Glad you could join us on the cruise! My family lives in the north west burbs of IL.

This is are 5th cruise and are first Member Cruise. I love to cruise (thanks to Disney) and I love Disney, so I get them both at once.

Your children will have a blast.

As Mary said check out the first page firs tpost for the happinings. And if you have any questions ask away I am sure some one here could answer it.

Are you coming in early? We are flying in on Friday night to stay at the Boardwalk.

Well, today is my Friday! Yippee.

Tomorrow is a state holiday, Pioneer Day. It is the day the Pioneers trekked their way into the Salt Lake Valley.

There is a huge parade, not sure if I want to fight the crowds though as it is suppose to be about 100 degrees tomorrow. People start camping out tonight at 6 p.m. I think. Did that when we were younger, too old for that stuff now, especially in the heat.

Just glad the work week is about over!

Welcome, Carrie.

Very important are:
1. Don't overpack.
2. Don't try to do everything (that's what the next cruise is for )
3. Have lots of fun!

We've never done the members' cruise before, just the regular cruises, but this one sounds like it's going to be fabulous. We just can't wait.

I am also cruising on the Wonder August 13 and people on that thread are just now getting their documents. As of last night, I haven't received mine. So it looks like DCL is running 2-3 weeks out before the cruise.

Linda, you lucky duck! So how many times to Disney so far this year? Weren't you there earlier this year with a cheerleading thing, and now a cruise in August and another in September? I'd say, you are one lucky person!!!!! I wanna go with you.

I was just thinking the other day about our trips to WDW and on DCL and I hate to say it but I think I am enjoying the ones on DCL more because they are more, much more, relaxing. I think that when we are at WDW we have to go, go, go, because we need to do this and that and we only have a week, etc. etc. etc. But on the cruise, especially the Member Cruise, I don't have to do anything I don't want to. And especially this time when all I have to worry about is DH, and he can take care of himself! But I do feel guilty about leaving the girls at home, but with school and everything they are involved in, they just can't miss anymore. A Jr in High School and an 8th grader middle school student who are involved in everything, the teachers are getting upset with us. So, we talked, and they are staying home. Which, is ok, mom and dad need some time away together. It has been along time since we have done that. The only sad thing for me, is on Saturday when we fly out we are missing our hometown celebration called, Pufferbilly Days - in honor of our Train Heritage - and both girls will be in the High School and Middle School marching bands. Usually they both take first place in our Divisions. But, my sister and mom and dad will be there for them. So, I will see it on video. Plus, I will get to see them march at few other parades after we get home and the football games at home so I won't miss them marching completely. Sorry, if you can't tell, I am trying to tell myself it is ok that I am missing this one parade. I try not to miss anything the girls are in, but me and DH really need a trip to ourselves.

This will be my first DVC cruise, but my second DCL cruise overall. However, my first cruise was way back in '04. So this seems more like my first cruise.

I was looking at the Cruise Magnet thread and saw that Charles likes balls. I did one for my grandson not too long ago and thought Charles might like one similar to it. Of course I assumed, being from Maryland, ya'll might be Oriole fans. I look forward to meeting ya'll on the cruise.

We will be getting there early- we fly in on the 10th... just in time for the Not So Scary halloween party! This was a double bonus for me, since that is my favorite thing that Disney does! This will be our first time staying off the Disney Properties. My husband will be down there for work, so we are staying where they are paying! (The Hilton by downtown Disney). I guess I will have to cancel my Animal Kingdom reservations....

A week from today is the cut off for the linked dinning. So if you would like to be added to the list please send me the below information before next Friday (July 31st) so I can add you to the list that I need to send to Disney.

Below is the information I will need for ALL involved (regardless of age). I will need this info no later then the end of July 2009. I know there is some time, but I just wanted to let everyone know.

1) Legal name of Each guest in the stateroom or staterooms
2) Stateroom
3) Age of each guest (at time of sailing)
4) Early or Late seating
5) Who you would like them to be linked to.

Each Waiter can accommodate 18 guests. The tables for each station are 8, 6 and 4.
