Do you carry the pizza bag to the door with you or leave it in the car and just take the pizza up to them?
Then had to fill your gas tank up...
We only deliver 3 mile radius and we are a small town.
Everyone knows everyone here...
Will pizza deliveries pick up because school has started. Less time to cook and stuff?
Nope. We don't have enough bags.Do you carry the pizza bag to the door with you or leave it in the car and just take the pizza up to them?
I have been in Pizza for 25 years. I have learned that if you carry the bag to the door and they see the steam when you pull the pizza out you will get better tips...
I will say that the Pizza industry is not happy to see the kids go back to school...They drink a lot of milk which makes our cheese prices increase until school gets out next summer...Supply and Demand I guess...

I've been delivering on the side for several companies for over 20 years and I don't believe that to be true. Some companies used bags, others used a stainless steel box with racks to hold several pizzas with Sterno cans to keep em HOT! The customer is either a cheap @ss or not! It has a little to do with appearance and friendliness but mostly people know what they are gonna tip before I get there. Very few times do I persuade them to give more by my neat friendly service.
And I personally don't use a bag at all. I'm THAT good.
Not to sound too conceded but yes I am the best driver at any place I have ever worked at.
Wow in 12 threads I think this is the first time we have had a pizza discussion. I am enjoying learning about it. I already enjoy eating it![]()
The ones I love are when the kids are sent to pay you and you know they have tip money for you from the parents and they stick it in their own pocket without the parents knowing...
The schools here all use pizza nights as fund raisers usually one night a week with some proceeds going to the school. The schools tips the pizza guy who delivers the pizza to the school and the parents pick up the pizza at the school.
We do a 3 days fundraiser with our schools and donate 15% off all proceeds back to the schools. We mostly have dine in and take out for those events.
Tip your driver $4 for average wait. Tip them more and they will remember where you live and make sure yours is there as fast they can that night.
