I'll be back in a few minutes - have to go to a friends and drop off all of the clothes that are too small for DS and the old toys and games for their garage sale - thank goodness I can get these bags and boxes out from under foot! :thumbsup2

Don't have too much fun without me!

Ahoy there all you SSMC 09ers! Here's hoping you have a joyous time and make minnie magical memories! To our old friends from SSMC 08, we wish we were going with you, but we will have to see about next year - we're saving for Ko'Olina in 2012. So, grab those last pirates and ES's, and don't forget your swimsuit! Enjoy your extra stop at CC. We'll look forward to your pictures! Happy sailing!!

Not to say that it will all be over. I have to have surgery to remove the port when we come back from the cruise and will have many tests over the coming years, but it is an important milestone.

Thank you all for your support over the past 7 months. It really means a lot to me and has really helped.

Mary, I am so happy for you, if you were here I would hug you:grouphug::grouphug:

Ok, so I leave for a couple of minutes and you two get chatty!!

I love shepherd's pie - how do you make yours? ;)

Hi Joanne,

I love Shepherd's Pie...if it isn't a secret recipe...would you mind sharing it.

Thank you and take care....Monika:flower3:

Sue and Monika,

As I said, this is about the easiest thing to make, and I'm certain those who are knowledgeable about such things will shake their heads in despair, but this is how my mom made it: The proportions are 1 lb. of lean ground beef, one small can of tomato paste, and one 15 oz. can of French-style green beans. Brown the meat, then add the tomato paste and stir. Add the liquid from the green beans to the empty tomato paste can and stir the remaining paste into the liquid. Add to the ground beef and stir. Add pepper/salt to taste. Serve over mashed potatoes.

And yes, that is all I put into it.

Oh Joanne, this is soo funny!! I'll have to copy the quote and show my mom because that's exactly how she did hers and how she showed me!! I do it pretty often, mostly in the chillier weather! thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Joanne, how different than how we know shepards pie here. We just season a pound of meat(ground beef or left over roast beef) put a layer of corn on top(usually frozen) and top it off with a layer of mashed potatoes and bake all together for an hour. I had never heard of it served with beans and tomato paste, but my DW says yours sounds alot better than ours.

Yay Mary. So glad to hear about that. Prayers are with you. :littleangel:

The ones I am looking for all say "Heard the best kept Disney Secret?" and they have a character with a raised ear. I believe the original was Pluto. I also have Goofy, Stitch, Lady & the Tramp, and now Dumbo. I was told by a DVC cast member that there are only 6, so I'm just missing Timon. These have been out for quite some time. They are not sold, just given out by DVC at specific locations. When we got the Lady & the Tramp pin, I was told they were only handing them out on the cruise ships, so anyone else had to find someone to trade or find them on eBay.

Wow, I never knew that there were different versions of that pin. :goodvibes
