I haven't seen a count lately but I believe that you are way ahead on the :bride: and pirate: tally!

I have to go back and read some of the ssmc10 thread. Was it like this one? I didn't think it was moving very fast when I would drop in from time to time. Were there alot of people posting there?

Last year's thread was NOTHING like this one. It took us approx. 9 months to get the first thread closed. This (1st) thread hasn't even been going for two weeks and it's already being close to closed. But this is just a bunch of silly posts to get to the next :bride: & pirate: Last years thread actually had content in most of the posts!

I was just thinking, I normally a serviceman's meal for him when I can. So have your son cone on the Dream and I will buy him dinner!:)

That's a really nice thing to do! I'd love to have him join us but our cabin is full! I'll let him know you were thinking of him! thanks :)

It reminds me once when I was having lunch with a friend at our local Crackerbarrel restaurant. Just after we sat down, a woman and someone who I at the time assumed was her elderly father came in and sat near us. He had a jacket on that was embroidered with the logo and such of the Guard of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We've been there many times, especially with our scout troop. So I quietly asked the waiter if he would give me the bill for their meal and I would take care of it. As we both finished up, the woman realized what I had done and came over to say thank you and that I had really touched her father. She asked me to come over to their table because he wanted to say thank you. I did, and we had a brief chat, and I thanked him for his service to what I think is a wonderful tribute to all who have served. It was a day I will never forget!

So again, thank you, Junior, for your kind thoughts - it really does make a difference!

I'm assuming it will settled down into something like that - hopefully . . . :rotfl:
