What time is everyone getting to the port? I am leaving from POP Century in our rental car, so I heard they open the gates at 10:00am, I plan on being there!! I am trying to get everything together. My DD's 5th bday is 9/12- so we are having cake and punch for her bday on 9/8, she wanted a pirate party(small party- only family- of course that's about 25 people), she is such a Diva! Anyway, I am so ready to pack!!. I can't wait to see everyone. Is anyone going to do the Galley Tour, and I also wanted to do the Disney's art of Entertaining.

It will be nice to meet with others who appreciate Disney as much as we do. Our co-workers, friends and some of our family actually look at us like we're nuts.

I am sure we will get to the port between 10 and 11. My Aunt and Uncle live about 30 minute from PC, so we will go to their house and get them so that they can jut keep our car at their house. Worked wel last year, and can't complain about not paying to park.

I got all excited this morning, the door bell rang and I looked out and there was a flat package on the doorstep. But it was from Fed Ex, but I still got all excited. Unfortunately it was only Mortgage documents. Maybe the next package will be the one I am anxiously awaiting.

Dont worry, most of our family and friends think we are nuts too!!! Oh well, their loss...Disney is wonderful and our lives are so much better with Disney a part of it!

I am organizing a meet at the Cove Cafe for those of us who love a quiet place to slip away to and have a drink...coffee or other Should be a great place to talk and meet up if we haven't already!
It is set up for 9am on Monday. Please pm me if you plan to join us.

I found my formal...it was an awful experience to be honest. I mean, I love the dress, but I could not find anything that fit my body type...short, large on top and smaller on the bottom....shopping was more fun before two babies jumped me up from my size 6! Oh well...I just need to really focus for the next 3 weeks so I can fit into it, and my wedding dress for that matter!

We are starting to organize our stuff....got Ryan's bday party this weekend and then full force cruise organization!!

Cannot wait!

Most of my family and friends can't understand why I vacation 2-3 times a year at Disney...Dont you want to go somewhere new? I tell them no way...I Love Disney!!! So you're not the only one with family and friends who thinks their nuts!!! Join our group! I just called a Perfect Gift and ordered baskets for the girls. It was a lot of fun deciding what to put in them. I have a few things I need to mail them to include too. The girls will be so excited and surprised when they see them.

Now I really need to get working on my door signs, I have been waiting for inspiration to strike, and it hasn't yet. But I am running out of time waiting. LOL

Lori, what kinds of things did you have put in your baskets? I am debating between 1) ordering a basket or 2) just giving DD money to spend on the ship plus an arcade card. She also brings her own money (sometimes more than me!). We've gotten her the Disney kid's basket before, so we don't need to do that.

nikkistevej, we are also planning to get to port around 10 via our rental car, and staying at ASMo - can't wait to get into that Disney "magic" before the "Magic". We requested a 101 Dalmations room for dd.

Proof that all things are for a reason: Because we are flying into Tampa/St. Pete due to the great flight we got, we are also flying out of there. Well, guess where the Rams are playing the Sunday after we disembark - Tampa! This will give us the opportunity to see them beat the Buc's on their own home turf. Now, I need to pack Rams clothes too! I think we really might be sending a box down early to the ship.

You know, the good thing about meeting people here on the Disboards, is you know that you are no more "nuts" than anyone else here. You have to be nuts to spend your time checking the DisBoards 20 times a day, making fish extenders, planning DisMeets, and packing a month in advance! So we can all share our "nuttiness" (is that a word?) with each other!

We are also planning to get there around 10am. We are staying at Orange Lake Country Club for 3 nights before the cruise. I'm thinking if we leave by 9am, we should be there around 10am.

Last year we were in a suite, so we got a #1 boarding pass. LOVED IT!

I also ordered gift baskets from Perfect Gift- my DD's 5th bday is the week before- so I got some bday stuff in hers, it is a Pirate and Princess theme- she got a sand pail, pirate tatoos(sp?), she loves swedish fish- they said they would put them in, a plush Pirate Minnie, they said some bday balloons too, and other stuff. We got my DN a smaller one, just pirate, with some cute stuff as well. I know they will love them!!

Kamy - Could we all make the meet at Cove Cafe a bit earlier if it is Monday? Say 8:15 or 8:30? Is that too early? We have our Rasul booked for 9:30 that morning (got to start the day off right!). I think I was supposed to get back to you about this earlier, and didn't.

I am also interested in doing Disney's Art of Entertaining.

Everyone please don't forget the (only) tequila/margarita tasting is Monday afternoon at 4, assuming old navigators hold true.

Welcome RetroJulie! You've come to the right place with all us Disney freaks! This will be my 2nd DCL where the first was a 3-night also. DBF and I are very much looking forward to those 2 at-sea days!

JNorris--The Promenade Lounge sounds like a good place for a meet. I'm up for it. What time do you think? 3ish? I just don't know yet what time we are getting to port because we are taking the DCL trans from CBR. I hope we aren't that late!

We have a 730 at Chef Mickey's then we will be driving to the port right after - I am assuming we will get there around 930/1000. I will be dropping the hubby and daughter off then I will turn the car into Budget.

I actually went with the pink mesh bags for the beach, I am sending my own autograph books, goggles and probably a magazine. They are putting puzzles, cups, pirate tattoos, lipgloss, flip flop bling coloring book and crayons, a lai and hair clips, I think that was what we decided on. She said if it looks like it needs more she will call me. I know they were also doing dome popcorn.

I just spoke to DCL, they said they will be mailing out docs later this week, 3 day UPS. I was a little nervous about not receiving mine before we leave on the 9th for WDW. But I think they will come before we go.

Good morning! Cannot wait to get my docs...makes it so REAL!!

I have to share since most of you know I have been trying so hard to lose weight in time for the trip....this weekend was awful shopping for the cruise...I was so discouraged and how I looked and how things fit (or should I say, didnt fit!). But this morning I got a little boost...I weighed in and lost 3lbs!!! I am so shocked and happy!!
I cannot reach my initial goal by cruise time, but figure I should lose at least another 5 lbs, which would put me at 45lbs lost....so I need to start being happy and proud of myself and not focus so much on what I didnt do...
okay there, had to share that with my DIS friends

Back to cruising....can we go now?!?!?!
