Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

So what does everyone have planned for the weekend?

I'm getting together with some girlfriends from work for part 1 of 2 of scrapbooking. We have 3 of us who scrapbook and 2 who have never done it but want to. The plan is to get together tomorrow to share our books and get ideas from each other. Then we are going to go shopping at a few stores and stop for lunch. That's part 1! Part 2 is next weekend we'll get together at one girls house, bring all our "toys" and spend the day scrapbooking. Should be fun.

That sounds like a great weekend! I need to find me some girlfriends who like to scrapbook. I've bought all this cute scrapbooking stuff over the years and never once did anything with it. I was cleaning my office out yesterday and couldn't believe how much "stuff" I had!

Mary,

The only thing we are doing this weekend is going by my cousin's house tomorrow. DS is going back to school to see some friends tonight and will be back on Sunday.

Have a great weekend and enjoy.:cool1:

Have fun at your cousin's house!

So, lots of running with the kiddo's this weekend.

Sunday will, hopefully, be a relaxing day at home. Since the arctic cold is to be starting again today, I'm not looking forward to all the running.

Have a great weekend! :flower3:

I sure do understand about running those kids around. I'll be doing my fair share of that this weekend too! I hope you get to enjoy your relaxing Sunday!

ES (Elizabeth Swan)Update!!! Parley!!!:bride:

KellyJeanDVC got the 2399th post and therefore earns another ES!!!:thumbsup2

Yeah me!!! :cool1:

Thanks for keeping track of all of this. I never notice those post numbers. I don't know how you manage to stay on top of it!

Happy Friday and happy weekend. Makayla is coming over for a sleepover this weekend. HOORAY. It will be a 2am bedtime with popcorn, marshmallows and hot chocolate and movies. Gotta love those grandchildren!

Blessings,
Susan

Have fun with the sleepover! It sounds like a good time will be had by all!

For me this weekend:

I am finishing up cleaning out my office today, which is no small task!

Tonight I take both the kids to ballroom class, then take Cory and a friend to a school dance (his first boy/girl dance!) Then its back to the dance studio to pick up Courtney from competition rehearsals. Cory's dance gets over around 9:00pm, so I should be home shortly after that.

Saturday Courtney has more rehearsals. Afterwards a friend is coming over for a little eBay lesson from me. She needs to learn how to list some things she's trying to get rid of.

Sunday is church and then going to my Mom's house to help her pack. She is moving up north in about a week. It'll be a big change not to have her around.

Somewhere in there I need to get laundry done and get to the grocery store. I suppose I better stop reading these boards!

Stop reading the boards?? Is that possible? :rotfl:

BTW, KellyJean, I just noticed you're also going to be on the WBTA; so are we!

My weekend will consist of babysitting my DGD 8mos (which I do every week from Thurs-Sat.) and making dinner for our local firefighters on Sunday (as part of our auxiliary). I hope it doesn't get too cold for everyone out there, especially all of you northern folks.

Mary that sounds like fun.

I am thinking about trying Blurb.com this weekend. One of the managers at work showed me 2 books that his wife made for their vacations. Apparently, they have software that you download to your computer and then you add your photos and text to it. Once you are ready, they make a book for you that can either be hardcover or softcover. I am thinking about trying it to create books of my photos from my Italy (2005) and Yellowstone (2007) vacations.

Mary - sounds like a fun weekend for you. I wish I could get back in to scrapping. Maybe someday.

As for us, well tonight is busy. Brooke has a basketball game and then she has to play in the pep band for the high school games. Becca also will be playing in the pep band and then she has her dress rehearsal for her show choir performance that is tomorrow. Also, the music boosters are having a lasagna supper fund raiser tonight. I had to make a pan of lasagna for it and have to have it at school by 5:30. Tomorrow Becca has a large group speech competition in the morning and then her show choir competition in the afternoon. So, lots of running with the kiddo's this weekend.

Sunday will, hopefully, be a relaxing day at home. Since the arctic cold is to be starting again today, I'm not looking forward to all the running.

Have a great weekend! :flower3:

Chris,

Hope the fun raiser goes good. Also, the choir competition. Hope yu find time for rest.

SCRAPBOOKING...would you believe I thought that during my recuperation I would work on my scrapbooking....and I finally started yesterday...got 7 pages done. I have been off for over 2 months and I just didn't have the energy to do anything....now I have to go back to work in Feb and I have lost all my intended scrapbooking time. If it weren't so cold outside, I would go out and get some more "stuff". I have so many pages with prints on them, and I realized I need more plain paper. I got about 40 Jolee Disney products for $30 on ebay, but there is so much that I get overwhelmed!

One of my friends has been in WDW this past week...I feel so bad for her. It has been FREEZING there. But better freezing in WDW than here in PA!

Happy Friday and happy weekend. Makayla is coming over for a sleepover this weekend. HOORAY. It will be a 2am bedtime with popcorn, marshmallows and hot chocolate and movies. Gotta love those grandchildren!

Blessings,
Susan

Susan,
Don't feel bad about not getting it done. I just did mine from 2004 while I was off. So I did 2004, 2006 and 2008. But at least I got them done.

Sounds like you are going to have a great weekend with the grandchildren.

Have fun.

Sounds like you are going to have a great looking office once done.

Sounds like you are going to have a busy weekend to. Try and find time for rest. Yah right.

First off let me say thank you for all the good wishes and prayers. I need them more than ever now as I have heard back from the doctor and it is cancer. Now it is wait to hear from my regular doctor and get the plan in place for staging, surgery, etc.

We love you Mary....truly. :) And we'll be praying for you.

My daughter submitted this photo of my granddaughter Makayla we took in WDW, along with some others of her in dance leotards to a costume catalog looking for models. She was called today and Makayla was selected!!! YEA! It will also be on the internet. Isn't that just too cute. Makayla will be so excited...she just turned 4. This is her updated photo...the one of her in my signature was taken when she was almost 3.

Dear Mary,
I just want you to know I have been praying for you. If I can be of any help to you as far as information what to expect etc, please feel free to email me.
I have been an RN for over 40 years, and I am an ostomy specialist. I do the pre op education for our patients who are having surgery, with or without an ostomy expectation. With early detection, ostomies are not done as often anymore, and if they are, they are often temporary until the bowel heals.
As far as ostomies, there is so much fear and misinformation....things are not like they used to be, and there is so much available. My heart goes out to you. I have had a ruptured bowel and resection done when I was only 22.
What you are facing isn't easy, but God is with you, and everything is in His hands. I will pray for your surgical team, also. Blessings to you, Mary, and just know that I am thinking of you.
Susan

We will also keep you in our prayers, Mary, and hope you recover ASAP. Please know that we are thinking about you and we are here if you need to vent, talk, or whatever.

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday.

Thank you all so much for your outpouring of kindness and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.

Susan - your Granddaughter is adorable. Thanks too for the offer. I'm going to drop you a pm.

Have a great day everyone!

Mary, I am so sorry for the news that nobody wants to hear. Just know that I am thinking of you and your family and saying an extra prayer for you.

Morning!;)

Happy Saturday!;)

It is back to the deep freeze here. I want some of this:beach: on castaway.

Mary,

Have fun with your scrapbooking friends today.
