It might be a nice change - I'm sure the limitations make eating a little boring at times! And isn't it so true, that even at that young age, they really do understand what is going on with themselves! :worship:

Ok this is what I love most about Disney, the Chefs are amazing. They make amazing meals for her. That are fun and meet her diet. they special order in food for her. We just have to tell them where we are dining.

Last year in Germany, They forgot she was comming. The chef said he was sorry he was not prepared asked what she wanted to eat and still made a great dinner for her and since he forgot. He gave her a Epcot mug, Tinker light up. and made her feel very special.

Next week, on Saturday night while we're at DTD, we want to try the new balloon thing "Characters in Flight". Have you guys done that yet? It looks like fun!!

that is awesome. disney is such an outstanding place to go since they really do try to make every effort to accomodate their guests.

Ok- so what is your all time favorite disney memory?

the first time my daughter went to disney was when she was 2 years old. This was also my first "solo" trip with just the two of us. I had been to disney so many times, I knew my way around, so I took her for her birthday. I was sooo paranoid that I was going to lose her in a crowd somewhere, I didn't let her out of her stroller unless we were waiting in line for something!

Almost every single picture I have of her from that trip is her sitting in that stroller! My hubby made fun of me because I wouldn't get her out to take a picture in front of something... I just "parked" her. didn't want to chance her finding a way to escape!!

I was so nervous with her since she was my first, and it was our first trip to a big vacation spot!!

We have quite a few really special ones - but there is one that I always tlk about!

Years ago, when the older boys were still young, we were at a character breakfast when they still did them on the Empress Lily (which is now Fulton's Crab House). We were there with other friends and their three boys too. We were watching for Mickey and he stopped at a table near ours. As he stopped to take pictures with a boy and his family, they had apparently informed "Mickey" that their son was deaf but really loved Mickey and wanted a hug. Mickey, who of course did not utter a word, held up his hand signaling that he would be right back. A few seconds late, out comes Mickey, this time with REGULAR white gloves on his hands. At that moment, he started to do ASL (american sign language) with the boy and his family!! The boy was so excited and happy he just couldn't believe what was happening and the mother was in tears - as were all of us who were now staring in amazement!!! Then Mickey walked away again, and came back out with his "mickey" hands on, and continued his rounds!

It was the most magical thing I have ever seen!!!

My hubby said that the balloon ride looked really cool when he was there last week... but he said it was really high up there! :scared1:

I'll watch while drinking my strawberry margarita!!

So who is still not packed?

Um, that would be me.

Do you guys put names on your FE gifts?

I put the cabin # on the outside of the gift so I know where it goes (and it matters because each package is pretty well individualized).

My favorite Disney thing to do is MNSSHP. We always try to go there each year in October so we can go for that celebration. I think the Halloween fireworks show is the best one they have.

Favotire ride is still the haunted mansion. I haven;t been on it since they redid it- I stayed with the boys and my DH went with my DD last November... so I'm looking forward to that one!!

We HAVE to go on Pirates and Haunted Mansion always. Soarin' has also been added to that list recently.

I did that today. I made a pork roast in the slow cooker. It came out great. i like to used the slow cooker. Has any one ever made a Meatloaf in there? I tried it and I was not sure how it would come out. That is the only way I make it now. It comes out so moist.

Flo, would it be possible to get the pork roast and meat loaf recipes? They sound delicious.

Dianne, aren't kids amazing in their adaptability? My DBFF has a son who has celiac and I remember him at his second birthday party saying, "That's cake. I can't have that." I can't imagine limiting my cooking like that, but that's what you do when you love someone, so I guess you figure it out. (If I'm not making much sense, it's because I'm really tired and getting ready to head for bed.)

Good night, everyone. Talk w/you tomorrow.

Oh my goodness! This story brought tears to my eyes! My DH's sister is deaf... and I'm really trying to pick it up as best I can. I can pretty much finger spell at this point, and I know a few odds and ends here and there... but how awesome is that story!! That would certainly be one of my favorites too!! what a feel good story!!
