Not a real happy one I'm afraid - but I will try to make the best of it!

Once upon a time, there was a very happy DVCer and she had a happy little family. She booked a wonderful vacation and started to chat with lots of new friends. She made many new friends who always sent good wishes for her son in Afghanistan (who will be coming home for good on June 20th - yippee!! :worship:). She met a nice man named Ian who made her cute Deernuts for Christmas. And she really liked lurking around for :bride: and pirate: .
Then one day, her prince of a husband came to her and said, "sorry but I don't want to be married to you anymore, after 16 years - I need a change" !! Well, the happy DVCer became very sad and cried and cried some more. Finally, she decided she had to snap herself out of it, and become happy again for her sweet son Dustin and her older two boys, too. They are the best things in her life, so she better pull herself together! :)
So the happy DVCer is really trying to be happy again - and with the help of all of her new friends, I'm sure she will get there very soon!!
The End - or should I say, my new beginning!

Sue - so sorry to hear that you're going through such a rough time. I'm glad you're in better spirits now and back on the DISboards. I watched my mom go through a very bad period of depression when her and my step dad got divorced....I was really worried about her, but she pulled out of it and is really happy again. I know your happy days will come again soon. (Like in September when you get to hang out with all of us on a beautiful ship!)

Anyone have any suggestions for window coverings in the house of a cat who likes to climb curtains and dash through the mini blinds?

There's this stuff called "Bitter Apple" that you can buy at the pet supply stores. You could spray some of that on the curtains and see if it keeps the cat away from them. OR keep a spray bottle nearby and squirt the cat every time he/she climbs onto the curtains. Other than that, I don't have a clue!

How about suggestions on how to get your kids to do chores without you pestering them?

When you figure that one out, please let me know!

The bark collar has done wonders for the puppy who wouldn't stop barking and whining. He's a very quiet dog now.

We have a friend that uses that...they swear by it, too!

Do they make a Curtains Collar for Cats? :confused3

:lmao:

We have a squirt bottle with water in it and he just glares at us when we squirt him now. He's become immune. :confused3 I'll have to try the bitter apple.

And the MacBook is almost out of juice too. Better do this fast!
