Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

The good news - it is warming up here in Chicagoland.

The bad news - we had an ice storm over night and the roads are all being closed due to so many accidents.

What a crazy weather cycle we are in.

Mary,

I agree with you it is good with you that it is warming up. But now they are saying that are flood warnings. Because by tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 50’s. The snow will start to melt. This has got to be one of the craziest winters in IL in a long time.

This morning with the ice my DH said on the way to work 290 was completely shut down on one side because of truck across all lanes. It is crazy out there.

Be careful any one that has this crazy weather.

Just came in from doing some clean up outside. Made sure the front walk was cleared of all the ice, dug out the downspouts on the house and we also cleared the sewer opening that is in front of our house. All in anticipation of temperatures in the 40's and even 50's for tomorrow. They are saying flood warnings are being issued because of all the snow down.

Mark wasn't feeling well yesterday and was up a lot during the night so he called in sick this morning. He was able to help me with the above and now we are both just chilling in the house.

Hope all had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. We sure did. We all got more than we expected. I was just happy to spend the day together. Our youngest DD told us she had been awake since 3:00 am on Christmas morning. She didn't wake us up till after 6:00 am. I remember those days of being so excited. We finally started opening presents around 6:30 or so. We had to wait for the oldest DD to get up, which the youngest made get up. After presents and watching the Disney parade, we headed over to my sister's house for the rest of the day. We had a ham dinner with all of our regular sides. It was a nice day.

Both me and Bobby took the day off today and spent a lazy day hanging around the house. Him and the girls played with the Wii and playstation games that were received and I spent the day trying to figure out my digital photo frame that my sister got me. I love that.

We only need to return one item this year and that is a pair of jeans I got Brooke. I got her two pairs, both the same size, and one pair fit and one pair didn't. Go figure.

That is pretty much a recap of our holiday. How about yours?

Here is hoping that Mary and Flo are safe over in Illinois. Watching the news tonight it looked horrible out there this morning. I have a cousin who lives out there and she and her little girl were going to come home today. I hope they made it! I know our temps were in the 50's today So a lot of our snow melted away. Yeah!!! But with that, we are under a dense fog advisory until 1:00 am. But, hey, I'll be sleeping so it doesn't matter to me.

Chris sounds like you had a great Christmas!

It is 49 degrees at 5 am here and pouring rain so I'm thinking most of our snow will go away as well. Crazy weather.

I've really enjoyed my week off and head back to work on Monday. I do get next Wednesday and Thursday off which is nice. Hard to believe the year is almost over.

It is supposed to be 65 today in IL. It is raining and thundering (witch is strange in December). I think all the snow will be gone (like Mary said). Then tomorrow it is supposed to be 35 and windy. Should be fun. Since we never maid it to my moms on Christmas Eve we are going there tomorrow. The wind and the express way is going to be fun.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Can't believe next week is new years! Were has the time gone. But that also means that we are into "2009" and the cruise is closser and I get to meet everyone.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you the awesome present that I got from my niece and nephew. If you remember, I took them to WDW for Veteran's Day weekend. Well, they made me an awesome scrapbook of the trip! According to my sister, they picked out the photos and each one wrote 1/2 of the text. It was so cool!

This sure is crazy weather! I have the weather bug on my computer. it just gave me an alert that we are under a tornado watch! At the end of December. That is no suposed to be till spring.

Very crazy weather. We took advantage of the higher temperatures to bring in all the outside decorations. We also brought all the storage tubs down so the tree and inside decorations will come down tomorrow.

Today we were out most of the day. I went and picked up the pictures that I had printed at Wolf camera. They are from my June 2008 Cruise. Now I can start my scrapbook. I am happy. I do need a few more pictures but I can get started.
I want to get this done so I can show my DH family in February. We were with them on Christmas day and they want to take a cruise. I want to show them all the fun we had. I also have one done from my cruise in 2006.

Mary, we were going to take are down today but that did not happen. My DH and DS are cleaning out a closet in the basement to put some boxes in that are sitting in the basement. We got my DH a workout bench and he needs to put it up. Since my tree is real we will leave it up till at least Thursday garbage is on Friday. We used to leave up to Three Kings in January, but with the puppy I want to take it down. He wants to go under it and I don’t want him to drink the water.

Supposed to reach 62 degrees today ... The 14 inches of snow we got last week is almost all gone.

...Bruce
