HERE I AM!! Had to work last nite-but I am catching up on all the new posts-yeah!!
Rhonda here is my input on the early or late dinner seating. We had late for our 04 cruise and LOVED it. It was much more relaxed, no rushing to get ready. there is always food available as well as room service that me made sure we ate a late lunch and if that didn't work, we would order the all ahnds on deck platter from room service before dinner to munch on.
that brings me to my next thing..since I am the unofficial list keeper of this cruise-how about we start listing cabin numbers and seating times so I can start adding that info to our list. of course if you'd rather not, that's fine too!

we are in 6060 late seating-same cabin as our 04 cruise!

Amanda-thanks for the HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes! :goodvibes:

You are welcome! Right now we have 5022/5024 yes ladies that's right the SPH! BUT if the whole family does not go ( which I alked about early) than that will change.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARCY!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hope you have a wonderful day Darcy!

We will be in rooms 7504 and 7506 for the cruise. Right now we have early seating but I started talking with dh last night and we may end up switching to late as we get closer to the cruise.

Enjoy your day everyone (especially Darcy) and I'll check in later!

We have SPH rooms as well........5522 and 5524! Happy B-day Darcy. Sorry I am not active here. We are getting very fired up about our cruise this September, so while I lurk here I usually don't post. My little brain can only handle one thing at a time :earboy2: .

Have a great day all,

Woo-Hoo ... let's get to know eachother

We are Karen :earsgirl: and Dave :earsboy: We will be staying in Room 7000, right up next to the crew quarters, guaranteed to be nice and quiet.

Since we are traveling without children (at least that's the plan for now) for the first time, we are going to love the privacy of the dead-end corridor.

We have been in the middle (and loved being close to the main elevators for a great central location) :cheer2: and mid-back (loved being close to the buffet and pool and quick trips to the drinks station) :drinking1 so far, always with a verandah in the family cabins, since we are a family of 5.

This time we are going for a (much cheaper) :earboy2: oceanview since my hubby and I can easily walk to 4, 9 or 10 and since we foresee the relaxing fun of nighttime cabarets and adult pool, we are excited to try the front. Looks like we will be neighbors Rhonda!!

We had late seating for our first cruise ... a 4-day on the Wonder to celebrate our oldest daughters end of chemo treatment (she had leukemia, but is now doing very well). We found we had to rush back from our excursions and did not make most of the photo stops and overall, that is definitely not my favorite. We had late seating for the 14-day. We loved it!! We usually hit Pluto's for chicken fingers between 3:30-4:30 (okay maybe again around 5:00!!) ... we love those chicken fingers :p We had plenty of time to enjoy the empty pools and relax at the shows. We usually got dressed right after the shows and played the nighttime bingo ... we won $600!! :cool1: But we spent $625!! :rotfl2: We would hit the picture lines (on formal night, captain night, etc.) about 6:05pm and could just walk right up as everyone else had just rushed into early seating. Late worked out great for us. The kids ordered everything as soon as they looked over the menu and then went up to the room or to the clubs when they were finished, leaving hubby and me to have a quiet dessert on our own. :love2: Our kids are DD-12, DD-11 and DS-9, we did not see many little ones at late seating, but there were only 315 kids (under 18) onboard for the 14-day, :earseek: instead of the usual 850-1050, so we never saw many little ones!!

Have a great Tuesday!! :Pinkbounc

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes!!!! My day has been great thanks!
Missy I figured you were lurking about-Jake and I were just talking about you guys and how you are getting ready for your cruise and how fast the year has gone by! WE are praying for nice weather for you! Hope our weather 8/13-8/19 for UO, IOA and DC will be Hurricane free. My parents are moving to Florida (Palm Coast) at the end of July!
Thanks to all who have added their room numbers-I have been updating the list and will email it out as the cruise gets closer!
well off to my Birthday Dinner. My DD (Jenna) said to me as I was fretting about turning 38, "Mom, you aren't old, Lauren's (her friend) mom is turning 39, Now THAT'S OLD!!!" Out of the mouths of babes! :rotfl2:

Wow, I haven't read this board since May. I should be spanked, but since we're not planning a "real" Disney vacation (just DVC Hilton Head and gasp a Royal Caribbean cruise for dh and I) I never make it over here. :sad2:

Dzneprincess: you asked months ago about the adoption. Think of it this way: we have to deal with four levels of government here in the US (one city, two states (NY and and Pennsylvania) and the federal immigration service plus the government in China-- so it's a big mess! We're a little farther along, and we're praying to have the baby by the cruise, and that my husband won't be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan (he's still on the call up be ready to go in 72 hour list) until the adoption is done. It takes longer than being pregnant, and friends of ours who adopted here in the States (which we can't afford, unfortunately) waited over two years for their daughter.

BTW has anyone sailed on RCI's smaller ships? We're sailing the the Sovereign of the Seas out of Port Canaveral-- thankfully it leaves on a day when the Wonder won't be in port so I won't cry when I realize I'm not on the GOOD SHIP. If anyone's sailed the Sovereign-- is it okay? I know it won't be Disney, but it's just dh and I-- taking our one and only childless vacation.

Will try to stop by more often now that school is done and we're waiting for the visits with the social worker.
Julie

Well howdy stranger! :daisy: Good to see you posting again and yes I think I will punish you for not visiting the boards enough:duck: HOpe to see you here more often and keep us updates on the baby sitch!:flower3:

Hi Julie - it is good to have you joining our posting group. Post when you can and we'll try to get the party going for whenever you decide to drop in! Good luck with your adoption - I hope things go better and quicker than expected and that we can all meet your new little one on the cruise.

Hey Karen - can't believe we are going to be such close "neighbors" on the cruise. Too cool - hope we don't make too much noise for you with our rugrats :flower:

Thank you everyone for your input on late vs. early dining. I will keep working on dh and maybe we can get it changed before we sail. As we get closer, let's see if anyone is interested in linking our dining reservations so that our tables can be close together; we did that on my last cruise and it was really nice to be able to easily catch up with everyone as we were coming and going to dinner.

Have a great evening everyone - talk to you tomorrow!

Hey Rhonda

You might even get a free babysitter out of me once I start missing my little ones. :)

Karen - you are too funny! I imagine you will be missing your kids during the cruise but taking on mine, well that is really funny :rotfl: They are pretty good kids but they will be 6 and 3 and they are certainly a couple of handfuls at times. Hopefully they will be so entertained in the kids clubs that they will be blissfully happy and calm the rest of the time (okay so that is wishful thinking but I like to think positive!).

Not much going on around here today so I don't have much to post about. Guess I'll have to go get in some trouble so I have exciting things to say :cool1:

Have a great day everyone!

Wow I have missed so many pages! Thank goodness school is done for the summer. It's so nice to read for pleasure and not for homework! Hope everyone is doing well. I don't know about anyone else but I REALLLLLYYYYY want then next 15 months to go by fast!

Rhonda,

Thanks for the re-welcome and pixie dust. We were scheduled for late dining, and we were so happy about it! We thought the kids would be old enough at 12 and 8, but then with a new little one, we went back to main. I'd love to do late dining, because there's no rushing back from excursions to get ready and all that nonsense we've done on the last two cruises.
