as of 1:30 Eastern 3, 6, 7, and 8 are sold out.

We love the aft of the ship. It is our favorite spot.

We've never sailed on deck 5 but we have friends who have and loved it. They said the halls were very quiet.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like a great idea. We will have to get together for lunch.

Just got off with MS. On hold 1 hour 23 minute, and then about 30 minutes on hold with them while they were trying to get through to the CL....I wanted deck 5...only thing left was cat 11 and so I took it room 5633. She said almost the entire ship is sold out....the web site doesn't really reflect that.
This is our 3rd Disney cruise, our first member cruise. Can't wait.

As of 2:25 Eastern

Cat 3 - sold out
Cat 4 - available
Cat 5 - sold out
Cat 6 - sold out
Cat 7 - sold out
Cat 8 - sold out
Cat 9 - available
Cat 10 - limited
Cat 11 - limited
Cat 12 - available

I'm a little surprised. I really thought the lower priced categories would be the first to go.

Website is still say 1 hour 40 minutes hold time. :scared1:

Spent 1:00 - 2:30 on hold, made my request, went back on hold - at which point my "Magic Jack" phone disconnected. Starting over - wonder how they "interpret" disconnects - as "I don't want it anymore" - or "I want is deparately, please call me!"

Stay tuned....

Cruises, all cruise lines, typically sell out from the top down. The most expensive rooms are almost always the first to go with the cheapest hanging on to the end.

Hi Everyone,

Just booked the Member cruise it will be myself(Sean-32 at time of cruise), and my Dw Linda-33 at time of cruise. Looking forward to cruising with all of you

Bummer, I had that fear that I would be disconnected because I was falling asleep waiting to talk to a CM, but was lucky enough to get my reservation through.
Good Luck

What category do they put the DVC staff in?

Turns out, they interpret a disconnect as "Please call me!!"

Pickings (room options) were slim (no surprise there, expected in this "strategy"), but at least we are in. Deck 1. Oh, well.

Changing my strategy next year back to dialing at first opportunity!

Wow, what a long day it has been so far. Well after waiting 3 hours to get through, 1 hour being on hold and then being disconnect due to a dead battery on my phone, then another 1 hour 40 minutes to be hold again and 20 minutes to book the reservation we are all set. Reserved cat. 4 because 5 & 6 were all sold out. DH has to have his verandah. We are in Stateroom 8512. It will be myself, DH and DD (almost 13 by the time we sail).

as of 3:00 ET

Cat 12: LIMITED AVAILABLE
Cat 11: LIMITED AVAILABLE
Cat 10: SOLD OUT
Cat 9: AVAILABLE
Cat 8: SOLD OUT
Cat 7: SOLD OUT
Cat 6: SOLD OUT
Cat 5: SOLD OUT
Cat 4: AVAILABLE
Cat 3: SOLD OUT

Hope everyone got what they wanted

What category do they put the DVC staff in?

It depends - I think they put them in a wide variety of categories. I know a number of years ago they had some of them in a cat 3 but it was more for a space issue as they were using that room as kind of a command central and also for merchandise. This was the year DVC was selling the merchandise themselves and not in the DCL stores.

Congrats to everyone on booking! Now I hope you will all stay and participate in the thread. This is a great place to get questions answered if you are new to the Member Cruises or just to get to know your fellow cruisers whether this is your first cruise or your 20th.

I can tell you that through these cruise meet threads I've met some wonderful people who I know will be life long friends.

Now that the DIS group website is done I hope DVC updates theirs soon. :rolleyes1

Looks like we are going to be neighbors! :wave2: Annmarie

. I think we will drive in the day before and even if we fly I am going to make reservations at the port. If we drive we could leave are car there and then take the shuttle. I was looking at the rates and they are not bad. If I am correct when I checked the web site before it was 139.00 for the room and parking at the radisson.

How is everyone else coming in? I know it is still early but I am so excited. ;)
It is going to be a long 10 months plus but we have each other to get through it.

We're probably coming in the day before and staying at a DVC resort. After the cruise, we're going back to WDW for 2 nights before heading over to the port to get on the Magic 9/19 for a Western Caribbean cruise.

We'll be driving down as we have the past several Member Cruises. We'll leave home on Thursday and get into WDW sometime on Friday. We'll have Fri/Sat to do WDW, do the pre-cruise DIS meet on Saturday and then head over to the port early Sunday morning. After the cruise we'll spend a few more days at WDW then head home on Saturday.
