Remember last winter dec was really bad and jan and feb where not as bad and beside I am going to boardwalk in feb for some relaxation and fun

I hope you are right. I'd love it if this was the worst we got and then the rest of winter was easier. Have fun at the Boardwalk. I'd love to be going there!

Ok Did my running around already. Went got gas for the snow blower (am going to need it), went to the Italian backery and got cookies for Christmas and then went to Jewel and got the rest of the things I needed for the holidays.

I will tell you one thing driving out there is no fun! We were slipping and sliding. Any one that is out in this weather any were be carefull.

Flo - I hear you! Yuck! Snow stopped so I went out to clear the snow. First time using the snow blower. It is usually Mark's job but since he's at work and I'm here I gave it a go. I'm considering that my exercise for the day. At least the snow wasn't the heavy wet stuff but there is enough of it down that I can see how it is making driving a chore. Now I'm in the house, going to make another cup of Christmas tea and enjoy General Hospital.

Well so much for cleaning up that snow. It started up about 4 and is getting heavier. Snow snow go away and don't come back another day.

Here is the new addition to are family. He is 8 weeks old. He is going to be a big boy. They said about 150lbs. This is my DS Christmas Presnet to himself.

Wow! He is sooooo cute!!!!


On snow, I'm with the rest of you. Enough snow already! Actually, the pile of plowed snow in front of my condo is already as tall as it usually is in Feb or March.

I am with you. I thought it stopped and surprise we had to do the drive again. We have a long one. But at least the snow was not heavy. My DH did it the first time then I just got back in from doing it.
But if it has to be done again, it is going to be DS. He is not home right
now he is at his Christmas party.

Hi! Just got done watching Home for the Holidays with Faith Hill, god I love her, and what a great show. It was in such good Holiday spirit.

In case I can't get on tomorrow, due to working and going to my DH's sisters after work I would like to say the following:

I think they said on the news last night that some 300 or more flights were canceled and with flights today being booked solid many of those people won't get out until Christmas day. Very sad.

My heart was breaking yesterday when I saw on the new many people stranded while trying to get to family and friends for Christmas. I think they said on the news last night that some 300 or more flights were canceled and with flights today being booked solid many of those people won't get out until Christmas day. Very sad.

Since I know many of you have plans with family and friends both tonight and tomorrow let me give you my holiday wishes now.

My brother was one of them. He was supposed to fly out of ORD (he was at the world) early yesterday. He did not get back here till 10:00 last night. He is luck he got out. Glad he made it home for my mom.

So, who is traveling today?

I will be heading down to my sister's house in CT in a couple of hours. I put all of ther presents in a few bags already this morning. So all I need to do is get the veggie platter and cake out of the refrigerator before I leave plus maybe find the 2 pins that I bought for my niece and nephew during my trip this month.

My plan is to go to my sister's house today (about 1.5 hours drive) and then on my way home drop my mother off at her place. (My sister is picking her up) I am not looking forward to that part.... wheelchair+car+rain+snow=yuck! After dropping Mom off, I will drive back home. Then tomorrow I will head down to my uncle's house for the afternoon. (also about a 90 minute drive)


So if you are traveling, please have a safe trip!

Started out to my mom's this morning and the roads out here were bad. I called her and said mom sorry but we are not coming. We were slipping and sliding. That is with an SUV and all weel drive. I told her we would see her Saturday. It was comming down bad. We had to do the drive again.

Oh well.
