Thank you all so so so very much for all of the kind words and thoughts today! Your support through all of these months has really meant a lot to me and our whole family. My wish is for everyone who has someone serving our Nation to have the peace I have tonight - knowing that our loved ones are safe. God Bless them all until they are ALL home again - and safe!

Thank you all, again, from the bottom of my heart!

Amen to that and savor the moment. Thank God for all those that serve like your son!
God Bless America!

So what does everyone think? Would you like to meet up poolside at Animal Kingdom Lodge or maybe Downtown Disney. Perhaps we could find a middle ground and just plop ourselves down there. Maybe even hit the Boardwalk? I am open to all ideas so let the brainstorming begin! :headache:[/QUOTE]

I like the Boardwalk idea, lots to do there.

Crazy night here in Chicagoland! We had severe lightening storms that turned into tornado warnings for much of the night. The winds whipped thru up to 80 mph! My house was really shaking. John was downstairs working on his servers, so once the tornado sirens started screeching, I grabbed the puppy and ran down there, too. It has subsided now, but many are without power (not us phew). My DD works in the city at a hospital and they had to move all patients into the halls. Then they lost power, and now they are still shut down, but getting patients settled again. yikes! Glad we did not have this horrid weather last weekend for the meet!

I know, it was crazy! :scared1: My family and I were at the Joliet Slammers baseball game downtown and they called everyone off the field and down below the field/utilidoors/halls. It was scary. Everything seems to be alright in Shorewood. Parts of Joliet were without power though and trees were down all over, as we were driving home. Hope everyone is safe.

So glad you got home ok! We have not ventured out, so tomorrow mornings commute should be interesting. I, too, hope everyone is ok...

Oh, and I saw pix on the news of folks jammed into the lower tunnels at O'Hare. Definitely NOT fun...

We're okay out here in the midst of the cornfields. Not too much drama, just some lightning and thunder with a smattering of rain. We didn't get hit by lightning again. :goodvibes

Boardwalk sounds good. Christa and I have made our before reservation yet. But we r using my AmEx points not DVC points but we can still stay at boardwalk beach or swan dolphin

Oh goody! Come on over to New York and get organizing. We are the city that never sleeps so that should help you out with scheduling issues.

We already got a huge momma of a Disney Store for you and there are a few good shows if you know where to look. I think there are a couple of decent restaurants around town.

Some say that you can find some entertainment here, I don't see where they could find it but good luck.

Wooohooo New York!

Good to hear from Carol, Dan and Kelly. We did have a bad storm last night. Our sirens went off 4x in an hours time. We lost our power around 8:30 and still don't have it back yet at 8am. We have 2 generators going, hopefully we will be restored quickly. We are lucky no damage in the 75 MPH winds:scared1:
Take care everyone.

Hmm feels like FL, it is 3:00, brief down poor, followed by rain and sun, followed by sun? Who knew.

I just love a good day off of work don't you!!!!!!

Yes I do...especially 72 of them in a row!!:rotfl2: Although, technically, now that I think of it...I guess I am not actually "employed" since I don't get paid for the summer. Oh well, still fun!! Hope you are all hanging in there over in Indiana. Did you get the storms or did it go north of you??
