Thank you All for the concern of my daughters 1st attempt. She is not the kind to give up, so she will try again next semester.

Todays weather reached 102 where we live, and so I had to look at this picture to remind me of a cooler place. (Castaway Cay)

I sat in that chair with the water line starting just above my waist, and just watched the tide come in.

Wow it was hot by you! Not here.

That loos so good. Sure wish I was there. It is rainy and ucky here.

Glad your daughter has not given up.

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday.

Still raining here but it is a nice steady rain and is really help green us up.

Ray - thanks for the great picture. I know last year we met up with a group of DISers at the end of the family beach. Mark was happy sitting in the shade reading his book but I went and joined them in the water with our short chairs. We even had a visit from Captain Jack!

I'm not much of a swimmer (there's an understatement!), but I LOVE to sit in the little chairs and let the water ebb and flow on my legs. It's wonderful! And then the CMs will bring you drinks, too! What more could anyone ask??

Oh, and I think I'm developing ES and Pirate envy. Just can't get one of those little guys.

Dianne - I bet they wish they did, but they wear shorts and tennis shoes. They ask you if you would like a beverage, take your card, and bring back your drink and card to you. I feel kinda sorry for them walking back and forth up and down the beach all day. They really do get a workout! But the drinks are sooooo goooood!!!!!

This info below was posted on the main cruise thread. Just wondering if any of you had heard the same thing?

DVC Members & Cruising

I don't know if other DVC members know this or not but...

I just found out a few minutes ago from DCL that if you are a DVC member and not cruising on points you may not be getting any goodies, this is a cost saving measure. But if you have your DVC member card you can stop by the DVC desk on the 4th floor and they will have some small gifts. PLus DVC members will still get an invitation to the onboard reception.
