to correct Terrie, She is acually sailing May 15 DCL 4 night,, I know were she is that week.. lol not March

Oops! That is correct. Sheesh at this rate I will need to join a 12 step for Disney addicts

We will help post bail with what little we have left...do you know if Germany accepts DVC points as currency? :goofy:

Danke schön

After 3 hours and killing three phone batteries, we booked our spot on the DVC Member Cruise 2011. We joined the boards tonight to get to know everyone.
We will be bunking in cabin 6088.
We are interested in the fish extenders and already thinking about ideas. If any veterans remember a few years ago, my Mom (Pauline M.) helped organize the extender activity and she loved it.
Time can't pass quickly enough!

Welcome aboard! Last member cruise Debbie aka luckymomoftwo was our FE master and she did a great job! Hint hint...Debbie I wrote that one really loud too :rotfl2:Actually I don't think anyone knows for sure if there will be fish hanging outside the stateroom doors on the new ship :confused3

If you want me to email you the one I did for this year let me know.

Even though Gary did not go on the 2009 member cruise, he was the pirate master for the 2009 SSMC. So, Terrie, if you want me to do it then let me know. I know how much fun you had earning the :bride:. Someone will just need to get the prize.

Marsha you rock!!!! If you really don't mind being the :bride: and pirate: master again for this thread I certainly wouldn't mind handing you the reigns. That way I won't have to worry about a guilty conscience when it comes to "singing bottles of rum on the wall" :rolleyes1 I'm pretty sure I can talk Wally into being in charge of handing out the prize to the winners.

We made it! Our first Member Cruise! I totally forgot to call this a.m. and remembered around noon. I didn't think we would be able to make it, but after redialing for 45 minutes and on hold for 1 hr and 45 minutes, we are in Cat 5A.
Can't wait!!:yay:

Congratulations! Wow you got lucky! Welcome aboard!

We will be joining you all for this adventure!!! Soooo excited!!!!

We were one of the lucky first few to get a spot. Started calling at 8am on the nose with the house phone and 2 cell phones. My DH got through after 3 tries on his cell phone to a live person and the rest was history! We were booked by about 8:20am! Thank God! I was so nervous!!! Even with that we got a category 8B on deck 9 and she was like they just put you in 9660 because they are going fast.

This is our first member cruise!! Can't wait!! Time to start the diet or I'll be the first one to get stuck in the aquaduck :lmao: :)

That is awesome. Congratulations and welcome aboard! Oh no the dreaded "d" word. Not looking forward to rabbit food for the next 11 months.

Retirement is overrated anyways
Guess we've succumbed to peer pressure :rolleyes1
B2B it is :woohoo:

Gotcha! Congrats on your 40th Anniversary - have a wonderful trip in Nov. That is one of my favorite times of year in WDW. I love the Wine & Food Festival. A few years ago we had a big family trip of 18 of us, to celebrate DH's 20th trip in 20 years. It was great fun!

Yay! SO glad you guys are going too! Oh boy very tempting, we will be there twice for F&W but we leave on the 17th :guilty: No, that's not crazy...it's practical! You got better incentives on the ship!

Terrie aka Enabler :)

Ok, it's done! Just booked the 3 day before the SSMC. We are going for a B2B :banana::banana: Got the same stateroom too so we don't need to pack :cool1:

We can't have you feeling guilty now can we. Plus, I know you will have some competition with Sue (susieq55) being on this thread. The two of you will be fierce competitors. :lmao: And, if you throw Ian & Debbie in the mix everyone better watch out.

Hi Everybody,

We just got confirmed too. My DH and I have sailed on one other member cruise with our kids back in 2005 but have done the Med in 2007 and just did the Northern Baltics this year. Carol Ann, I believe you and Crissup were on our Med cruise mid-July 2007.

We most definitely were with you on the Med in 2007! What a fantastic cruise that one was! Remember heading home, running through the Barcelona Airport? LOL!

Happy to be sailing with you again next year! Welcome Aboard! :cheer2:

here we are on the New Years' Eve Cruise 2008/2009 W/Caribbran

Welcome aboard! You're in for a fantastic time!

We were not as fortunate in getting booked today. I called for 8 hours before finally getting through at 4pm. My CM was very nice and he felt terrible having to tell me that the cruise sold out during our conversation. Yes we were the first folks to be told the ship was full. He got us wait listed for all the catagories we wanted and did a great job in convincing us we would get a cabin from the wait list. We have been DVC/OKW members since February 1992 and we will be celebrating along with DVC. I hope we get booked early enough to be an active participant in this thread. I will add the member cruise logo to my signature with pride as soon as we get booked. Until then we will enjoy the thread while waiting to join you folks.:upsidedow

Sorry you had to waitlist, but I understand there is an excellent chance for waitlist coming through for those who got on yesterday. I will cross my fingers for you.

Thanks so much for posting this! Wish you were joining us this year...

"While the AquaDuck won’t have a weight limit (i.e. if you & that 2-person raft can actually fit inside of a 52-inch acrylic tube, you’re then good to go) – there will be a height restriction placed on the Disney Dream water coaster. And if you’re under 48 inches, you’ll then be turned away and encouraged to try out that Mickey-themed water slide down on Deck 11"

-taken from a website I can't reference because I dont have enough posts on the disboards yet

That is great news! I am even more excited now! Thanks! :-)

That's strange you were told at 4:00 pm that the cruise was sold out. I didn't get my call answered after being on hold until 5:15. The CM came on and told me it just sold out but that she was in the queue to be answered with DCL so she was holding on. She came back and told me that we got the last cabin (don't know how many people they told that to), in 4A, cabin 10092. I hope your WL comes through.

Hello, Wife and I are in 6076, been on 4 other Disney cruises, but this will be our first member cruise and we are excited to get the booking first thing when the lines opened at 8am.

 Hi neighbor! :goodvibes This will be our eighth & ninth cruise (doing B2B) and our third member cruise. We did the very first one in 2003 and then we finally did one again this year.

Just had to say, now dear hubby is checking costs,,,, this could get ugly...

:yay::yay::yay: Oh, it's already ugly...we're doing two Disney vacations next year...I REALLY need to work a lot at my second job now!

Okay the 3 of us really work well together, the husband don't quite know what hits them ... lol

:thumbsup2

Ohhhh, more B2Bers! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Come on! All the cool kids are doing it. ;)

OOOHHHH!!! I see how YOU are! A troublemaker!!! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
