Has anyone used the early bird check in with southwest? I'm using it for the first time this Saturday and have no idea how it works. Do I still go online 24 hours in advance to print my boarding passes?

Supposedly you do not need to, but I find the number seems to be higher when I check in then when I do not. I always pay the extra because I like to be near the front of the plane vs back.

you can/should do both
