Wow, I would not want to be worrying about whether or not my passport would get here on time!

That reminds me of a funny story: We took a 3 night Wonder cruise March 2006, as a surprise for DD and her 2 cousins. We got to the port to check-in, and the CM asked for our ID's. Now, remember, this is not our first cruise; we know the drill. My DH handed the woman his driver's license, and she said, OK, I either need your passport or your birth certificate also. He says, I don't have either of those! If I had not been in such a state of disbelief, I would have smacked him right there! He knows better! And he didn't forget; he had sent in his old passport to get his renewed, and had not received it yet. He doesn't carry a copy of his birth certificate (says he's never carried one).

I'm in a panic, thinking that the whole big surprise had been for nothing, and we would have 3 devastated children on our hands. Luckily, the woman said DH could sign a form basically promising that he was an American citizen, and gave him a copy of it, and we were allowed to board. But I was still worried about getting him back through customs when we got back. But we made it through OK.

We have two birth certificate stories. The first one was on our honeymoon! My husband showed up at the airport with the hospital certificate saying he was born not his birth certificate. Luckly we were only going to Jamaica so they brought in a notary that said he was a us citizen. The second was 3 years ago Jamiaca again. This time he had his original birth certificate with the water mark on it. Can you believe they would not except it? It had to have a raised seal. They did not let him board the plane as rules have changed. He had to come down the next day. He now has a passport so no more birth certificate issues.

Also, everyone knows that you don't need a passport for this cruise.

Hi nacho1337 - I guess I should be bowing for the thread originator! Hope everything is going well for you all. How exciting that you all are going back to back!

:hourglass counting down the days

I went to Party City last night to buy more High School Musical party things. We are having a HSM party at our house tonight. The girls have friends coming over and we are going to watch the premiere of High School Musical 2. Well, guess what?!?!? The store has their Halloween costumes out now!
Any of you that are looking for pirate outfits for pirate night, you should go to Party City. There is lots of pirate stuff. I got DDs their fishnet hose there last night. There are great pirate hats, swords, boot tops, etc.

Oh Lisa, I just realized that I haven't given you our picture yet for the roster. I have one that I can give you. I don't know how to send it by PM. Can I email it to you?

Cool, I was planning on heading to Party City tomorrow to look for pirate costumes for the girls. We have an HSM2 Party to go to tonight too.;)

I am thinking we should start seeing the documents soon.

O.k. I think we have talked some of this before. We have one formal night and one semi-formal night? And which nights are they? I am ready to start pulling clothes out. I have to see if I need new dresses. I lost 10 lbs and 2 sizes and I don't know if my dresses will fit.

According to the most recent Eastern navigators on Barb's site (from back in January), formal night is Sunday, and semi-formal is Thursday.

Just finished with the online check in for the family. Correct me if I am wrong here but I "think" all I need to print out was the contract signature form, the financial responsibility form and the emergency contact/passport one (basically the forms that prints out at the very end after filling everything out) - That sound right?

I think you need to print every form out or they make you fill it out at the port (which mean less time on the boat) I would better be safe then sorry and print them all out.

4 weeks and counting!!!!!!!!!!!     :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2:

That is fantastic losing two dress sizes!! :thumbsup2 I feel I have been really working out hard, but have not lost ANYTHING. I suppose it is all muscle now? :rotfl2: Also went swimsuit shopping today - no luck! I will try again next week I suppose.

Our TA told us they would call me when the cruise docs came in, as I am going to pick them up. They are close and dh still doesn't know about the REAS package yet.

I did not do it by myself. I hired a personal trainer. I worked out with her once a week and then she typed up the workout. I would meet with her on Friday and then do the work out on Monday and Wednesday with cardio on Tuesday and Thursday. I did this for 3 months and could feel the toning but not see it so I started to diet and dieted for 3 months and got to my goal. I have gone up and down a little but I am only two pounds over my original goal. I want to be back at my original goal by the cruise.

Just loosing the 10 lbs was a lot of work and I am always so proud of people who make and reach big goals.
