We hope to make it too! We'll be two adults and one child. We're in Hyde Park, so it will be a bit of a hike, but we love going out to Schaumburg. This is SOOOOOOO exciting!!

Hi Everyone! Kelly, Marty and I should be able to make the Feb 26th meet. Thank you for organizing this. Someone was asking about an iPad. I did receive one for Christmas and I love it. But for work that I do for home, I use my laptop. Much easier to manage. I used my iTouch daily before and my husband felt the iPad was easier on my eyes. Nice husband:)

Hold the phone!!!!!!!

What Disney Visa Offer??? Are you talking about the one where you spend over $3000 and then get triple bonus points?? What do you mean with 1% or 3% back??? This sounds interesting, please continue.

Kelly

I think the offer we got was spending over $300/month for three times the rewards. I can't put my hands on the post card at the moment. Normally rewards are 1% of what you spend and triple would be 3%, I think ... Last time we did one of their promotions we got back a lot more than I was expecting. :confused3

The 26th sounds great. I wonder if they could give a discount coupon for a percentage off at the Disney store too. I was thinking that Rainforest Cafe would be a good place to eat. Just my 2 cents;)

Sounds good to us, unless we are in the UK taking care of the new twins. Thanks for all your work, Kelly! :worship:

Hello all, I need answers to a few questions before I can book my airline.
We want to fly the day of the cruise to orlando but we are afraid that Disney cruiseline will fall behind and we will not arrive to after lunch or later down at Cape canaveral. We like to be there early. like 10-11am. rather be in port then have to be late.
Last year I had a cruise with RC in port canaveral. we flew the day before and got a shuttle to a hotel. stayed the night and got a shuttle the next morning at 10am.
What I am asking is if anybody flew the day of cruise and can I trust Disney cruiseline to get us down there as soon as we get off the plane. Do the cruiseline make you wait till the bus is full to leave the airport?
Any info will be greatly appriciated.

OK...spoke with Doorway to Dreams today. A date that most likely will work for them is Saturday, February 26th. Derek, my guy,:thumbsup2 said we could/should come in early, before the doors open to the public, so we can get some quality/uninterrupted time. They open at 10AM so Derek said around 8-8:30AM.....I chose 8:30AM. Basically, here is how it would work...

*Breakfast "refreshements" will be served
*Freebies will be given away
*Play games/trivia with prizes
*Presentation (not a sales pitch, however he will let us know of incentives)
*Videos might be shown
*Pin Trading
*Tour the store and models of BLT
*Kids Club is provided for those who want to bring children....must be potty-trained though. (Sorry, Lilly)

I told Derek that we are all DVC Members going on this year's cruise so he said he would make it "cruise-themed" and a lot of fun. I told him any "inside" information or video/pics he could give us about the Dream would be awesome!! He also wants me to ask you all if there is anything you would like to see or do while there. Any suggestions for activities or anything??? Let me know. I thought we could all go to the Disney Store afterward and then out to lunch.....if interested.

The exact date is not set in stone, but I just wanted to update you. Please let me know, if you haven't already, if you will be attending. As I need to give them a number. Thanks!!!!:wizard:

This sounds wonderful. I'll talk to DH this evening to make sure the date works for us. Thanks Kelly.

Hello everyone. Sorry I have not been on as much lately. Things at work have blown up and gotten very busy since we are now getting two new transmission programs in Kokomo. I'm now glad that I didn't take the buyout a year and a half ago now.

The other problem I have is my laptop blew up and I had to completely rebuild it. As soon as that is complete I will get the newly designed website up with all the changes I have been working on.

Debbie, Shawn and I will more than likely try to come up for the meet at doorway to dreams and eating at rainforest sounds like a great idea. I think that date will work for us as well.

Hope everyone is doing ok, I'm going to go back and try to read through what I've been missing.

Have a great weekend!

Ack! Look out it's an epidemic! I only paid $400 for this laptop and I'm not sure it's worth trying to repair (it's out of warranty, of course).

Talked to Jason last night and convinced him I should get my MacBook and the add on at OKW.:banana::banana: Talked with my guide today, she had to put me on a wait list for the points I want, but it sounds like I'm at the top of the list for my use year. Guess I'll hope that something comes along really soon. Anyone have any experience with add on wait listings?

Hi! :wave2: And Welcome :yay:
From what I have read @ Disney Cruise Line and DISboards, as long as you booked through Disney Magical Express, you are practically guraranteed that you will get on the ship. They will probably wait for other passengers from other flights, timewise, I believe they arrive at port in the afternoon. I would call DCL.Here's some info from the DCL website:
Upon landing at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and proceed directly to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center located on Side B, Level 1 - Ground Transportation level. Disney will collect your luggage and deliver it to your stateroom.
For specifics on time, here's DCL's phone#
For more information, please call (800) 951-3532
We booked our flight 2 days out because we're flying in from the west coast, renting a car, wanted to explore the area and didn't want to rush.
Good luck :goodvibes

I never heard of wait listings to add points. Not something that I would have ever thought about. :rolleyes1

If you desire to purchase points for a particular Use Year at a sold out resort, (direct thru Disney) you may have to wait list. Once DVC obtains what you are seeking, thru ROFR usually, then they call you so you can complete your purchase.

This is used for some of the popular sold out resorts such as VWL or BCV. :)

Sounds wonderful! And speaking of who else is there, I did manage to find a picture of our last meeting with other member cruise people (Click on image for larger size for easier viewing.)That is me, Sue, Jim, Lilly, and Kelly outside of Cosmic Rays.

Don't forget about Blizzard Beach! Too bad the Osborne Dancing Christmas lights aren't still up. They made snow for that too. I will see if I can post a pic of that later tonight. ;)
Well, it took a while longer than I anticipated, but here it is. Go ahead and click on the image to see it better. Not much snow, but definitely frozen water stuff falling from the sky!

I would hate to have to post 20 more mutterings to myself...
