Congrats to Sue and Marsha on the 3 big ones. You all will have to go a long way to catch up with me....what? I still haven't got any? My timing is officially for the birds. I wish they had a smilie doing a raspberry!

Morning!

I was wondering has any one has ever done the online check in for the DVC resorts. I know this is farley new.

I am thinking of doing this.

Thanks:)

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Not feeling too bad today. Getting unhooked today and I'll be officially done with round #10. Got to work at 7 am yesterday and didn't leave until 6 pm but we got a lot done during training. More today and the rest of the week but I think yesterday was the most intense for my part of it.

Better get breakfast and then off to work. We start training at 8 and I still have some work to do before that.

Have a great day everyone!

Flo - we did on line check in this past June at SSR. It worked really slick. DH just walked up to the counter that said on-line check in, gave our name, and boom, the CM handed him our folder, told us where our room was and out the door we went! What was amazing was we got to the resort at 9:00 am on Saturday morning, and not expecting our room to be ready, we were just going to leave our stuff in the car, but it was ready for us! It took about a whole 5 minutes. But then again, there weren't too many checking in that early in the day. But we would definitely do it again. :goodvibes

Glad you are feeling ok Mary. I can't imagine going through chemo and working 11 hours yesterday. Just don't tire yourself out too much. Good thoughts are being sent your way. :wizard:

Chris,

Thanks so much for the response.:) We should be in the same boat as you were. We are not coming in till Friday Night around 9:00 so there should not be to many people checking in.

Take care

So are you buying..or were you just looking?
They had a special Cast Member tour yesterday......I hadn't vistited yet, so I wanted to see it. I was extremely impressed!

I really don't want to buy any more points, BUT I am going to see what incentives they have on the DVC cruise!

We just might buy some! We know we can use our other points ( we own at Hilton Head and Saratoga Springs) but there are some perks to own at Bay Lake....Hey did you realize the initials are BLT? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What makes it so different from the other properties? Is it just the view and location?

I absolutely LOVED the decor! And of course the views and location! The grounds look beautiful, the swimming pool is in the shape of a Mickey Head, the "common room" where the recreation staff would have activities is great, and there are 4 computers there, a big screen tv with wii and lots of board games for families.

The kitchens are great, oh, and also the TOP of the WORLD LOUNGE! and we could see all of WDW from the balcony on the 16th floor!

I am going on the september 5 7day western cruise before the member cruise. We are flying in on sept 5 the day of the cruise. I have ordered transfers from the airport to port. It makes me nervse to be coming in the day of the cruise but how does thw transfer from the airport to port.

It shouldn't be a problem coming in on the morning of your cruise, especially since you bought Disney Transportation, it's very reliable!

Your luggage will have your Disney Cruise Line luggage tags on it, before you leave home, and it will be separated at the airport and taken to the port.
You will follow the instructions to where you will be met by the DCL reps in the airport and they will direct you to the right bus loading area. Off you go to the port! Check in at the cruise terminal, and you are done!

I was playing around and DCL web site and found this. Not sure if this is what you want. I was trying to find the things I used to know were they were until they changed it.

Ground Transportation

1.Prior to the start of your vacation, you will receive a Documentation Packet that includes special luggage tags. Attach the tags to your luggage and bring the included vouchers with you to the airport.

2.At your hometown airport, check your luggage as you normally would at the start of a trip.

3.Upon landing at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center. Disney will collect your luggage and deliver it to your stateroom. (International Guests arriving into Orlando must first claim their luggage and clear Customs and Immigration. Once cleared, luggage will then be returned to the main baggage claim where Disney Cruise Line will collect it and deliver it to the Guest's stateroom.)

4.From the Disney Welcome Center, you're off to your Disney Cruise Line ship! Board a deluxe, air-conditioned motor coach, sit back and relax as we chauffeur you to the Disney Cruise Line Terminal at Port Canaveral.

5.After your cruise has ended, return back to Orlando International Airport in a deluxe air-conditioned motor coach.

I agree about the weather. It is so nice because the humidity is not high. I put my air on but not till about 1:00. Will go off for the night.:)

I have a bunch of things sitting on the coach in the basement with the suit cases under them that they go into. That is as far as I got.

take care

Marsha,

I looked at the list and it was Mary.:)

Thanks.

Hello everyone. This morning I had to take my car to the shop because terrible sounds were coming from the engine. Well, I needed a timing belt, which had come loose, and a water pump that was damaged by the timing belt coming undone, and a thingamabob that holds the timing belt in place. Needless to say the repairing it took all day and cost a whole lot of money. UGH! Three weeks ago I had a tune up and that was more $ and last month Dh's car needed new brakes. I cannot believe how much $ we have spent on our cars in one month time. But, I am grateful that we were able to get them fixed. It just sucks charging stuff to the credit card that I wasn't planning on. The bright side: I used my Disney card so I should have some good rewards.

I have the suitcases on a bed in one of our bedrooms with some few things in them already. I will probably start packing about two weeks out.
