Happy Gobble Gobble Everyone

Mary and Mark - Safe travles today.

Also, safe travles to any one that is traveling today.

I woke up this morning to let the dogs out and went they were right. We got the "S" word over night. Not much but enough to make it slippery. Oh well.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Take care

Happy Turkey Day

We are taking it easy today. We will not host the dinner until Saturday, when DD and her family, can come home. Friday night I will bake my pies, DH is Top Chef in our house, He makes the Turkey, Dressing, german coleslaw etc. I just have to clean the house.

Sue, you sound very busy, with making the Christmas pudding, I tried a recipe, I found one time, it did not turn out very good.

For all of you traveling, be careful and enjoy your trips.:dance3:

Happy Thanksgiving
to All of our Friends!
Many Blessings for each and every one!

DH and I were talking about our year, and decided that cruising with our family, friends, and all of you, our new friends, was definitely the highlight of our year. Thank you soooo much for allowing me to chat your ears off!! When I first started on the thread, I was a little leary of the whole thing! I thought, oh well, what can it hurt. But what I got out of the entire experience is all of you, and our ongoing friendships that I hope will last a long, long time!

So from our house to all of yours:
Have a Wonderful Day
and
THANK YOU!!

I'll have to let you know how it comes out! I let it cool last night and so far, so good - but you never know! I'll know on Christmas Day! :)

Wow, I guess everyone had a wonderful day and you are all sleeping in - or you may be out shopping!!

But anyway, GOOD MORNING !!!!! :)

Have a day of preparation and then tomorrow, our Boy Scout troop runs an all day program for our area Webelos that we call our Pin College, where the cubs can come and complete up to four of their activity pins. All of the classes are run by our Scouts. It's a great day, but alot of work for you-know-who and DH so off I go to start. I'll try to hop back on later!!

Have a great one!

Hey, Sue, hope your day goes well. It's a good thing you do, supporting the Boy Scouts. With all the bad things that kids can do, you give them a wonderful alternative to learn and grow. Good for you and DH.

We (really I) slept in. The older I get, the less I want to be pushed around in some store :scared: . So I left all the bargains out there for the rest of you :lmao: .

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone is having a great day. I have spent my day getting ready for my WDW trip Thursday and up-loading some Yellowstone pictures to a National Park message board that I have found.

Greetings from BLT! Got in about noon and the room wasn't ready so we headed over to Kona Cafe for lunch. We then went over to the Grand Floridian to check out their decorations and do some shopping at Basin. Then got the text that our room was ready. What a great view. I can't wait to see the castle all lit up tonight. Are only plan for the evening is dinner at Wave and maybe go grocery shopping.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and a fun Black Friday.

Glad to hear you two arrived safely. I know the castle lighting will be beautiful. Let us know what you think of BLT. Have a great time!

Hi Everyone!

Do not do much here. We did go out today but not till about 7:00. We went to Home Depot. We got are Christmas tree. We get a real one every year. It is pretty. I also like the smell in the house. We will see how BOld does this year. It could be interesting. Then around 10:00 I went to Target. It was not bad at all. That is it for me.

We went past the Wal Mart here yesterday on the way home from my cousin and that was around 8:00 and the lot was full. They were all probibly waiting for the 5:00AM specials. Did not want to be a part of that.

Have fun tomorrow Sue.:wizard:

Good Morning Everyone! I've missed you all. Glad to see everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was definitely different from usual.

What a long drive to the Southern most tip of Texas. Glad we went, but so glad to be home. I had to drive most of the way down because DH was sick. Which is ok because he has to navigate the cities because I don't read maps very well. We weren't even sure that we were going to be going. But we did. We were able to do some fun things while gone. We spent one night in San Antonio at the River Walk and went to the Alamo. That was really cool. Me and the girls have never been to Texas before so it was all new to us.

My MIL wanted to take us to stuff they like to do. One thing is called Roppa. What this is is like a big garage sale of clothes that are piled up high and you climb up on them and start digging to see what you can find. :confused3 Not my cup of tea, but MIL and the girls had fun.

She also wanted to take us over into Mexico. Well, that was an experience. It started out a nice day but then it started to rain, and do I mean rain. It poured. I looked like I just got out of the shower it was raining so hard. But to me, that is what makes the memories that you won't forget!

We spent Thanksgiving day at MIL's place. She lives in a very nice retirement park. She has a little home and very nice screened in porch area. All her neighbors are great. So, we had like a pot luck dinner with all her neighbors. There were like 14 of us. It was very different for me because I usually cook Thanksgiving dinner at my house. I have for like the last 16-18 years. And then not spending it with my sister, well, that was strange too. I was kinda lost because nobody would let me make anything because we were the guests. OK. But it was a very nice day and very relaxing.

We made it over to see my folks too. They are about a half hour from my MIL's place. They took us out to South Padre Island to show us where they used to stay. Very nice but there was Red Tide going on and as soon as we got out of the truck we all started coughing. It was horrible. But it was nice to see it.

Well, sorry this is such a long post, but I have missed chatting with you all. Like I said before, it is so good to be back home.

Mary - glad you had a safe trip to WDW. Can I ask what floor you are on at BLT? Can't wait to hear how everything is. And we can't wait to stay there next September.

Robbie, Dave and I think Joanne, your time is coming soon to be going down and you must be getting very excited. I will just have to watch the Christmas Parade from home this year, like I do every year, and pretend I'm there. Hope you all have a great time.

Sue - sounds like DS keeps you busy with all the Boy Scout activites. It is great you are so involved. And Lisa too! You guys are such good mom's.

Have a great Sunday everyone! :flower3:

Wow, it sounds like you had a good time down in Texas. :goodvibes How long was the drive? I didn't realize that red tide would impact your breathing.

Yep, almost time for me. I'll be leaving early Thursday morning. I'm on a 7AM flight so I should be landing about 10 AM. Of course, it will be a long day since I will be getting up at about 3:30 am. :scared:

I packed my carry-ons yesterday and also put together my trading pins. I may pack today, but need to decide whether I am bringing any shorts or will just wear jeans.

Hello!

Chris - Sounds like you had a great time. But there is no place like home.

Robbie - Have a safe trip. Enjoy.

Yep. Good times. The drive was like 2400 miles round trip. Coming home we drove 8 hours on Friday and 12 on Saturday. Ughhhhh. All of our hind ends were so tired last night. I don't want to see the vehicle like that again for a while. At least until March when we are driving to WDW for Spring Break. The drive is about the same. Only the scenery is better going to Florida! :thumbsup2

Sue - here's to you! Cheers!
