For those of you who contacted me regarding my dilemma with regards to my flights for the cruise in september. Here is what has happened since I last posted. I have had 2 computers crash, the wireless in the house go out twice as well as the cable. Cable got fixed, have to replace the airport extreme from apple, have already bought a new computer (thank god I have carbonite as a backup), had a credit card compromised, booked the flights for september. The flights are: leaving Milwaukee on the 17th at 7:30am, staying at the Hyatt (airport), have the disney transfers on the 18th, on the 22nd, take disney transfers to Boardwalk where i reserved a studio for 10points, flying home on the 23 at 12noon. I have also found out that the Hyatt stay certificate that I had for the night before was not the the one that Hyatt takes so reserved a room anyway. Found out that I can use the Hyatt stay certificate in March when I have to go to Indiana. As for the flights there was only 1 direct flight and multiple flights with connections. Also the freezer in my fridge went out, and I am hoping that is it!

Also for those that asked I live 30 min north of Milwaukee and about 10-15 min from Lake Michigan.

But I have everything booked. :woohoo::yay:

And hooray

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

DVC must have felt my wrath a'comin! I woke up this morning, sat down with my bagel and cup of coffee to check email and finish waking up and found an email from them in my inbox. Everything looks right now!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

So, we have a 2 BR at OKW from 9/6 - 9/14 and then Country Inn and Suites booked on 9/14 - 9/15. Then on to the Dream 9/15 - 9/22

Now I just need to book my airfare and then book at Universal for two nights at the beginning of the trip and two nights somewhere (probably the Poly) for two nights after the SSMC. It's all coming together! :laughing:

"I love it when a plan [eventually] comes together!"

Karen, sounds like you're getting all your duck in one row. Great!

Jennifer, did you have a lightening strike or some other power outage?
Sounds like you got a good deal at Boardwalk ... At least I think it's good ... I try to worry about money as little as possible, so I don't really know what a studio costs, in points.
Where are you going to visit in Indiana? I won't be there then, but just curious.

Slowly, but surely! I think I got my ADRs mostly figured out today. I have the days, now I just have to decide on times. There are a few that are giving me fits because the park(s) close(s) at 7pm. Do we do break and do dinner and not go back to the park. Or do we just tough it out as long as we can and plan a late dinner after 7:30 sometime? Decisions, decisions!

If it were us, we'd probably opt for the late dinner, and have an early snack if necessary. To complicate matters, since you're staying onsite there will be Magic Hours at one park each night. I don't think you know which park has Magic Hours until you get there ... might be wrong though.

For those of you who have not sent me a PM with your information, please do soI need to turn in the final count for our February 26th DISMEET no later than Wednesday. We will be meeting between 8:15-8:30am at Woodfield. In your PM, send the names of people attending, including children. If you feel comfortable, give me your phone number as well. Doorway uses it to verify your DVC status/eligibility. See everyone in a week. Can't wait!!

You can look on Walt Disney World Resort website and they will have the calendar of events/park hours on there. The hours include EMH, which is cool. That helps us plan our meals. We like to eat late.

Disney publishes the extra hours online along with the schedule of shows, park hours, etc.

Personally, for the 14th I think you should schedule dinner for the T-Rex Cafe in downtown disney. That is just my opinion though... :rolleyes1

Cool, thanks Kelly and Andy ... May actually develop a plan of attack for our next visit. I used to plan vacations like Chevy Chase in Vacation(s). Then I went to no plan at all, on a motorcycle trip, wherever the weather takes us. Lately I've been using the "let my wife plan it, because I'll do it wrong anyway" strategy. Of the three, the latter works best, but I'm willing to help her along the way, if I am armed with extra info.

We'll be in Port Canaveral by dinner time. I'm thinking about that pizza place that I've heard mentioned or FishLips. Any reviews?

I think we'll go with the later dinner. No worries on the EMHs. September hours are already out and I know which parks to avoid. :thumbsup2

Darn! I arrive on the 14th and thought maybe we could have caught up for dinner LOL. Once I know when I will get there I will touch base and see if maybe our paths will cross.

So, what types of "extras" are you thinking of for the cruise?

I'm considering:

  1. Rainforest Passes
  2. A Spa Villa for Two
  3. Remy
  4. A Cabana on CC
If money were no object I'd do them all! But, sadly that is not the case. :rotfl:

My boys were sad when they heard that there were no free milkshakes on the Dream. So, I'm bringing my Magic Bullet Blender and they can make their own with the free ice cream, chocolate syrup and milk. :thumbsup2

I did mention that I was going to try packing light, right? :confused3
