09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Chris-That shopping mall is 30 minutes from us. We recieved 15 inches of rain in the month of March!!!:scared1: Crazy amounts of flooding!

That's a little close. Hope all that rain is not affecting your house. Nothing worse than water in the basement! It has not affected your water plant has it? That happened here in Iowa in 1993 when we had alot of flooding. Took the water works out down in Des Moines. I remember because that was the year the oldest DD was born. No water. So, I hope that doesn't happen out your way.

Chris-They are not looking good, we will probably end up canceling..:(
Tanya's Mom was going to watch the girls, but she has been pretty sick and doesn't think she will be well enough to do it. I haven't officially cancelled, but I have all the info of what it would cost us to cancel now. There is no real penalties until the 90 day mark, so I will leave the reservation as is for now. We were really looking forward to it, but I understand and hope her Mom gets better.

Oh, Dave, it would be a shame if you had to cancel. We hope things improve for Tanya's mom.

Thanks Joanne!

Glad you got back on.:woohoo:

Did you ever find out what was wrong?

Hi Everyone.

I never did find out why I was having problems; I'm just glad to be back.

The last week has been busy here. A dear friend's father passed away and she's been staying w/us (he's from here, she lives in Colorado) to arrange services, etc. I'll be sad to see her leave, though.

Hope everyone is well. Have a lovely Easter!

Joanne - We are glad you are back to.

Sorry about your friend's dad. I am sure you will be sad to see her leave because you don't get to see her.

Good Morning fellow cruisers

Happy Easter

Going to have brunch with DS DGD and fiance on a little while then taking mom to casino...That what she wanted to do today! :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a great day!

Happy Easter Everybody!!!!

Hope everybody has had an enjoyable day. We aren't having our dinner until about 5:30 becuz my niece has to work until 5:00 today. But we have had an enjoyable day so far.

Bob has been working on getting the pool filled back up and all the filters ready for the upcoming swim season. We can't wait for it. We love the summer time here in Iowa. I just hope it is better than last year. We had a pretty cool summer last year and thank goodness we have a pool heater or we wouldn't have used the pool that much. Which is sad when we can't use it. In fact, last 4th of July we all had long pants and coats on because it was so cool. And it was drizzly! So, we hope we are in for a better summer this year!

Again, Happy Easter!

Good Morning everyone! :goodvibes

Hope this finds everyone safe, healthy, and happy!

Take care! :flower3:

Good Morning my good friends and fellow cruisers!

A very Happy and belated Easter to everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. The weather here was beautiful for a change - the last few Easter days have been rainy and chilly. It was in the 70's and sunny, so it was very nice.

Sorry I have been MIA. Things around here are really crazy at the moment. I had a little scare with my annual mammogram which gave me a few more gray hairs - notice I said more! But the Lord was smiling that day when I had to go back for more tests and an ultrasound - so happy to say that the area is binign (know I spelled that wrong- sorry). Whew! :lovestruc

Wish I could say that my Easter was nice - but I'll try to explain that a little while later.

Oh I wish I was on Deck 9 with you all - or maybe you could all meet me at Signals bar for a good stiff drink! :thumbsup2

Be back on real soon - thanks for being good friends. Don't know where I'd be without DBFF. As they say, friends will get you through. I hope they're right. :)

Sue - glad everything turned out for you. I can see why you would have gotten a few more gray hairs. ;) That must have been very stressful and I'm glad that it turned out to be benign.

Ok, so to be honest, I am having a glass of wine right now and thinking of you and I will raise it for good health for you. Just know good thoughts are being sent your way. :wizard:

Hi Chris - all safe and sound here. Nasty storms came through last night and this morning but all is well.

Congrats on the 300 game last week!

I miss all my deck 9 buddies as well. Hard to believe 4 days could bring so many great memories.

Morning Everyone!

Sue - So glad all turned out well.:flower3:

Dave - Congrats on the 300!:thumbsup2 If you ever cime up this way for a tournment you will have to let us know.

Chris - Like Mary said we had some storms come through here. But then again that is what spring is all about. We had hail the size of a quarter. I am just happy that my car windows were ok. On the other hand my house was not as lucky. It looks like some one took a machine gun to the front of it.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Thanks for all the congrats! Has been a couple of great weeks bowling. Three more tournaments and done for the year.
Chris- I would gladly give you some lessons if I could figure out how to do it consistently.:rotfl:
Flo- I know what you mean about the hail and your house. We got hit last May and it cost $37,000 to fix the house :scared1: Good Luck with the insurance claim.;)
Mary-That is my big smile maker, remembering our Deck 9 meets!! I use it often! I have even perfected another "towel trick" ...:rotfl2:

Have a good day everyone!

Consistent? :confused3 Who's consistent? :lmao: Not me, that is for dang sure. I think it is great though that you can do it. We didn't do any tournaments here this year. But glad you are having a good year!

Flo - sorry to hear about the house damage. Hopefully you will be able to get it repaired with no problems. Mother Nature can really play havoc sometimes can't she?

Well, right now we are planning to go to WDW for Food & Wine Fest again this year. The first weekend in November is when we are planning on going. We just love to go down for that. We have even got a room booked at the Boardwalk! :woohoo: To be able to just walk to EPCOT and back is going to seem like heaven. No bus rides! And then we can go to JellyRolls and not have to worry about trying to get back to our resort by a certain time. We are excited about that! :yay:

Thanks for all of your wonderful thoughts and prayers. It means alot to me to have such great support!

Wow, Dave, another 300 game!!! :yay: I wish I was that good! Sounds like you're having a bunch a fun! Keep up the hot bowling!

Yes, Mary, I'm with you - it is amazing how those four little days have impacted my life. Yes, those days were alot of fun while we were onboard, but to be able to still keep in touch with you all, and share family ups and downs, and know that you all really care, is a true wonder and blessing! Thank you to each and every one of you.
