Well, if you remember, my sister decided that she would come with me on the trip. She really hasn't mentioned it much since. But when I was talking to her this morning about our summer vacation (we (sandi & I) are taking her son and maybe one of his friends to California on vacation), she mentioned it again so that she could put in for vacation. She also mentioned that she was really looking forward to it. So wow, I guess this means that she really is going. :cheer2: :cheer2: (This sister has been known to change her mind/plans from time to time. :rolleyes1 )

Now we are even talking about maybe spending a couple of days somewhere else in Florida after the cruise. My first thought was St. Augustine but it will be interesting to see what we end up doing.

I guess I should actually add her to the reservation. :rotfl2:

Mary, I am glad you made it through the proceedure, I am sure someone is looking out for you. Many pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for you.

I'm back!

The good news is the exam is over and it really wasn't bad at all. OK the prep was nasty but the exam wasn't.

The bad news...they found a tumor. We won't know until sometime next week if it is cancerous or not. Either way I will most likely have to have surgery to remove it. So any extra prayers or pixie dust you can send would be appreciated.

PD and prayers from our house to yours. Thank heavens you had the procedure! You know we're all rooting for you :grouphug: .

Susan, that's an amazing story about your daughter. What determination! And I love the pics of your DGC; there's nothing in the world like grandkids :sunny:  .

My grandchildren are what keep me going. They are my gifts from God. One of my daughters, the one below in the photos was addicted to crack and she was missing for over a year. It is a long story, and DH and I walked the streets of Phila looking for her...it was prayer that kept her alive and brought her home to us. She is now drug free for 3 years, and is married with the darling little Cameron below. While we were going through our living torment, Makayla was born. She kept us going and lifted our spirits when we thought we just couldn't go on one more day. God has been so good to us.

Mary, you are not a downer. There are so so many folks who have tumors or polyps. Have to just take one day at a time. Wait for the full pathology report and then make a decision based on that information. Prayer is powerful. We are here to support one another. After my ordeal with my youngest daughter, I had an email from a woman on these boards who had gone through something similar with her daughter. We have been corresponding for a year now and plan to meet in May in WDW. She has been such a good friend through her emails to me. So, don't be afraid to share your burdens.

Blessings to all...and pixie dustpixiedust: coming your way
Susan

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday! Once again thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers. The waiting is going to be hard but I know with all of you thinking of me it will help. I'm ready for whatever God has in store for me. :grouphug:

Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

So what does everyone have planned for the weekend?

I'm getting together with some girlfriends from work for part 1 of 2 of scrapbooking. We have 3 of us who scrapbook and 2 who have never done it but want to. The plan is to get together tomorrow to share our books and get ideas from each other. Then we are going to go shopping at a few stores and stop for lunch. That's part 1! Part 2 is next weekend we'll get together at one girls house, bring all our "toys" and spend the day scrapbooking. Should be fun.

Mary,

That sounds like such a fun day. And a fun 3 weekends. It will be great to look at the other books and get ideas.

I found a bag in my basement and started to go through it and found more things for my scrapbook from 2008 so I have to put them in there.

I do have a question for you. Were by the scrapbooking things would I find (I think they are colled) extenders. I can not put another page in my book without that.

The only thing we are doing this weekend is going by my cousin's house tomorrow. DS is going back to school to see some friends tonight and will be back on Sunday.

Have a great weekend and enjoy.:cool1:

Flo do you have scrapbooks that have the metal posts in them? If so when you but the refill packs (of sheet protectors) they should include the extenders.

A friend of mine told me about something different she uses and since my scrapbooks tend to get pretty big I've been using that. I honestly can't remember the name of it but it is basically zip ties that hold the pages in place and have anchors that go in the front and back of the book. I need a few more so when I find them this weekend I'll post the name of them.

Update - found a picture on the web.

I've been able to get them at Michael's.

Mary,

Thanks for researching this for me so early in the morning. Now I may have to go to Michaels this weekend to get them.

I never made it last weekend.

Will let you know if I can find them out at my Michaels. I may look at Hobby Lobby to since that is right around the corner from me.

Mary - sounds like a fun weekend for you. I wish I could get back in to scrapping. Maybe someday.

As for us, well tonight is busy. Brooke has a basketball game and then she has to play in the pep band for the high school games. Becca also will be playing in the pep band and then she has her dress rehearsal for her show choir performance that is tomorrow. Also, the music boosters are having a lasagna supper fund raiser tonight. I had to make a pan of lasagna for it and have to have it at school by 5:30. Tomorrow Becca has a large group speech competition in the morning and then her show choir competition in the afternoon. So, lots of running with the kiddo's this weekend.

Sunday will, hopefully, be a relaxing day at home. Since the arctic cold is to be starting again today, I'm not looking forward to all the running.

Have a great weekend! :flower3:

I dont' think I understand this, oh well,

SCRAPBOOKING...would you believe I thought that during my recuperation I would work on my scrapbooking....and I finally started yesterday...got 7 pages done. I have been off for over 2 months and I just didn't have the energy to do anything....now I have to go back to work in Feb and I have lost all my intended scrapbooking time. If it weren't so cold outside, I would go out and get some more "stuff". I have so many pages with prints on them, and I realized I need more plain paper. I got about 40 Jolee Disney products for $30 on ebay, but there is so much that I get overwhelmed!

One of my friends has been in WDW this past week...I feel so bad for her. It has been FREEZING there. But better freezing in WDW than here in PA!

Happy Friday and happy weekend. Makayla is coming over for a sleepover this weekend. HOORAY. It will be a 2am bedtime with popcorn, marshmallows and hot chocolate and movies. Gotta love those grandchildren!

Blessings,
Susan

This is from the first post and explains it a bit. It is just a little game we play based on the post number (which can be found in the upper right hand corner of the post.

Pirates and Swans:

Pirate postings - on the last Member cruise thread Gary OKWMember came up with the pirate game where each 100th post got a pirate (and later we added each 99th post got an Elizabeth Swan). We even gave prizes away at the onboard DIS meet. Gary has volunteered to be Pirate Master again even though he isn't sailing with us. We'll have a prize for the DISer with the most pirates and the most swans at the onboard DIS meet.
