok, what am I forgetting?

As good a time as ever for me to post today's tip of the day. We've used these cards in the past.

Too organized for me. I am just hoping to get all my stuff printed off for the cruise and in the carry on luggage.

Guilty as charged. I'm a planner what can I say. I'm also a worry wart and fear that I will forget something so I make lots of lists and check them twice. I also want to make sure I know where everything is before we leave the house.

New Orleans caught a Lucky break, this time . Now what about the two hurricane's that are in the Bahamas . Lets all hope that Castaway Cay makes it with out any problems .

Mary, where should we all meet to get our pins that you spent soo much time on?

Anyone else staying at AKL before the cruise?

You can pick up your buttons at either of the scheduled DIS meets.
Saturday 9/20 at 3pm in the Solarium at the Beach Club
Sunday 9/21 at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge
If you miss both of those they will be delivered to the cabin number you gave us at some point in the cruise. Can't promise when.

It is a great game and as you said Tina all in fun. It is fun to see who is going to get the next one and also fun to see so many have been able to get them. What a fun bunch of pirates and pirate wannabe's. Thanks to Gary for organizing and keeping track of the pirates.

I've got two basic ones. Let me post small versions and if anyone wants one I can e-mail it to you as a word document (so you can add your own names etc.) Edited to add - see the next post.

Here are two generic signs I've done. If you would like either one as a word document just drop me an e-mail and I will do my best to get them out to you. You can then customize them to suit you and print them out. Please do not just post you want one here on the thread as I might miss it.

Suggestions: for the one above we put our DIS names and real names on either side of the DIS logo. We put our picture in the center of the life ring (where the lime green is now) and we put which Member Cruises we've been on above the DVC Member Cruise wording.

The one above we just printed out as is.


Hope these help. As I noted yesterday we have a couple of crazy weeks ahead so if I don't get to your request immediately please be patient. I'm going to set a cut-off of this Sunday 9/7 for requests. That gives me time after to finish up what I need for us and also gives you time to do your printing and customization.

Spent all day car shopping. We are going to trade in my beetle I hate to lose my baby, but it is far too little a car when your family includes a teenage boy that won't stop growing.

I gave up my blue beetle last September for a Mini van. It was the first time I really did not want to get a new car but it was the practical thing to do. You will not have any trouble selling it. I actually got more for mine than I paid for it. Have you tried Craig's List.com?

I have my signs, FE and have started packing. I think I may be able to get everything in three suit cases. I will be bouncing off the wall. Everyone have a great Tuesday!

I have decided to try to sell my car on my own. The best offer we got was for $5,000 less than I have seen the exact same car being sold.

What a cute car. I down sized after the kids started driving and boy do I miss my van- not the gas tank but all that room.

Me too. One shows day by day, our reservation numbers and what we are wearing, the second tab is our packing list including where it gets packed (since we have some pieces going on the cruise and some staying in the car) and the last is a to do list.
