09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

In case you are interested, I just saw over on DVCNews that Member Services now have the points charts for '11 cruises.

I didn't see them posted on the member website. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Just checked my e-mails and my TA got me the 7/5 date we wanted and for less than the 7/12 date (guess the 7/5 date included the on board booking discount). We had booked a dummy date on board the member cruise as well.

Also on the good news front I went to the oncologist today and he told me I officially graduated from chemo! I go back to see him every 3 months for blood work etc. Next appointment is in December!

Congrats on the clean bill of health Mary and also on the Alaskan booking!! We are looking into it, we would like to take the kids with us for this one, so it will be alot of points. Hopefully we can work it out!

That is wonderful news mary. We are also thinking about the alaska cruise just not sure of the pricing yet.

We are looking into it, we would like to take the kids with us for this one, so it will be alot of points. Hopefully we can work it out!

Thanks for the update Dave. We'd like to go too, but will have to check out our calendar. This IS 2011, right? Just making sure. Sumer can be hard for us because of summer camp work. We'll see . . .

Sue- Yes the cruise is in 2011. We haven't chosen a date yet, but I know it is a limited sail season. I would have to check with Tanya when she would be available. I just used that 7/5 date as a guide to get what the actual points might be. The CM said it does fluctuate with different booking dates. We will most likely be going just don't have any idea of the dates yet. It would be great if we could all get together again, we had such a good cruise.

I looked up the points for the WBTA and they're not that bad - but the airfare to Barcelona is out of sight!!

We got our airfare from Disney and flying from Boston to Barcelona then from Orlando to Boston I believe was around $800.00 each, Including transfers. Did you find different rates?

Nope, points can only be done through MS. We're doing cash for this one and saving our points for maybe Disneyland late next year.

Oh wow, then that's not too bad. Silly me, I just searched one way thru the airlines online and they were quoting $1600-2200 just philly to barcelona.

Wow that would have been expensive! I just called Disney and they gave us the other rate.
