Hi everyone! I have been off on a business trip all week at an off-site leadership training course. It was very good, but it has been a long week and I am still trying to get caught up on the DIS.

I'll be heading down to my mother's assisted living facility on Thursday to have dinner with her and my sister Patty.

Have a great Thanksgiving Chris and I second your statement of meeting everyone from here has been a highlight this year.

How's the new job going Flo? This is the end of your first full week isn't it?

We will be heading out to Michigan for Thanksgiving with my MIL, so I will probably not be on until after the Holiday as well, So....Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Love all of you and I am feeling really blessed to be associated with each and every one of you...For those traveling, safe travels.

Dave - sorry to have missed your Birthday! So Happy Belated Hope you had a great day and enjoyed yourself.

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Just been busy and exhausted. Haven't even really touched the computer much. My house is a mess from last weekends trip and then trying to get ready to go again, so the suitcases are still out. I have two TV's sitting in the living room from getting a new DVR so we were seeing which TV that we have would work the best in our bedroom/living room. Plus, DH is looking for cheap airfare to go back to Florida sometime before March if he can. And I'm thinking about putting up our Christmas Tree today. I think I need some of Lisa's energy. Lisa, got any to spare?

Chris, actually I think I am all out of it at the moment. It has been a very tough week and I do not see much relief insight. Well, I guess once this class is over I will get some relief. I think I mentioned previously that we have group work. I think that sums it up. The group work is on top of everything else in the class so it has been pretty tough since some of the others are not pulling their weight.
Sue - your pictures are great. I love it! I will PM you my address. I'd love to have one of us. And I too will put it in our DVC frame we received.

Mary- how cool to be at BLT Magic Kingdom view for the holidays. Can't wait to hear about it.

Dianne - hope you had fun at your party.

I started a job on Monday! I am now employed! It feels so good. I really like the place. It is a temp to perm position. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Not one day is really the same.

This is the best Christmas Present I could have gotten.

I want to Thank Everyone for all the support during this. It is much appreciated.

Dianne - for your husband so that something will come through.

Well, you know it is a busy week when I have not even had a chance to read any posts.

I probably missed some of you that may have already left for the holiday vacation but.....

Mary, so glad to hear you are doing well. What a tough year you have had. I hope you and Mark have a wonderful vacation and are able to relax.

Dianne, Thanks for sharing the pictures of your party. Sounds like you all had fun.

Dave, Congratulations on the weight loss. It is a great feeling isn't it!!!

I have lost just over 30 pounds since Spring and I am so happy. I work from home quite often and I also have not spent much time at DS's school this year because of how busy I am with school. But, this week I was in the office Monday - Thursday for a week full of Employee Appreciation events for the technology areas. This was corporate wide so things were going on across many different sites. So, for the events I attended I had so many people commenting on the 'change'. It's just really nice to have people tell you how great you look. What a boost to your spirit. It makes you want to work even harder to reach your goal. I was also at DS's school today for a classroom visit, had lunch with DS, and then the parent teacher conference. Well, same thing there. I had a couple of people make comments. It was very nice. But then you get to thinking....geez, how bad did I look before. That is all in the past though. If I weren't so darn tired right now I'd enjoy it even more but in due time.

Speaking of tired I just noticed it was 1:50am. DD and I went to Delaware to the mall. We had dinner, walked around for a little bit, and then hit the brand new Barnes & Noble store that just opened up this week. That was the primary purpose for the trip. It is 2 stories and we spent hours in the children's section. I think we read about 8-10 books. Browsed through at least 30 others...probably even more. What a great evening! We came home with a bag full of books and even a game. It is a game DD apparently has at school so we bought it to play at home. Of course when we got home around 10:30 we had to play about 5 rounds of the game. Then she wanted to read more books and I said I can not read another book tonight. She fell alseep within minutes....maybe even seconds.

So, I started to pick up a little bit. Sink was filled with dishes. House is a mess from the past two week's neglect but we'll get to it when we get to it.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!! We have our Scouting for Food pickup in the morning. I have to pick up DS at 9am so I had better get to bed.

Wow, Lisa, you were up really late last night! Busy as usual I see. Good Luck with the Scouting for Food today. Our boys are going to be bringing in food during their next few meetings and then at Christmas we will take it all to one of the local food pantries. Its a good thing that our Scouts do, isn't it!

Glad you'll be around Joanne. Sounds like you may have a houseful come Turkey Day! It's so nice to have the kids come home. Boy, do I miss my two! I'm so jealous of my DB and DSIL because their kids are both still in the area - well, one is still actually at home and my niece is married but lives in the next town. And we just recently found out the she is pregnant!!

DH left for work really early this morning because he was giving a friend of ours a ride to work, that is not far from his, but earlier! I should have tried to go back to sleep, but once I'm up I'm usually up for good. So I got a cup of coffee (of course, and raised my mug to my fellow Sunrisers) and sat down to watch an old movie on TV. Wow, you just gotta love Tyrone Power!

It will be off to soccer practice soon for DS, who is feeling better today so far. Then home to finish cleaning and putting the house back together finally after having both the upstairs bedrooms torn apart. It feels good to be almost done! Yippee!!

No, I do not usually work on Saturdays, but I put in 3 hours yesterday trying to catch up. they took a person away from me about 4 months ago. And boy do I feel it. They are reassigning work, and I found out, what I am going to be responsible, for and I was way behind on it and I just can not stand being that for behind, I have the next two days off.

Hopefully the people, that had time to visit and or talk on the phone instead of working will now share the load.

Can't wait for everything to get switched, but I found out I must now train on two new items,,,oh well, I am hoping for the best.

its going to be a good day today, still cleaning the room my Son was in for the last 4 years UGH, he took his stuff and left lots of dirt and dust everyhere.

So, I went shopping last night for a few things for thanksgiving, and treated myself to a new bedding set and valances for my bedroom windows. I should not have done it, but just could not resist, I have not had a new one in over 5 years.

I felt I needed something to boost me!

I could understand you reason for goign in on Sat. The person that I took the job from did not do the stat reporst for 3 weeks. Weach week there are bout 30 pages with two grafs on them.

Only 3 days of work for me as well. Then we head to WDW!!!! No black Friday shopping for us. We'll be finishing the drive to WDW and probably heading to the Magic Kingdom that afternoon. Of course I've never been a black Friday shopper so it isn't like I'm giving up anything.

Gee, I'm really late this morning, but a migraine struck just as I was getting up! Took my meds and am a little better now - at least I can open my eyes - yippee!

DH is off today, so as soon as he is done with a short (we'll see) meeting with the facilities director at our schools is over, we're heading for the grocery store before the crowds get nuts! And if I remember everything, I shouldn't have to go back until after the weekend - I hate the crowds right before a holiday.

Flo, I'm sooo happy for you and the new job! I hope everything keeps going great and glad you like it. It's nice that you even have the holidays off. DDIL just started a new job, so they aren't coming for Thanksgiving cause she has to work the weekend - that low man on the totem pole thing, you know.

Dianne, I glad you treated yourself! We really do need that every now and then, don't we!!

Dave, I'm with you - I can't do Black Friday any more - used to, but not now! Crazy people get on my nerves - must be old age creeping up on me! When do you and Tanya and the girls leave?
