Good Morning Dave!

Yes, thanks, Dustin is very excited about the band! He was looking forward to going to school today, just so that he could hear his name announced during the morning news - he's such a "ham"!!

Yea, sorry about the pirate thing - it's just too funny when I happen to post on the right numbers! Maybe when we get everything organized for the 2011 MC (hint, hint to everyone) we can do it again!! :rotfl:

What's new in MA? Did you get any fresh snow lately! What else is happening with your family?

Morning Sue,

Don't be sorry, I think it is funny that it keeps coming up. You should start a thread for the 2011 MC, why not we already have one for our June 2011 Alaska cruise.:thumbsup2

Not much new here, just running kids around everywhere. Indoor soccer started, girl scouts is ongoing, band and dance for our older one. We haven't had many snow storms, nothing more than a few dustings now. Most of the snow in our yard has melted, so our daughter can't even ride her snowmobile around.:confused3

Any new trips planned for your family? We have nothing planned until Sept., but nothing with the kids. Camping season will start April 1st., that should keep them busy.

Have a good day Sue!

Joanne - You granddaughter sounds so cute!:cutie:

Joanne, your DGD sounds adorable! And to use a famous quote - you're right - "resistance is futile!" Hope I have such a blessing one day!

awww how cute!

You can not resist that, I know I can't.;)

Thanks for the sweet comments. She certainly has made an enormous difference in my life, as has my older DGD7. I love being a grandma! (And I feel so much smarter now than when I was only a mom! :rotfl: ) Sue and Dianne are right: resistance IS futile.

Sue, you are too cute! :goodvibes

Joanne-have you heard anything on your wbta plans, flights or rooms? I wonder when we will hear anything as we are gty status.

Dave, we haven't heard a thing; we are qty also. :confused3 What category did you book? We've got the Navigator veranda (Cat. 7). I didn't mind the inside cabin for a 4-day, but really wanted the veranda for 2 weeks.

Dianne, I hope you feel better really soon.

Joanne we are a gty11, We are NEVER in the room except to sleep, so I figured why spend extra for an outside stateroom.

You've definitely got to do what works best for you. We do like to sit on the veranda sometimes and watch the waves together and talk (would you believe that after 36+ years, we still find things to talk about???). Also, we like to have the veranda because it gives us somewhere to go if one of us wakes up and doesn't want to wake the other.

lol As you know, I love to go up on deck early in the AM and watch the sun come up, then bring her a coffee back to the room. I would probably still disturb her if I stayed in the room on the verandah, so that is what works for us.

The funny thing is that the members' cruise was the first time we had an inside cabin and because there was no outside light we both kept oversleeping! And that's why we never made the coffee club in the a.m. (Yeah, I know there's an alarm clock in the cabin, but we didn't think we'd need it; DH is almost always up between 5-6 a.m.) If we all get together on the 2011 members' cruise, you can bet we're going to make those early get-togethers!

Hi Everyone. I feel as if I have been away for a long time. Just been busy with the girls and then they won't let me have the computer when we get home. Go figure.

Joanne - your DGD sounds absolutely adorable. Someday I hope to have grandchildren, and I hope it is a long way off since the girls are only 16 and 13! Some day. . . . . And 36+ years is awsome. We are coming up on 20 this September.

Sue - a big old congrats to Dustin!!!!!! :woohoo: Sounds like he is doing really well. What instrument does he play?

Dave - Winter, excuse me - SUCKS!!!!!!, this year. More snow yet today. I tell ya, it can't get over soon enough. Thought our weekend trip to Florida would regenerate us, but it just made us more sick of winter. And now I'm starting to get a head cold. Stuffy nose and stuff. Blech.

So, are some of you considering the 2011 Members Cruise? I have been trying to talk DH into going. It would be so great to see you all again. I am definitely going to keep discussing it with him. Because, well, just because. You are all so great to cruise with!

Chris, thanks. She is an absolute monkey, but oh so lovable. Congrats on your 20 this year (we're Sept. too, the 1st). That's great to hear.

The thought of a 2011 Members' Cruise on the Dream is so exciting. Wouldn't it be great if a bunch of us could meet up on that?

And I hear ya about the snow. We've already had close to 3 feet! In Virginia! I think that's more than the last 20 years put together. Oh, yeah, and we're due to get more in the next week or so. Yuck!

I hope you're all feeling better soon.

:wave2: Everyone!!

Thanks for the :thumbsup2 for DS.

We had fun at the museum and as you can imagine I did not sleep much. We, like Sue, ended up getting snow this past weekend that was supposedly staying south of us. :confused3

DD is really enjoying the snow. You may recall that she asked Santa for snow this year. :lmao: Now if she would just ask him for $1 million, jobs for everyone, more frequent and longer Disney vacations, more cruises, world peace, something other than snow. I will need to make sure snow is not on her list for next year. :rolleyes1

Hope everyone that is under the weather these days is feeling better real soon. I still have this cold and it looks like it is going to linger for a while.

Sue - Congrats to Dustin. How many days a week will you be travelling to Rowan? What instrument does Dustin play?

Dave - Sounds like you are very busy with all your kids activities too. So, if you are not getting much snow does that mean business is slower than usual?

Joanne - Glad to hear you are enjoying time with the grandkids.

Robbie - Have fun planning for vacation!! I have never been to California. I hope to take the kids in a few years. Of course we have to at least wait until Radiator Springs is open. :thumbsup2

During dinner (or was it breakfast..not sure) DS figured out the number of days until our vacation and DD updated the Mickey Countdown hanging on the wall. It's a Christmas countdown but we use it for vacation and then switch to Christmas as soon as we return from vacation. Unless of course there is another vacation planned before Christmas.

Well, not sure if there have been any updates since I left work today but we are all in the 'wait and see' mode at work. It is all over the news in our industry that PNC is looking to sell our division. Looks like they are in the later stages of talks with BONY (Bank of NY). Lots of uncertainty right now. So, I'd like to ask for all your good thoughts in the coming days. I see how it works wonders for other DIS friends here so if anyone has any extra pixie dust to send our way that would be great.

Well, have a great week and I will try to check back in over the next few days.

:flower3:

Joanne - It would be wonderful if we could have like a reunion cruise in 2011. Plus, I can't wait to try the new water coaster on the Dream. :goodvibes

Good Morning Everyone!

Lisa-pixiedust: Here is some pixiedust:for you hope the job is secure pixiedust:

Chris- We are hoping to go on the SSMC11, I think it would be a great Reunion!!

Have a great day everyone

Good morning all!!

YIPPEE! Count us in on the Reunion MC 2011! We definitely want to do that! And wouldn't we all just have a great time together! Just thinking about that possibility makes me smile!

And I'm so happy to hear that you would definitely join us for Sunrise Club, Joanne - we missed you! It was really a nice time - one I will never forget! And that was when we were just getting to know each other - think of what it would be like now! :yay:

Thanks for all of the congrats for Dustin! He is still on cloud 9. He will have rehearsals down in Mainland HS, I think. That's about an hour for me. Then the concert will be at Rowan. He plays the trombone. Well, he played that for the audition and that is what he is in the Honors Band for. But he also plays the trumpet, and is fooling around with one song for the school's spring concert on the tuba - he thinks that's funny.

Here are some Happy Thoughts and pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: coming your way, Lisa. Hope everything works out the way you want!!

We're forecast for a little more snow tonight! And our PA groundhog Phil saw his shadow, so six more weeks of winter! oh, yea! :rotfl2:

So, gotta question for everyone! Our next trip down to WDW is at the end of July. The Scouts from the UK that we do an "exchange" with - every two years one side visits, so we go there every four years, kinda like the Olympics - will be starting this year's trip with a visit to WDW. John's brainstorm - but he did a similar trip with our scouts years ago. Disney has a wonderful Youth Program and they are related to the BSA merit badges. So we'll travel down to meet them there, as we will camp in the group site at Fort Wilderness. But I have never been there during the actual summer, end of July. What should I expect - weather, crowds, etc. - about that time? :confused3

Thanks everyone!

It's official. We are being sold. Supposedly settling 3rd quarter. At least that will allow me to finish school and then see what the future holds. Will start updating the resume and researching other opportunities in the meantime. If I have anything to be thankful at this very moment is that I am finishing up my masters and with the Information Assurance degree I should not be stuck within one industry. Obviously we have no idea right now what the future holds as far as reductions to staffing.

We shall see. Maybe it will turn out to be a good thing. Who knows?!?!?!

Take care and thanks again for the good thoughts and pixie dust.

We've only been down that time of year once and yes it was hot and crowded. I remember we spent lots of time in our villa. I've heard about the group camp site but never knew anyone who used it. Have fun!

Thanks everyone!

Lisa - Been there done that. How wonderful though that you carried on with your education and have a Masters to your credit. I'm sure whether you stay with them or look elsewhere that you'll do great!

Hello my SSM09 friends!

Chris - I am with you! I am so done with the snow. But since this only February I am sure we ill be getting more.:)

Sue - As Mary said it is hot down there at that time. That is when we used to go all the time. We would go to the water parks allot during the hot part of the day or back to the room and the pool. But I am sure it will be allot of fun.

Lisa - Glad you have a positive aditude. That is what will get through this. Like you said you have your education behind you. :wizard::wizard::wizard:

Dave - Flash how is it going with you Tanya and the Family?

take care everyone.

:surfweb:

Robbie-Hope all is well with you, sounds like you are right back at trip planning. :cool1:

Hi! Thanks, all is well here. :goodvibes Yep, back in planning mode for me with my California trip plus the 180 day mark is coming soon for my August WDW trip.

The funny thing is that the members' cruise was the first time we had an inside cabin and because there was no outside light we both kept oversleeping! lol, I know what you mean. Sandi & I had a balcony but we both slept so well that we slept past the coffee club each morning. Next time, I am going to have to make those.

I'm thinking about either '11 or '12 for my next member cruise. Originally Sandi & I were thinking about '12 but now I am leaning towards 11. Just need to get both sisters on board.

Robbie - Have fun planning for vacation!! I have never been to California. I hope to take the kids in a few years. Of course we have to at least wait until Radiator Springs is open. :thumbsup2

Thanks! This will be my first trip to southern CA and it seems like there is so much to do that I will need to go at least once more.

Thanks everyone!

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Good luck! I have been through it a few times myself. Stay positive, sometimes (not always) being sold actually works out for the better.

It's snowing again!!!!!!!!! :scared:

And I am starting to feel worse yet again . I just can't seem to kick this illness. Achy and sore throat.

I am definitely planning for SSMC11 but I think most of you already knew that just from my signature. DD is still talking about going on a cruise. Even DS inquired today as to whether our trip this year was a cruise or just WDW. I told him we were saving out points for SSMC11 and he said....is that when we get to go on the new ship with the new TWEEN location. He and DD are so excited about the new kids areas.

Chris we will be on the Aqua Duck with you. I am so excited to try the slide.

Thanks again everyone for the positive feedback and well wishes. Appreciate the kind words.
