I'm on the east edge of Somerset, right off of Route 27. Throw a rock across the street and it will land in North Brunswick. I work in Piscataway on Hoes La., so we all head for the hills when RU is playing at home, on a weekday. I actually drive across the campus to get to work. Hope Monday night is not what the rest of the season is going to look like. :scared:

Just because RU had one great year (two years ago) does not mean that will be that way every year, people just don't get it. Remember a few years ago, they did not win one game and for a while RU Football was joke of the "Big East". Any way don't me started @ 5:40 am about this.....

If anyone is flying on Jet Blue, you might want to check your flight on line. Over the past four days, Jet Blue has changed their prices. We were able to get a $70 credit for the same flights. :thumbsup2

Well off to work I go.... :surfweb: Have a great day, chat with all of you later

Sorry! Didn't mean to get you started! I grew up on Long Island and didn't go to Rutgers. But many of my co-workers did, so people get really into it. There is an 11 story building in our campus and they actually figured out how to light it up like a giant "R" !

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday!

Tina - sorry to hear about grandma having to cancel. When you find out for sure let me know and I'll adjust the button list for you.

Joanne - I think it is only concierge that gets the safari's at AKL. I know we were booked at AKL in concierge back in '04 just so we could do it. Then DVC came up with Member Homecoming and we changed our reservations to OKW.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Sure Castaway Cay is all about fun in the sun, but what if you want to get out of the sun for a little while?

Here's the tip. Head on over to Castaway Jo's (also known as the Grouper Pavilion). It is a covered game room full of family fun. Shuffleboard, foosball, billiards and ping-pong are all available. There is also a giant checkerboard.

This area at the far end of the family beach is often overlooked so is usually uncrowded. A nice way to get the family out of the sun for a little while.

We have a few celebrations - one of which I'm late with :guilty:

Happy Birthday Erin (LWQuestie) who had a birthday yesterday.

:bday:party::cake:party::bday:

Happy Birthday Chris (DH of Jennifer aka Eeyore77)

Good morning Dan - sounds like a fun weekend ahead. We always miss Chicago's Air and Water show because it is the same weekend we go up for Irish Fest in WI.

I'm sure we'll all have our documents by this time next week.

Looks like the 5 night cruise Linda is on is taking a mystery cruise due to Hanna. At least they made CC on the first day.

Hopefully all of these will blow through and we'll have clear sailing. :goodvibes

We are staying at AKL after the cruise. when will you be there? I was wondering if any one knew how to make reservations for the safari's from the hotel.

We looked into it and the special safari, while it looks cool, costs a couple hundred bucks each and is only done on certain days, which didn't work out for our schedule, and if I remember correctly, included dinner at Jiko. We are taking the meal plan, which you can't use as part of the Sunset Safari package.

We can't wait to stay at AK pre-cruise. We splurged for that Friday & Saturday & got a savannah view.

Good morning all,

Dan have fun at the air show. We love the Blue Angels. The are stationed here in Pensacola.

Thanks for the AKL tips. we have never stayed there before and are looking forward to it.

Lets hope Ike stays off the coast and doesn't damage the east coast either.

Happy Thursday all.

Did all my cruise shopping last night. Sunscreen and after sun lotion. We are all ready now!!!!!

Looks like we'll hit another pirate today and it is a big one. Who is going to get it? Will it be one of the front runners who will then take the lead or will it go to a newbie? Good luck everyone!

I just looked at the DCL site and the Wonder is supposed to leave port on a three day cruise on 9/24/08. Isn't that our second day at Castaway Cay?

That is actually the Disney Magic that is sailing that day. It is a special 3 day cruise because they estimated they would be finished with dry dock earlier than originally scheduled.

when should i freak out that i dont have my docs yet

Thank you, Oh great wise one!:worship: I've have much to learn from you, the DCL master.: :yoda: ;)

Not yet. We'll tell you when.:scared1:

Seriously, they should start showing up any time, but probably early next week.:rolleyes1

Check in online and you won't have to freak at all. At that point all you would need are luggage tags and you can get those from the porters at the port.

Don't worry - be happy - you are going on a Disney Cruise!:)
