Today is 1st day of school for us. :teacher: Snacks, lunch boxes packed, pictures taken, two bus stops (elementary and middle) & a cup of Joe!!! Now it's down to just me & the dog. :thumbsup2 think I'll work on pirate costumes.

School starting already? WOWZERS! Our schools don't start until the end of the month ...

At least now you get some peace and quiet around the house! :thumbsup2

Wow, school already! Dustin doesn't go back until after Labor Day. Then he's in school for a full week and then I'm taking him out for a week for the Cruise! YAY!

Starts here August 22. It always amazes me how much the start of school affects the traffic here. It will be a mess in a couple of weeks:scared1:

I know it sounds early, but we got out May 24th. May 25th we were on a plane headed to Universal.

Ok so I simply gotta share my excitement because ONLY my DISpeeps will understand :goodvibes This morning I finally made and got the LAST reservation I'd been waiting on to complete all the ressies for our upcoming December trip. I booked everything I had planned exactly 180 days out except for the Wild Africa Trek which doesn't open 180 days out like most things but rather anywhere from 30-90 days. Apparently depending on the whims of the peeps involved the date you want to book may or may not be open yet :headache: Therefore, I've been making periodic random calls for months now to see if they opened the booking window popcorn::

There are 6 of us going, including my parents and my DB who has not been on a vacation or trip with the family for well over 10 years. Why you might ask, well that's easy, he'd been married to an evil succubus for all that time and finally decided that the torture and suffereing should come to an end. Thank goodness for that. With that said, I wanted this trip to be something uber special for my family and therefore, it is my Christmas gift to them and to myself :santa:

Last January after our third add-on :rolleyes1 we booked a 3 bdrm grand villa at AKV in Jambo house. It will be the first time we are staying in a GV too :yay: I picked Jambo because it has a pool table and growing up, my brother and were "park rats" for years and used to spend after school time at the local community center in the park shooting pool waiting for my mom to pick us up after she got off work. We are checking in on December 9th and checking out on December 17th. Here is the itinerary:

Dec 9, will have done online check in so first stop is the GF and into The Gardenview Tea Room at 2:30 for lunch. They have the BEST English Trifle and I love their Princess Breakfast Tea. After that we will head back to the resort and get setteled in, maybe do some resort exploring. For dinner we will be going to Hoop-Dee-Doo review at 8:30. Picked the late show so we could get the TIW discount :thumbsup2

Dec 10, Head to Ft. Wildernes for our Back Trails Segway Adventure at 11:30, late lunch at Sanaa, Dinner at Fulton's followed by late Cirque Du Soleil show La Nouba.

Dec 11, Go to Gaylord Palm to experience their Ice display in the morning. Then in the afternoon, Wanyama Safari which includes dinner at Jiko. Afterwards, head to DHS for the Osbourne Family festival of lights.

Dec 12, Wild Africa Trek, later dinner at California Grill, timed so that we can see Wishes while we are there.

Dec 13, Keys To the Kingdon at 9am, later go to DHS for Fantasmic and dinner at 50's Prim Time Cafe

Dec 14, Around the World on A Segway at Epcot at 9:30, then head to The Land for our Behind The Seeds Tour. Early dinner at Whispering Canyon followed by MVMCP :santa:

Dec 15, sleep in after late night, some resort hopping to check out Christmas displays and find hidden Mickeys :cool1: Dinner at Flying Fish followed by Illuminations Cruise and then off to Jellyrolls.

Dec 16, sleep in after getting hammered at Jellyrolls :lmao: chillax and dinner is at Victoria & ALbert's in The Queen's Room :woohoo:

Dec 17, Procrastinate heading back to reality

OMG Terrie! That sounds like a trip of a lifetime! I hope you and the family have a really super time!! You have taken so much time for the planning and I hope it's everything you want it to be! Have fun, most of all!

Oh well, it's Thursday! Which means it a "go take care of mom, go do her food shopping and clean a little, then to work at the shop from 2 to 5" day - so I guess I better go get out of my pj's and get presentable (and yes, that is possible on most days)!

Be back later - everyone have a great day! :cool1:

And you have a great day too, Sue:wave:

Waited too late to get Remy or Palo reservations - is on-board reservations possible/probable?

Celebrating 40 years of "happily ever after" on the Dream.

It's always worth a shot to try (you never know if someone will cancel, etc). Good luck :thumbsup2

" ... he'd been married to an evil succubus ..."

Did he marry my ex wife? :confused3 :confused3 :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I've been pretty busy all day! Work, school registration, picked up Pooh's ashes, mowed the lawn, swung by mom's for a bit, ran an errand for Deb, went on a bike ride with the kids and watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes! I never really like those movies but this one is VERY good. Highly recommend it!:thumbsup2 I thought for sure when I jumped on we would be close to 3000. You guys are slackin tonight!:sad2:

Look at you busy little bee. You are are such a good house wife running errands :lmao:
