Mark, on the right-hand bottom of the box of each reply you will see a couple of buttons. If you click on QUOTE, you can reply to that person's comment. To quote multiple ones, use the "+ button for all but the last quote, then use the QUOTE button for the last quote to be included. Hope that makes sense.

I understood your explanation, and Thanks! I always forget how to do that!

Thanks Joanne! The girls named them, Abby, Magee, and Dinosso (sp) from NCIS, their favorite show. We have gotten all our pets from the shelters, they do such a great job with the pets.

I absolutely love the names for the cats! How great it that - and besides, it IS a great show! Best wishes for long and happy kitty lives for all three - glad the kids are so happy! :thumbsup2

WOW! came home from work to find almost three pages of chatting to catch up on. After what is becoming a grueling week at camp, I'm so very happy to come home and read happy, happy thoughts about our wonderful, so-to-be-here vacation!!!!

DBFF is coming over either tonight or tomorrow so that we can organize our FE gifts and go over which door magnet ideas we want to do - I'm so excited. I've never decorated our door on the cruises before. When we went to WDW in 2007 and did our big family thing we called "John's 20/20" we decorated our door and the balcony - not to mention ourselves!

I can't wait!

We were there on a Monday on our Eastern July 4. The day we were there the Post Office was closed, and it was not a weekend, either.

I work on Thursday and I'll find out if it will be open for us. Connie

And THANKS, EVERYBODY, FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! Connie

We've been there a number of times when the Post Office has been closed...they work on Bahamian time you know.

Anyway, you can still purchase your postcard on Castaway Cay. Then take the postcard with the cash needed to mail, give to Guest Services and then the next time the ship goes to Castaway Cay, a Cast Member will go to the post office and get them postmarked for you. Instead of waiting a month for the postcard to get to you, you wait an extra week or so.

You know, whatever...........mon.........:woohoo:

Robbie,

Raddison port has this. Below is the link. I had it saved because we ere going to stay there.

Thanks! I think that I will call tonight to make a reservation for Sandi & me. It looks like they have a great cancellation policy. We can cancel up until the 10th. So I think that I will book and then when we book at St Augustine for Friday night, if we decide to do 2 nights then I will cancel.

Happy Birthday Tom & Connie!

Were you in a handicapped accessible room? Everytime we have sailed, we go to the Animator's Palett for the evacuation drill. You are allowed to use the elevators if you are disabled.

No. I didn't want to request one since I was having surgery in June (Friday, 06/13/08!) The surgeon said I would be fine but possibly avoid some of the rides that would move a lot.

Happy Birthday

Connie

Happy Birthday Tom!

:bday::cake::bday::cake::bday:

Happy Birthday Connie!

From me too!

From us as well!!!

My you all have been a chatty bunch. I think the closer the cruise gets the more chatty we will become.

Welcome back. Hoping to get to know you better. We will be traveling with DS who is also 2. We have already made reservations for him for the Flounders Reef Nusery so that we can go to Palo's for brunch.

In regards to the fish extenders, Flo, already posted a link to the thread that discusses/describes FEs. Here is a link to a thread that talks about FE gifts: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2100779 & a link to instructions on a no sew FE: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=30302583&postcount=609

Congratulations from me too!

At what resort will you be staying? We are staying at the BCV. We will be attending the MNSSHP on Sept. 11. We have already purchased our tickets through DVC. DS is 2. We went to Disney in Feb. he loved the characters. I am hoping he still will when we are there in Sept.
When we went in Feb. my uncle, who is retired military, was able to get a 5-day park hopper with option ticket for free and also purchase 5 5-day park tickets for $99. DH & I added the park hopper option to our tickets for an additional $25. This is called Salute to the Military (I believe) and is available for all active or retired military until December.

Happy Birthday Tom & Connie! Enjoy your day.

Best wishes to you and hope you had a great day.

:eek: oh no!! I am kicking myself now to have book Vero Beach for after the cruise instead of a WDW property..I didn't think Halloween celebration would be already on!!
I wonder if I could switch..??

Betcha could. Halloween at Disney is the best. We love it there at that time.

Same with me..found the board when we first booked the cruise too, then life got in the way!!

We are really looking forward to the cruise as well, we talked about it every day now.

Our kids are 12, 10, and 5 and are so excited!

:cheer2:

Life got in the way??? :confused3 This is the life! :rotfl: Just kidding! Glad you are back with us. :thumbsup2

Tonight, my neighborhood will be participating in National Night Out events in our development. I am looking forward this event. The theme is luau sos we will have limbo and hula hoop contests for children and adults. The volunteer fire department will come to do a wet down for the children and the volunteer rescue squad comes to the neighborhood to give ambulance rides. It is a fun event. I am looking forward to it.

Marsha - that sound like such fun. We live in the country so no neighborhood for us. Sometimes I miss living in town, but then again, it is so peaceful where we are. Hope you guys enjoy yourselves!

Hey Flo,
I LOVE the Boardwalk- stayed there a looong time ago when we did a big family vacation. It was great. We have reservations at the Animal Kingdom, but I actually think we are going to stay off site this time- at the Hilton accross from Downtown Disney. My husband will be there for work stuff, so might as well let them pick up the tab, right?! HA!!

Love going to Disney when someone else is paying. How much better can it get!

Which brings up another question. When kids go in and out of the club- I know they can be signed in and out, or they can come and go as they please. At what age would you reccommend coming and going as they please, or would it be wiser if she was signed in/out? I was thinking about getting those walkie-talkie things so that we could stay in contact.... thoughts/opinions/words of wisdom??

Love the military. We have used the military discounts before as DH is retired from the military. We have stayed at Shades of Green on 3 different occasions and think that place is beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate staying there ever. But since we are now DVC members, we don't have to stay there because we have so many other choices to choose from! :woohoo: Love it!

As to the kids clubs, well, our kids were able to check them selves in and out when they were about 10-11. Under that they couldn't check themselves in and out. When we went on the Eastern Carribbean in 2005, our youngest was 8 and we didn't allow her to check in and out by herself. Which worked out great. As she didn't want to go ashore with us one day and so we checked her into the club and made sure she couldn't check herself out - always the nervous mom here-and the other three of us went ashore and she stayed on board and had a great time! We didn't have to worry at all about her because she was in good care. We tried the walkie-talkie things, but they just didn't work for us. Couldn't get a good signal and then if we could, we couldn't understand what the girls were saying. So we have gone with leaving notes either on the door to our room or in our little fish outside the door. But the girls are now 16 and 13, so when they are with us, they are pretty much able to go anywhere by themselves on board. Hope this helps a little.

Ok, really- I MUST go to work now!!!

Work! What do you mean Work! :confused3 That soooo gets in the way of DIS time! :lmao:

Thanks Joanne! The girls named them, Abby, Magee, and Dinosso (sp) from NCIS, their favorite show. We have gotten all our pets from the shelters, they do such a great job with the pets.

I absolutely love the names for the cats! How great it that - and besides, it IS a great show! Best wishes for long and happy kitty lives for all three - glad the kids are so happy! :thumbsup2

Ok, Dave, I told my oldest daughter about the names of your new kittens-and she got it right away and laughed too--but then she said what about Gibbs and Ducky? You can't forget them. :rotfl: So, I guess that means you may have to add on to the family. Just kidding. They are great names.

Hope you have fun with your new additions.

I haven't read anything about a specific dress code for kids in the kids clubs- just making sure that there isn't one, or that I can find out information on it. I'm assuming short/tanks/t-shirts are all ok.

:jumping1::jumping1:

I went to get my mail and there was an envelope from Magical Express!!:woohoo: It had my luggage tages for the bags for Boardwalk before the cruise!:) It came with a cure little personaled pamphlet with are airline info and names.

party:party:

Just wanted to share.

Flo and Sue,

I received my ME packet yesterday also. :cool1:

I have also received the pamphlet the past few times we vacationed. It is very convenient. Make sure you bring it along because they will scan it when boarding the bus.

Well I can barely keep up with all of you these days. It takes forever to read through all the posts when I can not get on every day. By the time I am done I forget all the replies I wanted to send.

We watched Escape to Witch Mountain on DVD tonight so I was working on my audit for work while watching the movie. Then I got on the thread and started reading. I am exhausted.

Dave - Congrats and good luck with the kittens.

We had 4 dogs at one time for many years but we are pet free these days. DD is allergic so no pets. I am okay with that though. I loved my dogs but after having 4 with the largest being an English Mastiff and the next largest being a Lab, I am happy to have my house and yard back. Maybe one day if we ever find a pet DD can tolerate on a regular basis. Although she wants a horse. Just about every week she asks if she is old enough now to get a horse. :scared1:

Mary - Hope you are feeling well these days. :flower3: You are getting close to the end of your treatments...right???

Annmarie - I hope you are also feeling well. Sounds like you have been having a tough time this past year.:flower3:

Connie and Tom - Happy Birthday!!!

Chris - I was cracking up when you were explaining the corn detassling several pages back. Never heard of it so I was glad someone asked the question. Glad to hear DD had a nice performance last week. Sorry she did not get selected. But what a wonderful experience. I always stress to any kids I have the chance to work with (school programs, scouts in my den, etc) to take advantage of these types of opportunities. Starting at a young age with getting up and speaking or performing in front of some type of audience is great. I see so many younger students in my masters courses and even coworkers that can not speak in front of people. Sounds like your girls are both very well rounded. Great job!! :thumbsup2

To the various Newcomers to the DIS this week.... WELCOME!!:cheer2: This is our first cruise and we are looking so forward to meeting everyone also.

Okay everyone I have to call it a night. Have not gotten my studying done for my quiz tomorrow night :sad1: so I better get off the DIS. I want to be able to report back another 10/10. :woohoo:

Have a great Wednesday!!!

If you are going to go to the Halloween party, what will your kids dress up as this year?

My daughter got a Jasmine costume for Christmas, so I think that is what she is planning, but wondering about the boys..... I have a few play costumes already.... a pirate and a vampire. (Already thinking about bringing the pirate costume for the pirate party I've been hearing so much about).

Are you already planned out for Halloween? :scared1:

I absolutely love the names for the cats! How great it that - and besides, it IS a great show! Best wishes for long and happy kitty lives for all three - glad the kids are so happy! :thumbsup2

Sue-It is an awesome show, both my daughters love Abby. I better watch for spider web tattoos..LOL Thanks

Thanks again Chris, the kittens have really taken well to my daughters. Almost to the point of being shadows.:lmao:

Have a great day everyone!!

Lisa-Thanks for the wishes, I would love to get a dog as well, but they demand much more attention than cats.

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Mary - Hope you are feeling well these days. :flower3: You are getting close to the end of your treatments...right???

Yes I'm getting closer. If things work out I'll be done the end of this month! Here's hoping!

Sue-It is an awesome show, both my daughters love Abby. I better watch for spider web tattoos..LOL Thanks

Another NCIS fan here. I like Abby a lot but my favorites of Gibbs and Ducky. I've been a fan of both of them from their much earlier days.:)

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

An investment in Hefty 2.5 gallon zip bags makes packing and travel much easier.

We use these bags for packing all the time. Swimsuits in one, underwear in another, t-shirts, shorts, you get the idea. If you are flying and have your bags searched by TSA you won't have anyone handling your clothes.

Now here's a tip for those with kids. Put a different complete outfit in each back. Underwear, socks, bottom, top. When you get to the ship just unpack the bags but don't open them. Each morning you have the clothes for the day ready. If the kids can dress themselves even better. No more mis-matched items or looking for missing pieces.

The bags also work great to take dry shirts with you on excursions or to keep your books, camera, etc. clean and dry while on CC.

We are NCIS fans to!

Love the show.

Dave - Glad the kittens and the kids are getting along so well. If you can take pictures of the NCIS crowd and post.

Is any one going to watch the spin off NCIS. It looks good. One of the NCIS people is supposed to go to that show. We will see when the new season starts.

Mary - We always take plastic bags to. They come in handy for allot of things like you said.:)

Take care and have a good day.
