09/21/08 SSMC08 S.S. Member Cruise 2008 - Part 2!

The only thing I am kind of bummed about is that the Magic is in dry dock. Last year we really enjoyed walking down and seeing the Magic leave. No one in my family had ever seen a cruise ship in person before and we just loved watching them leave - especially the Disney one.

I was hoping we could create some kind of pre-cruise tradition and do this again. Of course we can still watch the others go out, it just won't be the same without the Magic going by as well.

I don't know where Timika has been - it's tough having all this responsibility on my shoulders. I think I need a vacation!

Yes. $450 per person but it inculdes 2 days park admission. Al Roker and Dana Cowin emcee. Here is the information.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! So far, I am the only winner (2 time), since Mary only created The Imaginary Elizabeth Swan Pirate Enabler 99th Post Award this morning. I think there might be another winner tonight though

Annette and I are also doing the EE that night but i want to see the cooking competition during the days. We also plan to hit pleasure island on both Friday and Saturday night. The race party is over at midnight so i thought we could just hope on a bus and close the place down.

We are undecided right now if we want to go to PI. We have never been and it would be nice to see it before it leaves. But we will have the kids in the club and they don't stay open that late and at the cost per child, it can be a bit much.

So alas, I guess I will have to say goodbye to PI from afar.

Can't believe we are just a few days away now. Have seen nothing on the SS Member Cruise Merchandise for this year so emailed them and was told they know nothing of merchandise for this cruise yet how can that be with just a week away? Anyone heard anything different?

It's ok - I accidentally called her Dixie today. Say, we might have to 'dub' someone Dixie for the cruise so we can be Trixie, Pixie and Dixie.

The last two cruises they haven't shown us any of the merchandise ahead of time. Just when the shops opened. I preferred it as it was in 2005 where we could pre-order it and have us waiting for it. This way it seems some swarm in and buy tons and then others don't get anything.

Last year it was tee shirts, polo, pin and possibly a hoodie All with the member cruise information on it.
